Ninja World, Fire Country
It was a bright and sunny day.
After the exhilarating battle from the previous night, Bai Ye's mood had significantly improved.
However, at this moment, the Captain of the Uchiha Guard found himself locked in a bizarre stare-down with a peculiar rabbit.
Yes.
After eliminating the remnants of the Ōtsutsuki Clan the night before, Bai Ye had decided not to rush back immediately. Instead, he chose to rest and recover, enjoying his well-earned respite. Traveling at night, especially after he had shattered the moon into pieces, diminishing its glow, was simply not appealing.
This was a vacation, not a battlefield. And Bai Ye, ever the pragmatist, opted for comfort.
To his surprise, upon waking up the next morning, his female companions were gathered around a snow-white rabbit, chattering excitedly.
Curious, he walked over to inspect the commotion.
It was unlike any rabbit he had ever seen.
Its fur was pristine, radiating an almost ethereal glow under the sunlight. Red pupils flickered with an otherworldly light, and on its forehead was an intricate pattern resembling the Nine Tomoe Rinnegan. Its ears did not stand upright like those of an ordinary rabbit but instead lay gracefully backward.
When the rabbit saw him, it elegantly stepped forward, locking eyes with him in an unspoken challenge.
Bai Ye furrowed his brows. "So, what exactly are you?"
This was no ordinary animal.
The rabbit's presence was surrounded by an unusual energy. Its soul fluctuated in a way no mere creature should, yet neither his Sharingan nor Byakugan revealed anything beyond the massive chakra signature it housed.
A strange soul. A familiar presence.
A regal aura emanating from an otherwise adorable form.
"I've never heard of a rabbit being a Tailed Beast," Bai Ye muttered, rubbing his chin in thought.
Had his presence in this world caused an unintended ripple effect?
Neither the original Naruto storyline nor even the questionable Boruto sequels had ever mentioned such a being.
Aside from possessing an enormous chakra reserve, this rabbit also had a ridiculously strong soul. Earlier, when Tsunade had attempted to pick it up, the rabbit had not only refused but had also shot her a glare of disdain so sharp that it left even the Fifth Hokage momentarily taken aback.
Bai Ye couldn't help but compare it to Parker, Kakashi's summon.
However, he was certain that this rabbit could easily obliterate a hundred Parkers without breaking a sweat.
"Strange… just what the hell are you?" Bai Ye mused, peering at the rabbit more closely.
A Goddess Trapped in a Rabbit's Body
The concubine is not an ordinary being.
The concubine is the noble goddess of the moon, the progenitor of chakra!
The rabbit, exuding an air of arrogance, raised its head, staring at the man who scrutinized her.
That's right.
She was no mere rabbit.
This was Ōtsutsuki Kaguya herself, the very being once sealed away by her own sons, now reborn in an unusual form.
The sequence of events leading to this bizarre predicament was simple enough.
Bai Ye's devastating assault had fractured the supposedly inescapable Six Paths: Planetary Devastation seal. Despite the Sage of Six Paths' reinforcement, the impact had created a breach just large enough for Kaguya's soul to slip through.
Though her physical power remained sealed, Kaguya's spiritual essence was still formidable. Much like how she had released Black Zetsu before her imprisonment, she had now managed to manifest herself through a different means.
Upon absorbing some of Bai Ye's residual chakra from the ruins of the moon, she had mustered enough strength to use her soul energy and remaining chakra to create a temporary vessel.
Thus, she had followed the fragmented passage to Earth, barely escaping destruction from the lingering energy bursts that had annihilated the remaining gateway.
Now, however, she was stranded. The passage had completely collapsed behind her, making a return to the moon impossible.
Had it not been for the remnants of Bai Ye's chakra stabilizing her form, she would have been obliterated before even making it to Earth.
This was the reason Bai Ye had sensed a familiarity within her aura.
A Mysterious Man with an Impossible Power
Kaguya's first impression upon exiting the broken gateway had been of the man standing before her.
A mortal… yet one powerful enough to shatter the Six Paths seal?
The energy lingering within her body made it clear: this man had been responsible.
She observed him carefully, growing increasingly certain of one thing.
This man… he is the one who has turned my world upside down!
Kaguya's Byakugan activated, scanning her surroundings. The world she had once ruled was now unfamiliar, vastly different from the one she had left a millennium ago.
She needed answers.
She needed to know if her Will Incarnate—the Black Zetsu—had succeeded in carrying out the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan.
But for now, she had no means of finding out.
Thus, she reached a conclusion.
This man… I must stay near him.
Beyond simple curiosity, there was another pressing reason for her to remain.
His energy…
The aura he emitted was unlike anything she had encountered, even among the Ōtsutsuki Clan.
Merely being near him seemed to nourish her fragmented soul.
If she stayed close, absorbing his energy slowly, she might eventually regain her true form—without needing to enact Infinite Tsukuyomi ever again.
What manner of existence is he?
Doubt flickered through Kaguya's crimson eyes.
She was certain of one thing—this man was stronger than any Ōtsutsuki she had ever known.
Bai Ye's "Plaything"
"Why does this rabbit seem so attached to you?" Kurenai Yuhi asked, resisting the urge to pick up the strange creature.
It wasn't that they hadn't tried.
But each time someone got too close, the rabbit would shoot them a look so full of scorn that it made them feel completely unworthy.
It was an unspoken decree:
You are not worthy to touch me.
Such arrogance—coming from a rabbit, no less!
Bai Ye smirked. "Maybe it's because I'm handsome."
With a casual motion, he reached out his hand.
Kaguya, expecting this, had already prepared herself.
She was even considering how best to subtly absorb more of his energy.
However, Bai Ye had no intention of playing by her rules.
Instead of gently caressing her fur, he grabbed her by the ears and lifted her up.
Kaguya's mind went blank.
Mortal! How dare you?!
A thousand years of dignity—shattered in an instant.
Fury surged within her as she flailed her tiny legs in defiance.
Bai Ye raised an eyebrow. "Oh? You're mad now? Such an expressive little thing."
He leaned in, scrutinizing her closely. "Can you talk? Like Kakashi's ninken?"
Kaguya: Of course, the concubine can!
But she wasn't about to dignify him with a response.
She huffed, turning her head away indignantly.
Patience… patience… she reminded herself.
When the time is right, I shall reclaim my full power. Then, perhaps, I shall allow this man to kneel before me.
For now…
She had no choice but to endure.
Conclusion: Earth Is a Terrible Place!
As Bai Ye released her, Kaguya darted away, diving into a nearby haystack, shaking with indignation.
She had only one thought.
Earth is far too dangerous!
