Chapter 231 - Chapter 231: Shakky

Shakky's Rip-Off Bar was an ordinary-looking little tavern. But anyone who frequented the Sabaody Archipelago knew that the owner of this bar was a major figure with connections everywhere, not someone to be trifled with.

No one knew the full extent of Shakky's strength. They only knew that she used to be a pirate and had retired for unknown reasons forty years ago to open this bar on Sabaody. To be able to run a bar for forty years right under the noses of the Celestial Dragons showed just how extraordinary Shakky was.

Bellamy guessed that this woman was most likely connected to the Revolutionary Army. She might even be one of its high-ranking officers. This speculation wasn't unfounded. In the original story, after Luffy was sent flying by Kuma, Shakky was able to easily pinpoint Luffy's location and notify Rayleigh to go and rescue him. This showed that she and Kuma must have had some kind of secret connection. Kuma must have trusted her immensely; otherwise, he would never have revealed Luffy's location. And Rayleigh trusted her completely as well; the two had even exchanged Vivre Cards. It was clear that this woman's identity and background were anything but simple.

And right now, the place Rayleigh was living was this very bar run by Shakky. To find Rayleigh, all one had to do was find Shakky's Rip-Off Bar.

After bringing Franky back to the ship, Bellamy gave Drake and the others an important task and then set out alone. He easily found the bar. A legitimate, open-for-business establishment like this was easy to find; he just had to ask a few people on the street.

On the surface, Shakky's Rip-Off Bar was an ordinary tavern, but secretly, the owner often sold valuable information. However, Shakky usually only dealt with regulars. If you weren't introduced by someone she knew, she wouldn't even bother with you.

Bellamy pushed open the door and walked in, finding the place surprisingly empty. Although it was daytime, the bar still felt a bit too quiet. Seeing a customer arrive, the owner, Shakky, glanced up. Seeing it was a stranger, she looked back down and continued polishing a glass. The other customers at the tables looked up at the sound of the door opening, but upon seeing a stranger in a hood, they quickly lost interest.

"Probably just some kid who heard a rumor."

Shakky sometimes sold particularly valuable information, so people would often drop by to try their luck. Her bar was a rip-off, but the reason it stayed in business was precisely because of this.

"Give me a good drink." Bellamy tapped on the bar and casually ordered.

"What's a 'good drink'? All I have here is beer and cocktails." Shakky, with a cigarette dangling from her lips, slid the glass she was holding in front of Bellamy. "Kid, you'd better have enough money on you."

"Hmm?"

Bellamy felt his pockets and then chuckled. He really didn't have much money on him. He had always been a big spender; even with hundreds of millions of Beri, it wouldn't last him long. He had recently spent a large sum on some intelligence, so he was pretty broke. He planned to smash Doflamingo's Human Auction House and make a big score before he left, but that had to be after the ship was coated, not now.

"Don't tell me you don't have any money on you."

Bellamy's reaction made Shakky's eyes widen. Someone actually dared to dine and dash at her place? The nerve. She suddenly grabbed Bellamy's hood and yanked it down. "Hey, brat, are you here to cause trouble?"

Bellamy's youthful appearance could easily be misleading at first glance. With his hood down, everyone else in the bar saw his face.

Bellamy smiled at her, then opened his hand and made a grasping motion. He caught a handful of air, squeezing it into the shape of a disc.

Energy Disc.

The air disc cut an arc through the bar before silently dissipating into the void. A second later, all the customers who had seen his face suddenly shuddered, and their heads tumbled from their necks.

"Miss Shakky, can we have a proper chat now?"

"Who are you?!" Bellamy's move wasn't enough to scare Shakky. After all the storms she had weathered over the years, what kind of person hadn't she seen? Besides, the Dark King Rayleigh lived right here.

"Bellamy." He introduced himself simply and directly.

"So it's you."

Hearing the name, Shakky instantly understood everything. So it was this mad dog. No wonder he was so murderous. It was a shame about these customers; they had all lost their lives because of her momentary lapse. Of course, she only felt a slight pity. After all, the number of suckers coming to throw their money away had been dwindling lately. As for avenging them? That was impossible. She wanted to live a few more years.

"Even if you're Bellamy, you're not getting a free meal here!" Shakky glared at him, showing no weakness in the face of the slaughter and the blood-soaked floor.

Bellamy pulled his hood back up and tapped the bar again. "Just take the money from their corpses."

"Now, can I get that drink?"

"Wait!" Shakky had no choice but to turn and get Bellamy his drink. "Honestly, where did that old geezer Rayleigh run off to? He's not here when I'm being bullied. I'm going to give him an earful when he gets back."

Fuming, Shakky poured Bellamy a beer. "Here, you brat. Drink up and get out."

How could she not know who Bellamy was? She had just been momentarily distracted and mistaken him for an ordinary boy. If word got out that this guy was here, her little bar of over forty years would have to close down. Others might not know, but Shakky was well aware that Bellamy had completely destroyed a very important shipment of Heavenly Tribute. After doing something like that, he still dared to show his face on the Sabaody Archipelago. He was a complete and utter madman.

Before entering the bar, Bellamy had already used his Observation Haki and knew that Rayleigh wasn't here. But as long as Shakky was around, he could always find the old man. Bellamy didn't touch the beer. He wasn't really here for a drink. After ordering, he looked at the mysterious woman and asked the question that mattered most to him.

"Where's Rayleigh?"

"What did you say?!" Bellamy knows about Rayleigh?!

Shakky's hand trembled, and the cigarette nearly fell from her fingers.

"Did you think I came here for a drink?" Bellamy flicked the glass and stared intently into her eyes. "Where did Rayleigh go?"

"Who are you?!" Wasn't Bellamy just some thug from the North Blue? How did he know about Rayleigh, and how did he find his way here? What does he want?
