When he had read that letter he was shocked and not at the same time after all the man walking up the stairs of gringotts at this time was a reincarnator who has read the Harry Potter book across dozens of worlds and incarnations including writing a few of his own, read hundreds of fanfictions, and the original books themselves so even though he was surprised to be a Potter he was not surprised he would be a lord after all that's what he has been planning for quite some time he planned on using his knowledge from not only the future but other worlds to some extent to conquer the British isles, the Americas, Canada, and Greenland to make his own little group like he did in the Rwby world not to mention that just speeds up his plans for this world so he was overly cheery something the goblin guards noticed as he walked by them.
As he entered the bank he had felt around in his pockets one last time to make sure he had his wallet, he has been hearing a lot about thieves and pickpockets as of recently within both nocturne and diagon alleys and he hasn't bothered using runes in his pockets since this is only a temporary suit too shield his wallet.
Once he confirmed it he walked up to a goblin teller but noticing it was busy he decided to wait something he had picked up in a lot of worlds especially the ones where he was a high elf or an immortal and thats that patience was something he had in spades.
Once the goblin teller was done he looked up at the man and nodded his thanks for the man who had waited the man nodded back then walked up took out a letter and gave it to the goblin he didn't say anything but motion to the goblin to read once the goblin had read the letter he had risen an eyebrow but said nothing he rang a bell causing goblin to appear he said something to the goblin then spoke to the man.
"Welcome Potter lordship candidate to gringotts the best and largest goblin Bank in the world now please follow the goblin to get your blood tested he will also be the one taking you to your accountant if the blood test shows true." The man just gave a simple thank you and a nod and followed the goblin for a few minutes and arrived at a big set of golden doors something he couldn't help shaking his head at luckily the goblin in front of him didn't notice.
Once he had entered he and the goblin were met with a significantly older goblin who was doing paperwork at the time but once we had entered he looked up at us and said something in gobbledygook to the goblin next to the man the goblin responded and The goblin behind the desk looked at the man and motioned him forward while saying "to be honest we had all thought Harry Potter was the last of the Potter line I'm surprised there is another alive." The man responded "To be honest I have been out of the British isles for quite the many decades I knew of the war but decided not to intervene thinking my father Charles could handle it and if my brother James required it I could always drop by but neither had ever called for me I had stopped receiving letters from them a while ago and only recently found out of their deaths."
Both the goblin behind the desk and the goblin who had escorted him were in shock they did not know James Potter had a still living brother they did know that Charles Potter had multiple children but gringotts thought they were all dead "Well that is quite a surprise a pleasant one but a surprise none the less now approach and we can do the blood test do you know what the blood test is and how to do it?"
The man confirmed with a nod and said "Yes I am to take that dagger and cut one of my fingers and drop three drops of blood into that bowl and the blood quill would write out the results." The goblin behind the desk nodded and pushed both the dagger and the bowl forward Ospin took the dagger hovered his hand over the bowl and cut his finger, when three drops dropped into the bowl the wound healed and the quail next to the bowl started to float and write on a nearby parchment the results.
