Chapter 64 - Jue vs Saigoji Youmu

What really matters is how Saigoji Youmu knew about the Mayfly Technique. He didn't even tell Uchiha Madara about this technique. "I know there's a lot more to it than the Mayfly Technique," Saigoji Youmu said meaningfully. "For example, someone who is very old and dying."

"Who the hell are you?" Hearing this, Jue's expression finally changed. Although Saigoji Youmu spoke vaguely, he knew the person he was referring to was Uchiha Madara.

"It doesn't matter who I am." Saigoji Youmu summoned the Western Sword. "The important thing is that you calculated my moves."

"I admit that your strength is formidable, but I'm not Ōnoki or the Third Raikage." Jue never took Saigoji Youmu's actions to heart. In terms of combat effectiveness, he believed he was inferior to Saigoji Youmu. However, he was absolutely confident that Saigoji Youmu couldn't handle him. He was not an ordinary existence.

"Weren't you present at yesterday's battle? You saw what happened to Ōnoki and the Third Raikage. They thought at first that I would definitely die there."

In the valley yesterday, the moment Jue appeared, Saigoji Youmu noticed him. However, his main targets at the time were the Third Raikage and Ōnoki, so he ignored Jue.

Boom. The ground shook violently. The ice layer shattered, and earth and rocks splashed. Thick tree vines broke through the ground one after another, fluttering in the wind. The rising smoke obscured Saigoji Youmu's vision, preventing him from noticing Jue's actions.

"Stop playing these little tricks in front of me." There was an ice-blue light in Saigoji Youmu's eyes. The rich ice element quickly gathered around him, and the surrounding temperature suddenly dropped to the extreme, as if time and space were being frozen.

"Extreme Ice Profound Truth: Mahapatma!" Boom. The ice element spread instantly, covering the surroundings. Time stopped, and space froze. The area enveloped by the ice became a world of ice blue. The wind blowing, the trees on the side of the road, and the insects in the grass—all were rendered immobile. Even the dust in the air was no exception. The only one who could act was Saigoji Youmu.

Tread, tat, tat. Saigoji Youmu walked slowly toward the place where Jue was, drawing out the Western Sword. To deal with someone with such fighting power, Saigoji Youmu didn't need to use a move like Mahapatma. Still, he was clear that with extreme caution, he would never face him head-on. Jue's first thought must have been to run away. The perfect Mayfly Technique could only traverse through the grass and trees on the earth, and just now, Saigoji Youmu had frozen the surrounding ground and vegetation.

So he concluded that Jue had made such a commotion as if he wanted to fight, but in fact, it was to break the ice on the ground and take the opportunity to escape. As expected. When Saigoji Youmu walked through the smoke and vines and came near Jue, more than half of his body had sunk into the ground.

"Ah," Saigoji Youmu chuckled. He immediately raised the Western Sword in his hand and slashed at Jue, who was on the ground.

Pooh. Jue's body was split in half. At the same time, Mahapatma came to an end.

"Uh, what's going on?" Jue, cut in half, did not die. He was just unable to move for a short period.

"I still think so," Saigoji Youmu remarked. "No one can do anything about it. Are you a human, ghost, or some other creature?"

"Huh?" Upon hearing Saigoji Youmu's voice, Jue noticed that he was only a few feet away.

"What have you done?" For the first time, Jue felt flustered. This feeling of facing the unknown and everything beyond his control terrified him.

"This time, I'm charging some interest first." Saigoji Youmu turned around and continued on his way. He didn't answer Jue's question, nor did he kill him. His absolute self-confidence was not without reason. He could only seal and not kill. The current Saigoji Youmu did not know the sealing technique and had no way to eliminate Jue. Therefore, he could only let him go temporarily. However, this did not mean that Saigoji Youmu would tolerate him counting on himself. As Saigoji Youmu had just said, for now, he was only charging a little interest.
