Chapter 358 - Chapter 358: Nanook, the Aeon of Destruction, Descends

Let us shift our perspective to March 7th. At this moment, the girl wielding the Bow of the Hunt had fully charged her shot.

The Path energy, nearly solidified into a tangible form, swirled around the bow, gradually taking the shape of the divine arrow that the Reignbow Arbiter once used to fell the people of Abundance.

"In the name of the Hunt, this arrow—is the arrow of vengeance!"

The arrow left the bowstring, streaking toward Phantylia's fleeing form at a speed surpassing light, intent on slaying her outright.

"No, I cannot fall here! Lord Nanook!" Phantylia roared in desperation, watching helplessly as the divine arrow closed in. In her final moment, she called out the name of the god she revered.

Hum—!

A strange fluctuation rippled from all directions, felt by everyone present. In the next moment, an incomparably majestic figure emerged from the starry sky.

As the figure descended, time and space seemed to freeze. A haunting melody echoed in the hearts of those present, as if some great existence was about to descend upon the Xianzhou.

Crack—!

Before the arrow could reach Phantylia, a massive arm appeared out of nowhere, seizing the Bow of the Hunt's arrow and crushing it to dust with a slight squeeze.

"This can't be! The Aeon of Destruction… The Aeon of Destruction has personally descended…!" March 7th gasped, covering her mouth, her voice filled with disbelief and horror.

She had considered thousands of possible outcomes for this battle, but never once did she imagine that an Aeon would lower themselves to personally intervene on the Xianzhou Luofu.

It wasn't just March 7th—everyone present shared the same thought.

Seeing this, Blade scoffed with displeasure. He knew Elio's script was unreliable. First, the unexpected arrival of the Lord of Extinction, Zephyro, on the Xianzhou.

Now, even the Aeon of Destruction himself had taken the stage, rendering Elio's script utterly useless.

Yet, despite these thoughts, a closer look would reveal a glimmer of longing in Blade's eyes.

To walk the Path of Destruction meant pursuing destruction, and what Blade sought was self-destruction—the annihilation of his own existence.

The power of Abundance prevented him from truly dying, even though his heart had long since perished. If it were the Aeon of Destruction himself, surely he could grant Blade death, grant him release!

Shifting back to a second-person perspective, we see insignificant mortals facing off against a great Aeon. In their eyes, we see fear, resolve—but never retreat.

Nanook's mood was far from pleasant. Not long ago, he had sensed the fall of one of his Emanators.

And it was Zephyro, the one he favored most, the one he was most satisfied with.

As he directed his perception toward the site of Zephyro's fall, he discovered another of his Emanators continuing the mission of Destruction in the same location.

This slightly improved his mood.

But what followed was beyond Nanook's expectations—his other Emanator was losing, teetering on the edge of defeat.

This enraged Nanook, the Aeon of Destruction. The Lords of Extinction struck fear across the cosmos. If two were to fall on the same day, where would that leave Nanook's reputation?

Moreover, Emanators, though empowered directly by an Aeon, required specific conditions. Finding someone truly worthy was no easy task.

Thus, in his fury, Nanook chose to descend personally to save Phantylia from the clutches of the Hunt.

"My friends, I fear we are in grave danger this time. I, Jing Yuan, have failed you all," Jing Yuan said, shaking his head bitterly, his tone heavy with regret. Gazing at the Aeon of Destruction before him, he knew that an Emanator's power was insignificant in comparison.

Plans could never keep up with changes. They had intended to trap the Lord of Extinction here, but they hadn't anticipated the opponent's "parent" disregarding decorum and stepping in directly.

It was as if two children were fighting, and one's parent suddenly jumped in, swinging their burly arms, declaring their intent to settle the score.

"There's no need for that, Mr. Jing Yuan. The Nameless are called such because we hold fast to our chosen path and forge ahead without hesitation," one of the Nameless replied. "To die by the hand of an Aeon—our journey in this life would not have been in vain."

The Aeon of Destruction, Nanook, naturally paid no heed to the chatter of insignificant ants. Apart from Aha, who walks the Path of Elation, most Aeons lack pronounced emotional fluctuations.

Of course, our Mr. Yun Fan is an exception.

Perhaps tiring of looking down at the ants below, Nanook gave a slight wave of his arm toward the Xianzhou.

In an instant, a pure and overwhelming force of Destruction enveloped it. With a single thought from the Aeon, the Xianzhou Luofu, which had roamed the cosmos for eight thousand years, would cease to exist.

Just as Nanook was about to destroy the Xianzhou Luofu, a strange fluctuation suddenly emerged. The destructive force that had enveloped the Luofu, poised to consume it like a raging inferno, dissipated entirely.

In the next moment, another massive arm appeared from nowhere, delivering a heavy blow to Nanook's face.

Then, a voice, tinged with exasperation yet undeniably majestic, echoed in everyone's ears.

"Well, well, well, playing dirty, are we? A mighty Aeon personally intervening—do you really think no one can handle you?"

The strange energy fluctuation continued to spread, and soon, another great figure appeared beyond the Xianzhou Luofu.

"That's… the Lord of Samsara?!" Gazing at the somewhat familiar figure in the heavens, General Jing Yuan couldn't help but exclaim.

"The Lord of Samsara… He's finally here," Dan Heng said, breathing a sigh of relief. Yun Fan had indeed acted. Living on the Xianzhou himself, how could he stand by and watch it be destroyed?
