Chapter 60 - 60

Draco Malfoy came to Dentis Castle with his parents.

The entire island was protected by Anti-Apparition Charms, so the father and son arrived by yacht from a neighboring island.

The yacht was a high-end, custom-made, all-wood vessel. Although it used Muggle technology, the father and son didn't pay too much attention to it—after all, there were plenty of magical means of transportation in the wizarding world.

Before even setting foot on the island, Draco Malfoy was already shocked. He left his seat and ran to the outside of the cabin, his mouth agape as he looked at the wonders of the island—

More than a dozen Hebridean Black dragons squatted on both sides of the pier, each like a welcoming soldier.

They were just too massive and clearly visible from a distance.

"Dad, how did Mr. Dentis do it? Our family's Common Welsh Green is already a very docile dragon species, and we can't even tame them to be so obedient, let alone the Hebridean Black, which is known for being irritable!"

Lucius Malfoy shook his head.

"I don't know, son. That day, I also saw the Count riding a huge black dragon descending from the sky. I've never seen anyone else who can completely control dragons."

"Wow… dragon riding!"

Draco Malfoy's eyes sparkled. Flying on the back of a dragon was something he could only dream of!

Lucius touched his son's head and said to his wife behind him:

"Narcissa, Count Dentis is not married, so you will have to help him receive the female guests later."

Narcissa Malfoy frowned.

"Our family doesn't have any relatives or connections with him. For me to represent him… wouldn't that be inappropriate?"

"What's inappropriate about it?" Lucius said.

"You don't know how many families want to curry favor with Count Dentis right now. For you to represent him in entertaining the female guests—that's something many people would beg for!

Besides, he's single now. If you can help him find a girl he likes today, then our Malfoy family's relationship with him will be closer than any other family!"

Narcissa looked at the black dragons raising their heads and puffing out their chests on both sides of the pier, then at the magnificent, jewel-encrusted carriages by the roadside, and nodded:

"All right."

The carriages arranged by Dentis Castle were the most luxurious kind of magical transport—pure white winged horses, very much in line with people's imagination of French wizarding nobility.

And the material of the carriage was something even Lucius Malfoy didn't recognize. It was light and smooth, with a texture very close to amber—though of course, there wouldn't be such a large piece of amber in the world, so this material was most likely man-made.

In fact, the pier wasn't far from the castle. Having carriages specially pick them up undeniably hinted at flaunting wealth.

However, whether it was the black dragons standing guard or the extremely noble carriages, they had already deeply impressed the invitees. No one thought of it as mere show; rather, it felt like Count Dentis was simply born to live such a life.

After entering the castle, guided by the servants, the Malfoy family made their way through the corridor to the hall.

Lucius Malfoy had been here once before, so he was mentally prepared for the Count's collection, but seeing these priceless treasures again still gave him a sense of unreality—

If the elder Malfoy felt like this, then the younger and the female Malfoys were even more overwhelmed.

Mother and son were deeply entranced by those collections, which seemed to scream "expensive" without needing labels. They turned their heads with every step, managing only with effort to reach the main hall.

"What is that? What is that?"

Narcissa looked at the Sword in the Stone hanging high up and rubbed her eyes hard.

"It's the Sword in the Stone—worth three million Galleons," Lucius explained.

"When I saw it, I was just like you—unable to believe my eyes."

"The Sword in the Stone! Is that the Sword in the Stone?"

Draco Malfoy stepped forward quickly, staring at the broken yet magically glowing sword in amazement.

This Count Dentis is too rich!

"Let me see who arrived first—"

The Count's voice came from the second floor, and then Count Darke Dentis, wearing a gorgeous robe, slowly walked down.

"Oh, it's my dearest friend! Lucius, we finally meet again."

Lucius Malfoy took a few steps forward and shook hands with Dentis.

He turned to look at Narcissa and Draco.

"This is Count Dentis. Draco, say hello."

"Mr. Dentis!"

"Oh, what a spirited young man. Calling me 'Mr.' is too formal, Draco. Is it Draco? Your father and I are like brothers—you can call me Uncle."

Lucius looked thrilled. It was the excitement of getting close to a powerful figure.

Draco was equally excited—it was the thrill of forming a relationship with a rich man.

"Yes! Uncle Dentis!"

"Mm, such a good boy."

"Mrs. Malfoy…"

"Oh, Count, you can call me Narcissa."

"All right, Narcissa. Lucius said earlier that you could help me receive the female guests attending today…"

"Of course, it's my honor."

"This will be a great help to me. Thank you for your trouble!"

Soon, powerful figures of the British wizarding world began arriving at the castle one after another.

These richest and most influential people looked like wide-eyed tourists as they stepped into Dentis Castle. They had never imagined someone could be so wealthy.

At this moment, the phrase "rich enough to rival a country" had truly come to life. Any single item in the castle could likely equal a small family's entire fortune!

Lucius Malfoy's connections were indeed extensive. More than two-thirds of the Sacred Twenty-Eight families arrived, along with every Ministry official at or above director level.

Some smaller pure-blood families were also invited, as Mr. Battle Manpower wanted to show off his network in front of Dentis.

The Avery family also came, of course. Oliver Avery brought Donna Avery. Dana stared at them for a moment, barely suppressing his killing intent, when the servant at the door suddenly announced:

"The Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, has arrived!"

Everyone immediately turned to look.

—Although everyone knew that Fudge was rather incompetent, it was undeniable that he was still the man sitting at the top of the British wizarding world.

What they were looking at wasn't Fudge—it was the title of "Minister."

Dana immediately stepped forward to greet him:

"Minister, your presence is a great honor to my humble home!"

Fudge laughed.

"I had to come! Count, you're now the richest man in Britain, and our Ministry of Magic can't function without your support!"

Dana gestured toward the hall.

"Please, come in!"

Fudge quickly waved his hand.

"Count must be very busy today, don't trouble yourself with me. We'll talk later when you're free—we have plenty of time today, don't we?"

Subtext: We should talk about donations.

"Of course, Minister. I also have many suggestions for improving the British wizarding world I'd like to share with you."

Subtext: I won't donate for nothing—you'll have to meet some of my conditions.

"Then we'll talk later. Go ahead and be busy."

"Minister, if you need anything, please let the servants know. Please make yourself at home."

"Of course, I will."

Dana watched Fudge walk into the hall, his eyes narrowing with thought.

Then suddenly, he turned toward the entrance again.

Because the servant announced loudly:

"Internationally renowned personality and author, Order of Merlin, Third Class, Honorary Member of the Anti-Dark Arts League, five-time winner of Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award—Mr. Gilderoy Lockhart has arrived!"

If you were to ask how a servant, managed to remember such a long string of titles—

—That's because Mr. Lockhart specifically asked him to read it aloud.

At this very moment, the small slip of paper, crammed with titles, was still clenched in the servant's hand!
