Chapter 8 - Chapter 7: Divided Heavens, the Power of Slur.

Boom!

The collision between the two was violent enough to bend the air around them. Slur was hurled backward like a projectile, cutting through the space between buildings until he crashed into the top of one of them. The impact made the concrete crack in a web-like pattern beneath his feet, fragments breaking loose and rolling over the edge. Even so, he remained standing.

Red and black lightning began to spread around his body, slithering through the air like unstable discharges. The energy seemed to pulse in sync with his breathing—controlled, steady. Beneath the mask, his eyes glowed an intense, sharp red, like blades observing everything around him with surgical precision.

On the other side, All Might was falling freely down the side of the building that had been destroyed in the previous impact. His hands tore through the structure as he tried to slow himself down, but there wasn't enough time. He crashed through the glass of several floors, the sound of shattering windows echoing like successive thunderclaps, before finally slamming into the ground.

The impact was devastating.

The asphalt gave way beneath his weight, cracking as debris from the building collapsed onto him in a cloud of dust and concrete. For a few moments, everything went silent.

Then—

The ground trembled.

All Might rose with a sudden motion, throwing his arms upward. A wave of force exploded from his body, pushing the debris away as if it weighed nothing. The air was swept by a powerful gust, hurling shards of glass, chunks of stone, and twisted metal in every direction, like the shrapnel of an invisible explosion.

From above, Slur watched.

He moved with absurd ease, dodging every fragment flying toward him, rotating his body at the exact moment, tilting his head by mere centimeters when necessary. No movement was wasted. No haste. Only efficiency.

As he evaded, a thought crossed his mind.

Does he really save people?

Slur's red eyes followed the scene below: civilians fleeing, sirens wailing in the distance, damaged buildings, chaos spreading like a chain reaction. And at the center of it all, All Might—the symbol.

Slur stepped one foot forward, the energy around him dimming slightly as his voice echoed from atop the building, clear despite the distance.

"All Might…" He paused briefly, almost thoughtfully. "Do you really believe that our current society is perfect just the way it is?"

All Might lifted his gaze, breathing heavily, his body covered in dust and minor injuries. Even so, his posture remained firm, imposing. The wind was still dissipating around him when he answered.

"No." The reply came straight, without hesitation. "But I know very well how powerful your words are."

All Might clenched his fists.

"And how chaotic they can be."

Behind the mask, Slur narrowed his eyes.

There was no anger in his expression. No surprise.

This clash wasn't just about strength.

"Then will you do the same thing you did to All For One?" Slur asked, his voice cold and almost disinterested, as he slowly adjusted his white-dyed hair with a lazy motion.

All Might, however, remained silent. What answered Slur was not a shout of rage or an immediate charge. There was no need. All Might knew that everything he had defended up until now was being mercilessly questioned. And Slur was not an ordinary villain. He wasn't just attacking the hero—he was dismantling the very idea of heroism that All Might represented.

Silence is your answer, Slur thought, watching the hero's lack of words. He knew All Might was a figure admired by many, a pillar that upheld society's morality. But to Slur, that meant nothing. To him, All Might was not just a hero.

He was a stone in the way.

Slur smiled. If All Might was unwilling to speak, then he would take action. To achieve his goal, he knew he had to break everything. Japan. The world. And inevitably, All Might.

With a sharp movement, Slur stepped onto the edge of the building, his heel pressing against the concrete like a trigger about to be pulled. The impact of his presence caused an invisible force to spread through the structure of the building. The building trembled almost tangibly, and with the sound of shattering glass, a pressure wave swept across the area. The remaining windows burst apart in an explosion of razor-sharp shards, as if the city itself were being torn apart.

Red energy burst forth from the sky above Slur, its glow intensifying as he adjusted his body for the next attack.

"I'll finish you myself."

Before the words had even finished leaving his mouth, a blast of energy exploded toward him. The air around All Might seemed to condense, and he knew the attack was coming.

Boom!

The impact was ferocious. Slur's strike hit All Might with such colossal force that it felt as though the very sky had trembled. The hero was hurled backward, the sheer power of the blow sending him into open space. He was already airborne when Slur followed, his overwhelming presence bearing down on him like a storm, the red glow illuminating everything around him.

Foosh!

The cutting, relentless wind formed by the collision of their energies swept through the surroundings, making the buildings in the background sway. The roar of the gale was deafening, as if the world itself were on the verge of collapse.

Yet All Might, even in the face of crushing force, reacted with lightning speed.

"Texas…" His voice echoed with the tension of preparing the strike, his muscles swelling with all of his energy as he readied the attack that embodied everything he believed to be the essence of his strength.

"Smash!" He shouted, his fists extending with brutal force.

Foosh!

The air around him compressed with superhuman strength. The pressure from the blow seemed to push reality itself, warping the space around them. Shockwaves shattered the walls nearby, and the wind became a sharp blade. The impact of his punches created a whirlwind of destruction, and the pressure generated was so intense it felt as though All Might was trying to tear the air and everything around him apart with his immense strength.

But Slur, with the calm of someone who already knew the outcome, raised his arms to block the strike—and did not yield. The clash between the two titans was so violent that the sound of the collision reverberated like an explosion. The impact shook the very foundation of the buildings, the asphalt cracking beneath them. The power of both All Might and Slur collided with such magnitude that even the wind around them seemed to suffer from the force of the impact.

Boom!

The sound was devastating, echoing throughout the city. The building around them began to crumble, its structure cracking and falling apart. Slur and All Might continued to face off, an uncontrollable force that split the world in half.

Slur, his mask still untouched, looked at All Might with eyes glowing with an intense red.

Slur slowly raised his fist, the movement deliberate, almost solemn. A red glow began to form around his hand, pulsing like an exposed heart. The energy intensified with each passing second, becoming denser, more unstable, until the red began to mix with warmer tones, evolving… into gold.

The pressure in the air became suffocating.

All Might felt it instantly. His heroic smile remained intact, as unyielding as an unbreakable mask, but the environment around him couldn't maintain the same composure. The wind ceased entirely. Dust, smoke, and debris simply hung in the air, suspended in a moment almost unnatural.

The silence fell with crushing weight.

It was so absolute it seemed to scream. So dense it felt like the city itself was holding its breath.

Slur punched the air.

Nothing happened.

The strike sliced through the empty space in front of All Might without producing any visible impact. No explosion. No shockwave. Just… emptiness.

"?"

All Might blinked, confused for a fraction of a second. His heroic smile didn't falter—he had faced tricks, illusions, and delayed attacks before. Still, something was wrong. Very wrong.

The silence dragged on.

It was possible to hear something as small as a drop of water dripping from a broken pipe and hitting the ground, echoing like thunder in that absolute void.

Then—

"Impact…"

The word echoed low, almost a whisper.

BOOM!

An invisible wave of energy erupted from nowhere, striking All Might directly in the abdomen at an absurd speed. The impact was brutal and concentrated, as if all the weight of the surrounding air had been compressed into a single point. The body of the Symbol of Peace bent involuntarily, the air ripped from his lungs in one dry, crushing blow.

But there was no time to react.

Before the pain could even be processed, All Might felt something—a crushing presence above him.

He looked up on instinct.

He got faster!?

The thought barely finished when a hammer-like blow came crashing down on his head. The force was so intense that the sound of the impact echoed through the nearby streets like a cannon shot. All Might was driven downward, slamming face-first into the ground with brutal force, cracking the asphalt in every direction.

The world spun for a moment.

Slur landed right after, upright and imposing. His leg began to glow with the same golden energy, lines of light running up his muscles like living circuits. He raised his foot, preparing the final blow—an overhead strike that promised to crush everything beneath it.

But All Might was not the Symbol of Peace by chance.

With a roar, he slammed his fist into the ground.

"Arizona Smash!"

The force exploded downward before surging upward. The ground ruptured, shattering like glass under pressure. A seismic wave raced through the earth, making Slur lose his balance for an instant—just an instant, but it was all All Might needed.

In a swift motion, All Might rose, grabbing Slur's foot while it was still in the air. His muscles tightened, veins bulging as he swung the villain's body with colossal strength.

"Florida…"

Slur was dragged across the ground in a violent arc, the concrete being pulverized beneath him, sparks and fragments flying in every direction.

"SMASH!"

With one final spin, All Might hurled Slur into the ground with everything he had. The impact carved a deep crater, the sound echoing through the city like a localized earthquake.

For a moment, everything stood still.

Dust slowly rose into the air.

Zoom!

Red and black lights tore through the air like living blades, cutting the space around the crater. The dust didn't even have time to settle. With a single motion of his fist, Slur repelled it completely, the pressure so intense that the air was swept into a perfect circle around him.

His fist still glowed with golden light, the energy swirling like an unstable core. Slur spun his body along with the movement of his arm.

He punched the air.

And the air screamed.

Each strike tore through the atmosphere, creating deafening cracks, like thunder compressed into fractions of a second. The golden energy broke free from his fist in a straight trajectory, distorting the space around it as it advanced.

All Might barely had time to cross his arms.

The attack hit him head-on.

The impact was so violent that the ground below sank in response, as if the very Earth had reacted too late. All Might was launched upward like a projectile, cutting through layers of air in the blink of an eye, breaking through the cloud barrier with a sharp crack.

The world grew distant.

The sound of the battle ceased, replaced by a heavy, rarefied silence. The cold wind cut across his face as he ascended, higher and higher, until he finally lost sight of the city far below.

Above the clouds...

All Might opened his eyes.

And saw something impossible.

The clouds had been torn in two opposing directions, forming a colossal corridor that stretched as far as the eye could see. The masses of vapor spun slowly, pushed by a force that still echoed in the air, as if the very heavens themselves had been wounded.

The wind blew through the rift, carrying the lingering trace of that golden energy—a pressure that made even All Might's body tremble.

His heart pounded harder.

It was like a scar across the sky.

The sky was split!

Was this… Slur's power?
