Chapter 146: Hurry, or we'll only have snake soup left to eat!
"Y you… sir… I am… from the Black Emperor Sect…"
Feng Lao'er stammered uncontrollably, his tongue trembling with fear. He couldn't form a coherent sentence. The terrifying soul pressure he was experiencing was no weaker than the aura of that purple robed woman from earlier.
This was bad very bad!
"Black Emperor Sect?" Lu Bu's fingers twirled with cyan flames as his brow arched slightly at the mention. "One of Mo Xie's men?"
"W what?!"
Feng Lao'er felt a cold chill rush up to his skull. He wasn't stupid; just from that one sentence, he instantly deduced that the people before him were the ones who had killed Mo Xie, the young master of the Black Emperor Sect!
"Damn it, damn it… I should have realized the moment that puppet appeared!" Feng Lao'er cursed himself internally, filled with regret. He had assumed that capturing this little girl would be an easy task.
But never in his wildest dreams did he expect that the little girl was backed by such a terrifying figure!
Thinking back carefully, Mo Xie's first defeat was also at the hands of a young man, a little girl, and a puppet wielding those horrifying cyan flames.
Feng Lao'er's thoughts raced. His previously arrogant and sinister face had turned ashen. The Black Emperor Sect had already lost three Dou Huangs and their affiliate leader Kuisha to these people.
Among the four who had fallen, several had been stronger than him. Today, it seemed his chances of survival were slim.
"So it's the Black Emperor Sect. What a small world," Lu Bu said with a faint chuckle. With a flick of his fingers, a silver and black puppet adorned with glowing runes appeared before him.
"Li Elder?"
The moment the silver black puppet appeared, Feng Lao'er couldn't help but exclaim. He recognized the face. It belonged to Elder Li, one of Mo Xie's personal guards, a formidable fighter. Even Feng Lao'er couldn't match him. Yet now, Elder Li had been turned into a puppet?
"Kill him," Lu Bu said calmly, brushing the dust off his sleeves.
At his command, the silver black puppet flickered. Silver light surrounded its body, and it appeared beside Feng Lao'er in an instant, almost like teleportation.
Zi Yan watched this with her big dark eyes sparkling mischievously. She giggled, then wiggled her small backside and began climbing off Lu Bu's body.
"Such speed!" Feng Lao'er's pupils shrank in horror. As a wind element Dou Huang, speed was supposed to be his forte. Yet against this silver black puppet, he had no advantage whatsoever!
Boom!
A dull explosion rang out, and a dazzling beam of light shot skyward. The puppet's unstoppable punch landed squarely on Feng Lao'er.
"Ugh!"
Feng Lao'er coughed up a mouthful of blood, his face pale as paper. He had been gravely injured.
But he didn't linger. Using the momentum of the blow, he propelled himself in the direction of his elder brother and the sect master.
"Dammit…" Blood trickled from Feng Lao'er's nose as he glared back in hatred. He knew he had no chance against this young man. Two Dou Huang puppets, plus this unfathomable youth such overwhelming power was beyond what he could handle.
He had to return and warn the sect master and his brother.
"Well, well…" Lu Bu chuckled softly, watching Feng Lao'er flee without much concern.
"You old bastard, you dare hit me and think you can just run away?"
A crisp, childish voice rang out. Zi Yan suddenly appeared before Feng Lao'er, her small fists clenched as purple light enveloped her hands. She roared, "Die!"
Her tiny fist struck out. The purple energy transformed into a massive fist imprint that expanded in midair, barreling toward Feng Lao'er.
The fist was incomparably fast, its force tyrannical and overwhelming. An oppressive might radiated from it, making Feng Lao'er's legs tremble uncontrollably.
His face twisted in terror under the pressure of the punch. His rational mind told him to dodge, but under this draconic aura, he found himself paralyzed. He could only cross his arms in front of him to brace for impact.
Bang!
Boom!
The fist imprint slammed into Feng Lao'er's arms. With a sickening crack, his already injured arms shattered, and his body was sent flying, pale as death.
"Hmph, that's what you get for daring to hit me!" Zi Yan said smugly, clenching her small fists. She was quite pleased with the results of her punch.
With a dull thud, the silver black puppet's sharp blade pierced through Feng Lao'er's chest. Bright red blood trickled from his lips as the light in his eyes dimmed.
The puppet casually tossed the lifeless body aside.
"Ah! I forgot to grab his spatial ring!" Zi Yan exclaimed, stomping her foot in frustration. Ever since she got Mo Xie's ring, she had developed the habit of looting spatial rings from her defeated foes.
Lu Bu grabbed the back of her collar, lifting her effortlessly.
Zi Yan stiffened, her little face scrunching up into an embarrassed smile. She knew she had been disobedient, dragging Medusa to this area and attracting such trouble.
"Forget about the ring," Lu Bu said, flicking her forehead lightly. "Now take me to find Medusa. If we're too late, all we'll have left is snake soup!"
"Alright! Let's go!" Zi Yan shouted, perking up instantly. She was relieved Lu Bu wasn't scolding her.
"Lu Bu, this way!" Zi Yan pointed in a direction. "Medusa sis is over there!"
Lu Bu recalled the puppets, scooped Zi Yan into his arms, and unfurled his purple wings. With a flash of silver light, he activated Three Thousand Lightning Movement and shot forward like a streak of light.
…
Clang!
A silver claw like hand clamped down on Medusa's sword. The blade glinted coldly as metallic screeches rang out, but it failed to leave even a scratch.
Medusa's cold, beautiful face remained composed. Her wrist flicked, and with a crisp clang, the sword broke free from the claw's grip.
Mo Tianxing retreated a step, his brows furrowing deeply. How could this woman's strength be so great? She had forcibly broken free of his grasp.
Medusa's red lips pressed tightly together. Her expression turned serious. As expected of a Four Star Dou Zong, her sword techniques had been pushed to their limits, yet she still couldn't wound him.
"I'll ask you one last time," Mo Tianxing said, taking a deep breath. His patience was nearly gone. "Submit to me and return to the Black Emperor Sect as my wife!"
Medusa's face remained icy, ignoring his words as though they were mere background noise.
Her sword emitted a sharp aura, the radiant energy coiling around her like a venomous snake ready to strike.
"Since you refuse the toast, you'll drink the forfeit!" Mo Tianxing said coldly, his face contorting with malice. "Don't blame me for not being gentle!"
Before his words fully landed, Mo Tianxing's hand lit up with silver energy, and he disappeared in a flash.
Invisible blades slashed out from the void, silent and deadly, their momentum like dragons surging from the abyss.
Medusa let out a shout, stepping forward as her slender arm trembled. Her sword lit up with a brilliant array of colors, the blade flashing like lightning as it stabbed forward.
The dazzling burst of light erupted with a sharp crackle, shooting forward in an instant.
Boom!
Mo Tianxing's concealed form stumbled out of the void, his face twisted with rage.
"Seven Colored Heaven Swallowing Python!"
"You're actually a Seven Colored Heaven Swallowing Python?!"
Medusa raised a delicate brow. So, she had been exposed. But… why did his tone sound like he held a grudge?
Could it be that Lu Bu had done something to the python while she was dormant?
"If you're truly a Seven Colored Heaven Swallowing Python… then there's even less reason to let you go!" Mo Tianxing hissed through gritted teeth, his tone as cold as death itself.
Medusa tensed. Something was wrong. It seemed he was ready to go all out.
Whoosh!
A silver streak of lightning cut through the sky, followed by a towering wave of energy. The valley erupted into chaos as powerful shockwaves surged outward.
Medusa's expression darkened Mo Tianxing was going for broke!
