Chapter 61 - Chapter 14*

Half of Rick's group had moved out of the farmhouse for the night. There simply weren't enough rooms inside for everyone, and no one had the heart to argue. They'd seen a boy nearly die today, so comfort became secondary.

Rick and Lori had taken to Carl's room, sleeping in the corner on old blankets laid across the floor. Their heads pressed together, arms wrapped around each other, clinging to the warmth of their son's survival.

Shane and Daryl dozed on the porch in heavy chairs, rifles across their laps, boots still laced. The wind tousled their hair every now and then, but neither stirred.

I stood by the wooden fence at the edge of the farm, watching the crops ripple under the moonlight.

The world had gone quiet—only the faint chirp of crickets and the occasional gust of wind brushing through the corn stalks remained.

That was when I heard footsteps—soft, hesitant.

I turned slightly, not drawing my weapon, just listening.

"Glenn," I muttered as he stepped into view.

He gave a sheepish laugh. "H-hi. You still remember me."

"It hasn't been that long," I said, returning my eyes to the field.

He walked beside me, elbows coming up to rest against the same fence, mimicking my stance. For a while, he didn't say anything. Then, after a heavy breath, he began, "I…I wanted to apologize."

"For what?"

"For leaving that night, without waiting for you to return, and abandoning that little girl. I-I panicked when I heard the radio. I had to get to Atlanta; I needed to find my friends," he said, his voice low, trembling with regret and shame.

"There's nothing to be ashamed of," I said plainly. "You did what you thought was right, nothing wrong in following your own set of rules and obligations,"

He exhaled, a long breath that seemed to untie something knotted inside his chest. "Thanks."

A few seconds passed in silence. Less awkward than I thought they'd be.

"So," I said, "Did you find them?"

He didn't answer immediately. His head lowered. "No. By the time I got there… Atlanta was sitting in ashes. Nothing left but skeletons, glass, and—" his voice cracked slightly. "—the smell of burned flesh. It never left the city."

I glanced at him. His hands gripped the edge of the fence now, knuckles pale. "I'm sorry."

Glenn shrugged faintly, "I don't even know if they even got out of the city, maybe they did… I hope they did."

Another dozen seconds passed. Then he asked, "How did you survive that drug store?"

I didn't look at him. "I locked myself in with Lilly. Used the shelf to make a few spears. And killed them, took me two days to get out."

His head jerked toward me. "You saved her?" he asked, surprise genuine in his voice. "I thought—"

"She didn't deserve to die," I lied flatly. At that moment, I didn't care if she lived or not, I just wanted her there as insurance, if something went wrong with my 'XP farm', I would've used her to escape… but now…

"Her father didn't make it," I added

Glenn looked down, "Damn. I remember him. Guy was kind of a dick, but… that must've been rough on her."

I turned around, resting my back against the fence, watching the RV and truck across the yard. Andrea was curled up against Amy in the passenger seat, her arm around the girl's shoulder. Even in sleep, she was holding her tight.

"Where did you meet that group? Atlanta?" I asked, gesturing toward the caravan.

Glenn followed my gaze, turning back to the vehicles.

"My car had broken down, so I took to walking. I was planning on returning to Macon when I came across Shane and Daryl." Glenn turned toward the porch of the farmhouse. "They were out hunting and led me to the group, of course, after a long interrogation with a crossbow to my head," he chuckled the last part.

I nodded silently, and we stayed like that for a few minutes before Glenn yawned, stretching his hands over his head, "It's pretty late, I'm gonna go to sleep now."

He left without waiting, heading toward the RV.

I watched him shut the door before turning back to the corns.

Carol, Sophia, Andrea, Amy, Lori, Carl

 Vs

Shane, Rick, Glenn, Daryl, Dale,

Six mouths that drain. Five pairs of hands that 'might' produce. Where Dale is just as useless as Amy or Carol, but he can at least use a gun.

I'll need a lot of food to keep all of them alive and moving. Maybe Shane, Daryl, and Glenn can help, but Rick… he can't even move right now…

All in all, this group, instead of being an asset, feels more like a liability.

Tch!

What a waste of time and resources…

It hadn't even been ten minutes before I heard another pair of footsteps approaching. Unlike the cautious ones before, these were light and confident with a familiar rhythm in them.

I didn't need to turn to know who it was.

A moment later, two familiar arms slid around my waist from behind, wrapping me in a quiet embrace. The warmth of her body pressed gently against my back.

"Why are you always standing out alone?" she asked, her voice low. "Don't you ever feel lonely?"

I didn't answer. My gaze stayed locked on the black horizon as my mind drifted to the first sunset I saw in this world—right here, on this same patch of dirt. Maggie had stood beside me then, too, asking something eerily similar.

"I do," I said after a pause.

The arms around me loosened at once, uncertain. Maggie moved to stand in front of me, her brows knitting together as she looked up.

"Are you alright?" she asked, softly this time. Her fingers reached up, brushing the side of my face as if trying to feel something her eyes couldn't see. "Did something happen?"

I shook my head and let out a dry chuckle. "Nothing happened. I was just joking."

Before she could probe further into my slip-up, I stepped forward and tilted her chin up. My lips caught hers mid-breath. She froze—only for a second, before melting into it, her lips parting under mine.

She tasted sweet.

Her hands slid up my chest, fingertips curling into the fabric of my shirt as her tongue brushed mine. I responded in kind, slow and deep, until the kiss broke naturally, a thread of saliva stretching then snapping between us.

She looked dazed, her eyes half-lidded, cheeks tinged with pink, lips still parted. Her chest rose with shallow breaths, her body drawn closer, wanting more.

"That's all for today," I murmured, leaning close to whisper in her ear.

The spell broke instantly.

Her eyes widened slightly, her lips pressing together in protest. She let out a soft, frustrated sound, then balled her fist and gave my chest a small, half-hearted punch.

"No fair," she muttered, pouting before leaning her head on my chest.

"And here I thought we would spend the night together," she muttered under her breath.

"Doing what?" I asked, teasing her.

She looked up at me, a sly smile on her face, her hand trailing down to Jr. Wesker. "Do you want me to show you?" she asked, squeezing firmly.

I shrugged my shoulders.

She giggled before kneeling down in front of me, her hands working on my belt, unbuckling it with eager fingers.

"A little impatient tonight, aren't you?" I chuckled.

She glanced up at me through her lashes, that sly smile still playing on her lips. "You started this," she whispered, her voice husky with desire. "Now let me finish it."

The cool night air hit my skin, but her warm breath was already there to chase it away. She looked up at me one more time before her lips parted and she took me into her mouth.

Mmmm~

Fuck. The sensation was immediate and overwhelming, even though it hadn't been a day since I fucked Carley and Lilly. It wasn't a threesome, if that's what you're thinking.

Her tongue swirled around the head of my cock, teasing and exploring while her hands gripped my thighs for support.

She was tentative at first, shy even in her own eagerness, but as a groan escaped my lips, she grew bolder.

"That's it," I murmured, my hand finding its way into her neck-length hair, fingers tangling in the soft strands. She responded by taking me deeper, her throat working to accommodate my length.

Slurp!

Mhhmm~

The wet heat of her mouth was incredible in the cold breeze of the night.

She bobbed her head slowly, creating a rhythm that had my hips unconsciously moving to match her pace. Saliva gathered at the corners of her lips, making everything slick and wet.

Her technique was eager but inexperienced; she had only ever fucked two times, and this was already too good for a second blowjob.

I guided her head with my hand, pulling her closer, going down her tight throat that constricted around me at every push.

Cough!

She choked.

I quickly removed my hand from her head, but instead of moving away, she pulled back to focus on the head, flicking her tongue against the tip like a cat drinking milk, before sliding her lips down the shaft again. Jesus, Maggie

The sight of her like this, on her knees in the dirt, lips stretched around my cock, only made me lose my mind

Slurp! Mhmmm~

The pressure was building. She must've felt it because her pace quickened, her mouth working frantically as she sucked and licked, like she was hungry.

"I'm gonna come," I warned her, my voice hoarse.

She didn't pull away. Instead, she looked up at me with those trusting green eyes and took me even deeper, her throat muscle working around me as I finally let go.

The orgasm hit like lightning, my body tensed as I emptied myself down her throat. She swallowed everything I gave her, her eyes watering slightly at the pleasure and pain.

Gulp! Gulp!

Slurp!

When it was over, she pulled off with a wet pop, slowly licking her lips clean before looking up at me with a smile on her face, sinful and innocent at the same time.

"Did you get the idea?" she asked, teasing, her voice still coarse from the rough blowjob

I exhaled, as I smirked, my dick throbbed as I pulled her up to her feet, I leaned in, "Not yet," whispering into her ear.
