Already in a foul mood, Yan Bi Nuan snapped without even looking up, "Don't you have eyes?!"
The man merely stared at her in silence with his dark eyes.
Only when Yan Bi Nuan looked up into his gaze did she notice the man, sporting a black cap and matching mask. His stare made her feel inexplicably uncomfortable.
With a hoarse voice, he apologized, "I'm sorry."
Feeling increasingly uneasy, Yan Bi Nuan quickly responded, "Watch where you're going next time!" With that, she turned to leave.
But she had barely taken a step when he grabbed her arm.
Lowering his voice, the man asked, "You're looking to save someone, aren't you? What crime did your person commit?"
"Why would that matter to you?!"
Yan Bi Nuan, feeling slightly panicked, tried to shake his hand off.
Yet, he didn't let go, "As long as you have money, even if it's a murder case, there's a chance to get him out."
These words caused Yan Bi Nuan's movements to halt instantly.
