The group returned to the town and met up with Union officers and leading figures of the towns who were waiting for them. Selena told them what they had found, the creature was a wounded contracted beast and its master was trapped somewhere else and needed to be saved.
Plus, the creature was injured and was just resting. As for why it usually came near the town at night, they didn't know but they assured the townspeople that they did not have to worry about being attacked by the dog.
Since the situation seemed rather urgent, Selena gathered everyone to return to Balon City so that they could report their findings back to the Union branch.
They didn't know what sort of danger the Master of the dog was in but judging from the injured state of the dog, the owner shouldn't be in a better position.
The engine of the armoured vehicle roared to life before heading out of the town as they returned to Balon City.
