I was surrounded by darkness, I try to move by nothing is responding. I try to say something, but nothing comes out.
My name is Toda Koharu, 27 Years old. Im your average manga and anime enjoyer, watched alot of anime and ya know the drill. My favorite anime you ask? Fate of course, though Date a Live comes in a close second.
The last thing I remember was working a good paying job, You know the drill by now and if this is some kind of fanfic that is being written. I'm sure a flashback is comming in 3....2....1....
Flashback
I slowly wake up in my little humble abode. Looking at my ceiling I turn ny head to see the room I'm in.
The walls have some Fate and Date a Live posters, the glass cabinet to my left has figurines of Artoria Pendragon and Kurumi Tokisaki. I look to my right and I see my Gaming PC where I watch and play anime related games.
The sunshine was peering through the window just beside my computer, that I realized it's now 7:00 In the morning.
"Another day In the life of the living" I said getting up from my bed and fixing it.
I then picked up my Kurumi dakimakura and layed it on the bed for later tonight. I wanted to by a Saber one as well, but I have to wait till it comes back on stock.
"Time to go get breakfast..." I said again going down to the kitchen to find nobody.
I didn't live alone. My older sister lives with me, but I dont get to see her much since she always wakes up earlier than I do.
I grab myself some instant noodles and tossed em to heat, after that I went back up to my room and fire up my computer.
"Oooh Date a Live season 4 is out!! Finally!!" I exclaimed, exited that a new season is out.
I rushed back downstairs to grab my food and sprinted back upstairs. My shift Isin't until 9 so I have plenty of time to watch anime.
That was good first episode, I really liked the new animation style. Whats that? You want me to tell you what happened? Yeah... No. I don't like to spoil other people's fun so go watch it yourself.
Anyway, After finishing the anime and my noodles, I get inside the bathroom to go take a shower. The water was a bit cold since it was still a bit early in the morning buh eh. Personally I like cold showers.
After I finished cleaning myself -Yes I sung I swear from SweetARMS in the shower don't judge me- I come out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around me.
I go up and see the clock, and It says its about 8:00, Still got time. So I just picked up my phone to start playing Fate/Grand Order.
After fiddling with dailies and such, I didn't manage to get Kama. But that's gacha games for ya, you win some you loose some. After all of that its now 8:45, time to go to work.
I arrived at work at exactly 9:00 the trip was easy since I live close to the place I work.
I work at a company specializing telecommunications. I'm a Callcenter agent for them managing the contractions of costomers and company. My mind still wanted to grind for Kama, but with only few days left and I did not have alot of SQ, I'm starting to think I'm not going to make it.
"No! I'm not giving up! Not until i get Kama!" I yelled to myself which earned some stares in the entrance of the building im working.
With new found determination, I cruised through the working day. I even spent working overtime to grind out alot more money so I can buy Saint Quartz to get Kama.
"Toda, are you okay? You seem..." One of my friends inside the officed came by to check on me.
"What do you mean!? I'm perfectly fine!!" I exclaimed drining another can of monster.
"A-are you sure? It's like 8 in the evening, your shift ended 2 hours ago" He retorted worrying that I will overwork myself.
"Don't worry... I'll do anything to get Kama!! Even if I die of exhaustion!!" I said again whlist typing at an incredible fast rate.
"O-okay... My shift ended a few minutes ago. Just came by to check on you"
"Thanks, are we still set for Saturday?"
"Yep, can't wait to get myself a new daki from that anime expo" He said while daydraming about buying his 5th daki.
"Alright, I'll leave you to it, dont go overworking yourself now alright?" He said while waving goodbye.
"Don't worry, I wont" I replied whilst typing.
A few hours had gone by and is now 10PM. I feel so tired but I am still determined to finish this.
"I think I need a little break" I said to myself wondering to the coffee machine and pressing a button. Once the coffee was despensed, I return to my desk and place the coffee ontop of it.
I put my back against my seat in exhaustion. I look at the time and thought about was it worth it.
"Was it worth staying here working from 9AM to 10PM just for a 2D character in a video game? Hell yes!!" I said to myself.
"Maybe a little nap will snap me out of thise tiredness" I murmured and lay my head between my arms ontop of my desk.
Flashback end
And thats what happend, I went to sleep and woke up staring at the abyss infront of me.
Suddenly i feel that i was laying on a flat surface, I try to open my eyes and it worked. What greeted me was the blue sky with little to no clouds..... And i noticed I was in a middle of a huge crater.
I immediately stood up and felt my srroundings, there was cool breeze that calmed me down, but I felt different.
Looking down on my body, I noticed i was wearing silver armor with blue patterns ontop of a beautiful blue and white dress. Ontop of my head sat a golden crown with beautiful intricate gems. I also noticed I was wearing a blue coat with fur white trimmings.
"What the..."
My eyes widened to the sound of my voice, It sounded very familiar, Like I heard it from somwhere before.
Looking back down I noticed that there was a bit of a buldge in my chest area. I immediately know what happened and touched down to check.
And to my dismay, my lil buddy isn't there....
"N-no.... Rest in peace old friend...." I said myself disappointed, I look around to see a collapsed building and in in glass i could see....
"S-Saber!?" I shouted pointing at the glass, the image on the glass pointed back which only means one thing....
"I've become Artoria Pendragon!?"
