Chapter 12 - Alley Heat and Angry Shadows (18+)

The 9:30 sun was already heating the asphalt when Sung-Min rounded the corner toward Café Luna. The air smelled of freshly baked bread and motorcycle exhaust. His hands were stuffed in his hoodie pockets, but his fingers drummed nervously against the lining.

Through the glass he saw Soo-Jin behind the counter. Her movements were sharper than usual. The smile she gave customers didn't reach her eyes.

And at the table by the window: Min-Soo. Legs spread wide, elbow on the table, chin resting on his fist, staring fixedly at his girlfriend as if he could force her to look at him through sheer rage.

Sung-Min pushed the door open. The chime rang louder than he remembered.

Soo-Jin's eyes snapped up instantly. Their gazes locked for a fraction of a second. She tilted her head slightly toward the back door.

Message received.

He ordered his usual iced Americano, paid with a bill, and sat at the table farthest from Min-Soo—with his back to him. He didn't need to see the other man's face to know he was boring holes into him with his stare.

At 9:58 Soo-Jin untied her apron with a sharp tug, muttered something to Eun-Bi, and disappeared down the staff hallway.

Min-Soo shot up like he'd been launched from a spring.

Sung-Min was already moving. He slipped out the side door before the other guy could take three steps.

The alley smelled of old ground coffee and damp pipes.

Ten seconds later the door burst open and Soo-Jin came out almost at a run—hair messy, cheeks flushed.

"He's right behind me," she whispered, grabbing his arm. "He says he's going to 'catch me red-handed.' He's lost it."

Sung-Min took her by the wrist and pulled her deeper into the alley, where the shadows thickened and the dumpsters blocked the view from the main street.

"Then let's make it worth it," he said quietly, almost amused.

She stared at him for a heartbeat, incredulous. Then she let out a short, nervous laugh and shoved him against the brick wall.

Their mouths crashed together without preamble. No gentle caresses, no sweet words. Just hunger.

Teeth grazed, tongues met urgently. Soo-Jin moaned into his mouth when his hands slid under her shirt and found hot skin.

"Quick," she gasped, already yanking his hoodie upward.

Sung-Min shoved her shirt up to her neck. The black bra stood out against her pale skin. He pushed it up without unclasping it. Her nipples were already hard from the cool air and adrenaline.

He lowered his head and took one into his mouth, sucking hard while his free hand dropped to the button of her jeans.

Soo-Jin let out a choked sound—half moan, half laugh.

"Fuck… if we get caught…"

"We won't," he murmured against her chest, ripping the zipper down.

Jeans and panties slid down together to mid-thigh. She braced her palms against the wall, arching her back.

Sung-Min dropped to his knees without hesitation. The first long lick made her whole body shudder.

"Ah… shit…"

He didn't bother with gentleness. He licked, sucked, pressed the tip of his tongue exactly where he knew she unraveled. Soo-Jin bit her lower lip so hard it left a white mark. Her hips moved on their own, chasing more.

When she tensed and her fingers dug into his hair, Sung-Min knew she was close. He sped up, relentless, until she shattered with a cry she tried to muffle against her own arm. The sound bounced off the alley walls.

Sung-Min stood, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.

Soo-Jin looked at him with glassy eyes, breathing ragged.

"Your turn," she said. Before he could answer her hand was already inside his pants.

She pulled him out with a decisive motion. Hard, hot, throbbing. She stroked him twice—firm—and Sung-Min had to brace one hand against the wall to stay upright.

"Turn around," he ordered.

She obeyed instantly. Palms flat on the brick, ass pushed out, jeans still tangled around her ankles.

Sung-Min lined up and thrust in with one smooth stroke. They both gasped at the same time.

It was fast, rough, almost brutal. Each thrust slammed her body against the wall. Soo-Jin tried to hold back her moans, but they escaped anyway—short, high, desperate.

"More… fuck… harder…"

He obeyed. He gripped her hips so tightly he'd leave marks. The wet slap of skin on skin filled the alley—obscene and perfect.

When she tensed again, when her walls clenched around him like a fist, Sung-Min lost control. One final deep thrust and he spilled inside her with a low growl that rumbled from his chest.

They stayed like that for several seconds. Heavy breathing. Sweat sticking clothes to skin. The real world creeping back in slowly.

Soo-Jin turned, still trembling, and kissed him with a slowness that contrasted sharply with what they'd just done.

"You're dangerous," she whispered against his lips.

"So are you," he replied, still buried inside her.

They separated carefully. She pulled her pants up with shaky hands. He fixed his clothes, heart still pounding in his ears.

"Go back before Eun-Bi gets suspicious," Sung-Min said.

She nodded. Right before stepping inside she gave him one last quick, almost tender kiss.

"Thanks for the rescue, hero."

The door closed behind her.

Sung-Min leaned against the wall for a moment, catching his breath.

Then he heard footsteps. Heavy. Furious.

Min-Soo appeared at the mouth of the alley. Face red. Eyes bloodshot. Fists clenched.

"Son of a bitch," he spat. "I heard you. I heard her."

Sung-Min straightened slowly.

The system flickered in his peripheral vision.

Min-Soo took two steps forward.

"You think I'm stupid? You think I don't know what you were doing with my girlfriend?"

Sung-Min raised both hands, palms out. Voice calm. Too calm.

"I don't know what you're talking about, bro. I came out for some air. She was on break too. Coincidence."

"Bullshit," Min-Soo almost shouted. "I heard her say your name. Screaming it."

Heavy silence.

Sung-Min tilted his head slightly.

"And what are you going to do about it?"

Min-Soo blinked. The question threw him off for a second.

"I'm gonna… I'm gonna—"

"You gonna hit me?" Sung-Min took one slow step forward. "Right in front of the security camera in that corner?"

Min-Soo's eyes flicked upward. The camera was small, discreet—but there. Red light blinking.

"Or you can go inside, sit down with her, and ask her straight," Sung-Min continued, voice soft but razor-sharp. "But fair warning: if you make her cry in front of customers, the owner will kick you out on your ass. And then the police come. Is that what you want?"

Min-Soo was breathing like a bull. His fists shook.

Five eternal seconds passed.

Finally he dropped his gaze.

"You haven't heard the last of me," he muttered.

And turned away.

Sung-Min waited until the footsteps faded before releasing the breath trapped in his chest.

[Confrontation resolved without violence. +4 Deception. Current stats: Deception 7. Alert: Min-Soo has not given up. Probability of future retaliation: 81%.]

He dragged a hand down his face.

"Shit…"

He checked the time. 10:24.

He still had to head to Jade Leaf.

He still had to see Ji-Yeon tonight.

And now he had absolute certainty that the house of cards he'd built was finally starting to wobble.

He pulled out his phone and fired off a quick text to Soo-Jin.

"You okay?"

The reply came almost instantly.

"Yeah. He stormed in furious but didn't say anything. Just stood there staring like an idiot and left. Thanks… again."

Sung-Min pocketed the phone. Took a deep breath.

And started walking toward Hongdae.

The day was only just beginning.
