Chapter 189 - Chapter 164: The Will of Honkai is stingy?

Boom!!

Under the gaze of everyone, the "continent" came to a halt.

-----------------------------------

The myth-filled visual impact left countless people speechless.

Before today, no one would have thought that sheer physical power alone could stop the advance of a continent.

Until now.

"Roar-!"

Realizing it could not move forward another step, Chiyou let out an angry roar, and Honkai beasts rained down from its back.

Falling into the sea, the dozens-of-meters-tall beasts thrashed wildly, true monsters in every sense.

Beasts of that size already required entire A-rank Valkyrie squads or mecha units to subdue.

Without sufficient strength, facing them was likely a death sentence.

Yet, in front of Godzilla, hundreds of meters tall and as massive as a mountain, these Honkai beasts only reached up to its knees.

And here, there was no end in sight to such beasts.

Godzilla did not even spare them a glance, too insignificant to be worth noticing.

Its tail glowed with blue light, energy gathering. In the next instant, the mighty tail swung like a colossal blade.

Carrying unmatched sharpness, the icy-blue slash swept through the herd of Honkai beasts without suspense. When the blade's light faded, nothing remained in the area it had passed, not even seawater, leaving behind a gaping trench.

A few lucky Honkai beasts lay weakly on the sea's surface, half their bodies sliced apart.

As if realizing the beasts were useless against Godzilla, Chiyou let out another deep hum.

Godzilla sensed Honkai Energy surging into Chiyou's body like a tide.

The storm born of such a scale of Honkai Energy was visible to the naked eye.

In Godzilla's perception, the energy Chiyou was gathering in its mouth could flatten the surrounding area and leave the ocean scarred with a bottomless crater!

Trying to unleash energy in front of me? You dare not take me seriously!

Before Chiyou could absorb it all, Godzilla tightened its grip. With a thunderous boom, Chiyou's legs tore free from the ground!

Because of its massive body, even such a simple act of leaving the ground made the earth tremble.

As its body rose, the sea level, already lowered by its emergence, dropped even further!

The visible fall of the sea surface alone was unfathomable. This was proof of just how immense Chiyou's body truly was.

"Roar!!" Sensing it was being lifted, Chiyou thrashed wildly. With a body of that scale, even casual struggling stirred massive waves.

But before the awe-inspiring sight, such chaos was nothing.

Godzilla's muscles swelled, its tail whipped through the air, and then… it raised Chiyou overhead!

The continent-sized Chiyou was lifted above Godzilla's head!

The entire sky darkened. The phrase blocking out the sun finally took literal form.

So enormous was Chiyou that nearly half the region was shrouded in its shadow.

Unaware of what was happening, people who stepped outside suddenly found the sky turning pale purple, confused and alarmed.

Feeling Chiyou still struggling, Godzilla narrowed its eyes. In the next instant,

Boom! Head slam!

Boom! Head slam!

Boom! Head slam!

It was worth noting that because of Chiyou's colossal size, Godzilla could not simply swing it with one hand. What unfolded instead was the bizarre sight of Godzilla planting Chiyou into the ground like a massive stake, then pulling it out again.

Ordinary people, unaware of the true situation, stared at the flickering sky in utter panic.

Each head-first impact caused massive quakes, splitting the land apart.

The ocean churned violently, waves towering in destruction.

Are aliens invading Earth?!

After another earth-shattering crash, Godzilla finally stopped its WWE-like moves.

Honkai beasts felt no pain. They were merely extensions of the Honkai itself, and so even after countless strikes, Chiyou remained fierce and unyielding.

As soon as the slamming ceased, it began gathering energy again.

Seeing this, Godzilla gripped Chiyou's jaws apart, forcing its mouth open. Inside, three ominous spheres formed.

Within them condensed Honkai Energy that, without a doubt, could annihilate cities and scar entire continents if successfully fired.

And still, the manipulator behind Chiyou was unsatisfied, forcing it to gather even more.

Godzilla, holding Chiyou's mouth open with one hand, then…

Its tail glowed, dorsal fins lit up, and blue light gathered in its maw.

Sensing danger, Chiyou struggled frantically, but it was futile. Realizing it couldn't break free, its energy condensation suddenly accelerated! In less than a second, it released!

At the instant the purple beam fired,

Another flash of blue light answered.

Boom!!

Blue Atomic Breath!

The charged beam, surging with immense power, collided head-on. In an instant, the purple was overwhelmed by searing blue radiance.

It all happened too fast. Before Chiyou could react, the burning Atomic Breath pierced straight through its enormous body!

From head to tail, through and through!

Yet even so, Chiyou endured, seemingly unkillable.

Godzilla paid it no mind. With its damaged body unable to move, Chiyou lay defenseless. Godzilla leapt onto its back.

The Honkai beasts on its back, already struck down by the atomic breath earlier, were gone.

And because Chiyou had focused on condensing energy instead of spawning more Honkai beasts, no reinforcements came.

After all, in a battle of this level, mere Honkai beasts were meaningless.

Slash.

Godzilla's tail stabbed into Chiyou's body, slicing through like a hot knife through butter, before tearing open.

The Honkai Energy Chiyou had amassed over millennia spilled forth before Godzilla's eyes.

With one bite, Godzilla devoured it all, ten thousand years of gathered energy consumed in an instant.

As Chiyou's heart shattered, a dignified, anciently dressed girl appeared. She bowed to Godzilla in gratitude before dissipating into the world.

"Tch , stingy." Godzilla smacked Chiyou's corpse with its tail, dissatisfied.

Even dead, Chiyou's body exuded overwhelming pressure.

After all, such an immense form alone was enough to inspire fear.

To Godzilla, Chiyou itself was not the true target. The collected Honkai Energy was, or rather, the one manipulating events from behind, forcing Chiyou's premature revival.

Godzilla guessed that this could only be the Will of Honkai.

Through this selection mechanism, Godzilla could shorten the time needed to find the Imaginary Tree and the Quantum Sea.

Why it needed to find them, that was not for others to know.

Chiyou's unnatural revival and its strange tactics in battle were undoubtedly the work of the Will of Honkai.

The purpose was simple. To find and eliminate Godzilla, who had recently revealed himself!

But with little knowledge of Godzilla and bound by its own limitations, the Will of Honkai could not properly target his true form.

Thus, it could only pour Honkai Energy endlessly into Chiyou, forcing its strength higher, to draw Godzilla out.

Honkai, at its core, was a filter. And Godzilla did not belong to this world. Therefore, the Will sought to expel him, or if possible kill him.

And it worked. For Godzilla, seeking the Tree and the Sea, such provocations indeed piqued his interest.

But the consequence was inevitable, the Will had drawn his gaze.

If it had not cut its ties with Chiyou in time, at the instant Godzilla absorbed the heart, he might have traced the Imaginary Tree or the Sea of Quanta's exact location.

Perhaps because of Aha and others climbing the Imaginary Tree, unlike before, the Imaginary Tree lay dormant within the cosmos, utterly still.

If not for the presence of imaginary energy, Godzilla might have thought it had fallen asleep entirely.

Thus, finding its trail now would require far greater effort.

A rare shortcut had appeared before him, only to be severed unilaterally.

Isn't it just that you want to find me in your dreams and play, yet you don't even send a location.

Stingy ghost, a mean Will of Honkai!

Godzilla unhappily swished its tail, vertical pupils filled with displeasure as it looked into the distant sky, where a steel-colored air battleship floated.

...

"That scared me to death, I thought he was going to attack us."

Patting her chest in lingering fear, Kiana wore a look of one who had narrowly escaped death.

That moment just now, she truly thought she was going to be dragged into it!

"Idiot Kiana actually gets scared too." Bronya spoke calmly, yet that calmness seemed pale and powerless beneath her faintly trembling hands.

Mei's expression at the side didn't look good either.

To see with her own eyes that even a Honkai beast of Chiyou's level was like a toy in Godzilla's hands, and then to face Godzilla's displeased gaze, being able to hold out under that was no ordinary feat.

'I told you all to run farther away! Do humans not cherish their lives?!'

The Herrscher of Thunder cursed angrily in the consciousness space.

If not for worrying that the giant beast might double back, she would already have slipped away a little.

Unlike the three kids behind her, those who had experienced great scenes many times quickly collected themselves.

Himeko stared at the data analyzed on the screen, eyes full of shock.

"The sea level dropped this much directly!"

Granted, part of it was Chiyou's doing, but Chiyou's body was now lying immobile in the sea!

This water was displaced purely by the heat radiating from the body!

To casually cause destruction of this magnitude, was that really a creature humans could fight against? Or perhaps… was it actually an ally?

She couldn't make sense of it.

Himeko's impression of Godzilla now came partly from binge-watching movies, and partly from the battle in Nagazora.

Whether Godzilla was friend or foe, she really didn't know. But she vaguely sensed that with the emergence of an existence this terrifying, the world was being pushed onto some unusual path.

Fu Hua stayed silent, images surfacing in her mind of Nuwa, Fuxi, Ji Xuanyuan from thousands of years ago...

Everyone had paid a huge price to seal Chiyou, yet now Chiyou was like a mere toy in Godzilla's hands. The gap, too vast.

"What's with all this! Each of you making such a big ruckus and not even providing after-sales service, that's really too much!"

It was another day of an agitated Principal Theresa.

...

"As expected."

Herta's look of already knowing the result left Rita scratching like a cat at heart.

Curiosity killed the cat.

But when something you're deeply interested in is right before you, even knowing that an abyss might be waiting, how many can resist?

Unfortunately for her, Rita was precisely that type.

'Better to let the Overseer and the others speak with them first.'

Thinking this silently, Rita smiled and said aloud: "Sorry to interrupt, but the Overseer wishes to have further discussions with you two at Schicksal HQ. Would you be available?"

"Will there be tasty desserts?" Miss Messenger asked happily.

"Hehe, I'm not without skill, when it comes to all kinds of pastries I've dabbled quite a bit. If you don't mind, you could sample some of my handiwork."

Rita smiled gently.

Out of the corner of her eye, she took in the newborn 'continent' rising from the sea.

Every time she saw that sight, her heart couldn't help but twitch.

Such overwhelming power.

...

Naturally, such enormous commotion could not be hidden from the information age of today's world.

In just an instant, videos of the giant beast on the ocean spread widely across the internet.

Yet usually within two seconds they were taken down by unknown forces.

Those who had seen it in person felt the same looming storm.

...

Anti-Entropy.

" ... "

" ... "

"Pinch me."

"Ow! You really used force!" Tesla struggled to turn her face aside, covering her cheek, looking incredulously at Einstein.

Her face stung hotly.

'Seriously, did you really have to go that hard?!'

"Dr. Tesla's occasional foolish acts can be forgiven. No need to thank me this time." Rubbing her fingers, Einstein said flatly.

"Who's thanking you, you bastard!" Tesla, face full of anger, rolled up her sleeves, ready to go at it with Einstein.

At the critical moment, Welt's voice came from the screen.

"Ahem, if there are issues, I think you can settle them later."

Hearing this, Tesla glared at Einstein, folded her arms, and turned away.

At first glance the scene seemed lively, but in reality everyone was still weighed down by that immense pressure just now.

Well, perhaps it counted as Dr. Tesla's way of helping everyone step out of the gloom and face a better tomorrow.

"Godzilla, a creature once only existing in movies, now able to directly clash with Chiyou, with free space-warping abilities, terrifying!"

Welt didn't know how to describe it, his mind could only settle on two words for Godzilla now:

Terrifying!

No one had expected a creature only known from movies to appear in reality, crushing the opponent with overwhelming strength, fearsome and incomprehensible.

"I have a hypothesis." Einstein suddenly spoke.

"Could Chiyou have been prepared by the Honkai specifically for Godzilla?"

At these words, the room fell silent.

Tesla was about to speak, but her brilliant brain for once did not stall, she started recalling the details that had just occurred.

The more she thought, the more she felt the depth of it all.

"Looked at this way, it really could be! Otherwise there's no explaining why Chiyou, sealed for so long, would suddenly appear. Logically, a Honkai beast of this level should emerge alongside a Herrscher. Even if sealed until now, it shouldn't be an exception!"

To awaken a Honkai beast of Chiyou's class would require unimaginable amounts of Honkai energy.

Only a Herrscher-level cataclysm could produce enough to awaken it.

Yet they had received no forewarning of any Herrscher emergence, only Chiyou's sudden appearance, gathering Honkai energy.

And after Godzilla appeared, the originally accumulating energy completely dissipated.

One event after another connected together, impossible not to overthink.

"Welt, Anti-Entropy really needs you back right now!" Linking it all together, Einstein looked seriously at Welt.

With something this big, the official leader of Anti-Entropy couldn't just sit idle.

"I understand." Rubbing his brow, Welt nodded.

Indeed, with an incident of this magnitude, the leader of Anti-Entropy had to step forward to steady the people.

...

Schicksal.

Two unfamiliar visitors from afar arrived for the first time at this floating sky island.

As an S-rank Valkyrie of Schicksal, Rita accompanied them the whole way.

"Decent aesthetics." After surveying the floating island Rita had described, Herta gave her evaluation.

Well, don't expect her to say anything nice. In terms of technology, Herta could casually produce things countless times more spectacular than this floating island.

The only thing worth nodding at was the aesthetics. After all, as long as it wasn't too advanced or too backward, it could still be considered decent work.

"Seems this charming floating island fails to satisfy my guests."

At that moment, a magnetic voice sounded.

Otto Apocalypse. The ruler of Schicksal, a man of five hundred years' obsession.

Otto gazed at the two guests before him. No matter how he looked, they stood apart from this world.

As Otto studied them, Herta was studying Otto in turn.

Finally, she reached a conclusion.

"You, you also play with dolls?"

At these words, the smile on Otto's lips imperceptibly froze, but in the next second he resumed as before.

"This guest's eyes seem to perceive many things. Why don't we sit down, enjoy some afternoon tea, and have a chat?"

"Alright, but you said it, you must prepare a truly excellent afternoon tea."

"Hehe, please rest assured, Miss Herta. Rita never breaks her word."
