Chapter 233 - Chapter 233: The Demon God Kaido

A tyrannical aura, like that of a prehistoric beast, erupted from Kaido. The violent pressure kicked up the sand and dust on the ground, pressing in on Bege.

Bege's strength had made him incredibly excited. At this moment, he was ready to let loose and fight with all his might.

An abyss-like, terrifying presence swept out. Kaido was like a demon god, his gaze disdainful, as if he were the only one in the world.

His hair flew wildly, and his body felt heavy. The tyrannical aura pressed down on Bege like a small mountain. Bege's face was impassive, but his eyes slowly began to turn blood-red, a strong fighting spirit mixed with the coldness.

At this moment, Bege also grew excited. The blood in his veins boiled, and his body tingled with anticipation.

"Fight!" Bege roared. The space around him began to ripple. Faced with such a powerful Kaido, he immediately used his awakened ability, taking control of the thousand-meter space around him.

Bege took a step and appeared behind Kaido as if he had teleported. Within the domain he controlled, he could perform spatial transfers, a method similar to teleportation.

Of course, this spatial transfer consumed a great deal of mental energy, but its speed was beyond imagination and it could often produce astonishing results.

His swords slashed down viciously, striking Kaido's body. The razor-sharp blades tore at his skin, but strangely, it produced a shower of sparks, as if Kaido's skin were made of hardened steel, unbelievably tough.

Of course, Bege's slashes were also unstoppable; cutting through steel was a simple matter for him. After the shower of sparks, the blades cut through Kaido's skin, leaving two wounds, especially from the Fire Cloud Sword, whose searing heat burned his flesh.

The moment Bege's swords struck, Kaido was already prepared. He spun around, his right fist, like a pillar of heaven, instantly shooting toward Bege.

The punch sent Bege flying. He shot through the air like a streak of light and crashed into the ground, which exploded on impact. He was sent skidding, plowing a deep trench.

Bege instantly shot out of the trench. Besides a slight numbness in his arms, he was unharmed. Kaido's punch was ferocious, but the moment it had landed, Bege had put up his defenses. His Castle Skin, combined with a layer of hardened space, had absorbed most of the force. And as he fell, the space behind him had hardened again, so the impact with the ground had been mostly absorbed by the hardened space. He hadn't taken much damage.

Kaido touched the wounds on his back. The sight of his own crimson blood made him even more excited.

"As expected, only a swordsman can cut my skin! Hahaha! Come on, again! Give me a sharper slash!"

The wounds on his back healed in two seconds. Even the burns from the high temperature quickly grew new flesh, replacing the charred meat.

His regenerative ability was beyond belief. The damage you dealt could never keep up with the speed at which his body healed. This was why Kaido was unkillable.

Kaido strode forward, like a prehistoric beast pouncing on its prey. A storm of tyrannical, ferocious aura swept toward Bege.

In two steps, he was in front of him. His thick arms shot through the air, and Bege quickly retreated, narrowly avoiding the blow.

The iron fist shattered the earth. Kaido pressed his advantage, his fists a blur of motion, like a pair of striking dragons, creating a sky full of afterimages as they repeatedly smashed the ground. The entire island trembled, fractured, and collapsed under his assault.

Cracks spread out in all directions like lightning bolts.

He was like a mad demon, his punches getting faster and faster. Bege found it increasingly difficult to dodge. He shot into the sky, flipped over Kaido's head, and the cursed sword Hannya pulsed with a fiendish, bloody sword aura.

He brought it down with a furious slash, the terrifying blood-red energy seeming to split the heavens and the earth, incredibly sharp and brutal.

"Beast King!"

Kaido suddenly looked up and threw a punch that pierced the atmosphere, striking the cursed sword.

With a loud boom, a shockwave swept out. Bege was sent flying into the sky by the immense force, while Kaido was driven downwards. A hundred-meter section of the ground collapsed simultaneously, and countless cracks spread out wildly.

Half of Kaido's body was buried in the earth.

He let out a roar and, placing his hands on the ground, pulled himself out. He had just looked up when another ferocious, blood-red fire dragon dove down, crashing into him.

It knocked him to the ground again. But this time, as he fell, he caught the blood-red fire dragon in his hands and, with a mighty heave, tore it to shreds.

Kaido climbed to his feet, the wounds from the blood-red fire dragon's impact already healing rapidly.

The space beneath Bege's feet hardened, and he stood steadily in the air. The bloody aura around him grew even more intense, forming the ethereal image of a massive beast, its blood-red eyes projecting a terrifying, soul-shaking killing intent.

The two of them locked eyes, and the powerful fighting spirit and killing intent in their gazes clashed in mid-air. Without a word, they both attacked, crashing into each other.

Space trembled, and a fierce wind raged. The two figures, one large and one small, fought like wild, prehistoric beasts, trading furious blows. Every punch and every slash contained a terrifying, destructive power. The impacts of their clashes shattered stone and shook the very foundations of the island. A several-thousand-meter area was leveled, and small mountains collapsed and were pulverized in the shockwaves.

Kaido fought with increasing ferocity, the terrifying killing intent around him growing thicker. The power behind each of his punches was multiplying.

After trading a few more blows head-on, Bege seized an opportunity and used his spatial transfer to appear behind Kaido.

"Beast God!" A fiendish, blood-red slash of sword energy slammed into Kaido's back. The incredibly sharp blade tore through his tough skin, and the powerful force of the blow sent him flying. He crashed into a mountain, which instantly exploded, and he was buried in a pile of rubble.

Bege took a deep breath, panting heavily. He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and closed his eyes, quickly communicating with Mansherry and Brook inside his body-castle. Mansherry immediately began to heal his injuries, while Brook played his violin, using his Soul Parade to soothe his spirit, eliminate his fatigue, and restore his mental energy.

Using external help in a one-on-one duel like this was, admittedly, cheating.

But Bege didn't care. Kaido was too strong, not someone he could defeat at his current level. To win this fight, to ensure the safety of his sky island, he had to use every means at his disposal to at least fight Kaido to a draw, if not defeat him.

A cloud of dust and sand filled the air. A low roar, like that of a dragon or a beast, came from within the dust cloud. A massive, dark shadow appeared.

BOOM!

The earth trembled violently. A massive leg, covered in red dragon scales, stepped out of the dust, shattering the ground beneath it.

Then, a behemoth emerged.

Kaido was now covered from head to toe in dragon scales, and his body had grown even larger and more muscular.

He had used his Devil Fruit ability.

Kaido was the user of the Mythical Zoan Dragon-Dragon Fruit, Model: Azure Dragon, and he had developed his ability to a very deep level.

Even before using his Devil Fruit, Kaido had been terrifying. Now, in his hybrid form, to what horrifying new level would his strength reach?

A tyrannical aura, like that of a demon god from the abyss, erupted from his dragon-scaled body. It was vast and profound. Kaido looked down at Bege, his eyes filled with brutality and excitement.

"Brat," he roared, "let's go again."
