Behind him, Xiao Xun'er and Xiao Yan burst into laughter, their triumphant joy ringing out. Lu Bu closed the door with a face full of black lines and began cultivating.

Threads of devouring power extended like black strands, extracting and refining the vine's energy.
As dawn broke and the sun peeked over the horizon, the night quietly slipped away.
Lu Bu slowly opened his eyes, his hands full of gray powder the remnants of the Aoki Xian Vine. Energy surged through his meridians, and an overwhelming aura spread out.
"Two star Dou Spirit… not bad!" Lu Bu said with a satisfied smirk as he stretched.
Before achieving the Minor Nirvana Golden Body, he had fast methods of advancing but couldn't use them recklessly. There was always the fear of overloading his body and causing it to explode.
Now, those concerns were gone. Between the Minor Nirvana Golden Body and the Azure Sky Dragon Technique, he could freely absorb energy. His cultivation speed had skyrocketed, capable of advancing multiple stars in a single month. If he weren't worried about unstable Dou Qi, he could even leap an entire level in that time.

"Lu Bu, are you awake?"
From outside came Hu Jia's voice.
Creak. Lu Bu opened the door with a puzzled expression. "What's up?"

"I see…" Lu Bu's eyes flickered thoughtfully as they reached the room downstairs.
"Alright, everyone's here!" a young mentor said cheerfully as Lu Bu entered.
"Greetings, Mentor. Senior Sister," Lu Bu said with a smile.
"Hehe, let's get to the point," the mentor said with a grin. He had been a student himself and had a straightforward style, disliking unnecessary formalities.
"An Outer Academy student team was ambushed by a small Black Corner Region faction called the Kui Wolf Gang. The faction isn't weak, led by a Dou Spirit. The elders have assigned this mission to your Holy Gate."
The mentor handed Lu Bu a scroll as he spoke.
The Kui Wolf Gang… not just a small faction with a Dou Spirit, Lu Bu thought as he opened the scroll. Curiously, he asked, "Understood. But why did the elders assign this to the Holy Gate?"
"I happened to be there that day and instinctively recommended you," Qi Jing said, smiling apologetically. "Junior Brother, don't blame me. I couldn't help but think of your commanding presence on the top floor of the Fortune Pavilion."
"Ahaha, no worries!" Lu Bu laughed, waving off her concern. "I just advanced recently and was looking for a fight. I should be thanking you, Senior Sister!"

"This time, Senior Sister will come along to help!"
"Alright. Thank you, Senior Sister." Lu Bu turned to Xiao Yan and Xiao Xun'er. "You're coming too."
"Why us?" Xiao Xun'er protested.
"Because I'm the leader!" Lu Bu declared. "And those are the rules of the Inner Academy!"
If I'm suffering, you two don't get to have it easy either!
"Tch!" Xiao Yan clicked his tongue in annoyance, but he couldn't argue. At least it was a chance to search the Black Corner Region for rare medicinal ingredients.
"Hahaha…" Qi Jing chuckled softly. These juniors are really interesting.
