Ara's POV
As I stood in front of the mirror, just staring my reflection trying to recall everything liza taught me and I'm still a human being but as everyone knows bad luck is my bestest friend! I can't recall anything bro!?!
"Don't worry this feeling is normal! Just ne yourself." Aunt assured me while ironing my dress for today. But still I'm nervous. Nothing changed.
Leo and Liza is already at the school. It's Monday!! then I left with uncle and aunt for the school. Still so nervous! Nothing changed. If the interviewers ask something super duper silly!??! If I fainted in front of the interviewers!?!? Ara relax!
Oh! My! God! Is this is for real!?!! Looks like a heaven! I'm just staring at the beautiful campus in front of me. 'Aurora International Academy' ! The butterflies in my stomach!
This campus is so elegant and vintage types but still so modern! As soon as I reached the exam room. Only for me!
There is no one in the room. Easy-peasy everything is so easy bro! Then the most most most difficult part of today.
The interview!
Three human beings just staring at me from last 8 minutes 46 seconds. Finally! one of the human being spoke from the three. "Describe yourself." First question.
"Umm... I'm Ara Rao Reyes. I'm transfered from wooden-rill school from Germany." After some time I'm so much comfortable, that much comfortable that I'm talking about my favourite tv show! They cut me in between.
I'm become a red tomato from embarrassment. I can't do anything! They ask me some of the silly questions like this and then I came out of the room.
"Good Job Ara!!!" Uncle and Aunt exclaimed in unison.
"What do you think? I'll get in?" I ask.
"Af course, don't worry. We know you worked hard." Uncle said and patted my head.
I nodded....just nodded.
The bell rang. Students started coming out of their classes. Seems like it's lunch break.
Whatever we three kept walking to the parking lot. Suddenly I saw a familiar face. I didn't recognise but before I see who is it, the face disappeared. I ignored and keep walking.
I'm still thinking about that stupid interview all of the way to home...my new home.
I didn't even wait the car parked properly in parking lot, I jumped outside. I'm looking like a total idiot. Uncle and Aunt stunned by my action.
I walked straight to my room, and crawl into bed. My mind is become a mess.
I couldn't stop thinking about the interview. I replayed every question, every answer, and every awkward moment in my head. My aunt, Rhea, noticed my furrowed brow and asked, "Hey, kiddo, what's wrong?"
I didn't even notice when she come in..
I sighed and let my head hit the bed hard "I don't know, Aunt Rhea. I think I messed up. What if I don't get in?" She chuckled and patted my hand.
"You'll be fine, Ara. You're a brilliant girl. Just be yourself, and you'll ace it."
I raised an eyebrow. "Easy for you to say. You're not the one who's going to be stuck in a new school with people who speak a different language."
My uncle, chuckled. "Well, you'll learn the language in no time. And who knows, you might even teach them some German phrases."
I rolled my eyes good-naturedly. "Yeah, like 'Ich liebe Kachori'?" My aunt laughed. "Exactly! You'll fit right in."
I decided to take a nap. But, of course, I ended up sleeping for hours, and I suddenly woke up, I had a weird dream about the interview. I was standing in front of some weird human beings, may be interviewers. And they were all wearing a joker costume and speaking in a made-up language. I tried to answer their questions, but all that came out was gibberish.
I laughed at the absurdity of it all. Note to self weird dreams are a sign of stress.
Liza walked into my room, holding a plate of snacks. "Hey, Ara! I brought you some goodies. How was your day?" I sat up, rubbing my eyes. "It was...interesting. I think I might have messed up the interview, though."
Liza plopped down beside me. "Aww, don't worry! You'll be fine. You're awesome, and they'll love you." I smiled, feeling a bit better. "Thanks, Liza. You're always so optimistic."
As we continued to chat and snack, I realized that maybe this new school thing wouldn't be so bad after all. With Liza and Leo by my side, I might just survive this crazy new adventure.
But little did I know, my life was about to get a whole lot more interesting...
I didn't realise it's time for the dinner. We both just talking about nonsense. I showed her a reel about a catastrophic who's doing a backflip. Hilarious...
Suddenly aunt called out from downstairs. So we both rushed towards the dining area. Leo was already sitting there busy with his phone but as always a balloon face.
I sat beside Liza alternate to uncle who was busy with his ipad. Rich. everyone is just talking about my school life. By honest it's my first experience with family. I know mumma isn't with me but I'm still happy here.
I didn't even realise about one week is already passed along with leo's rudeness and ignorance for me. Rude. Suddenly a home call came to uncle informing that I can join school from Wednesday means a day after tomorrow. So uncle give us treat of German cuisine!
Food!!
The news is happy but I don't know why I'm nervous. Relax Ara it's normal. But still I'm feeling so weird today. From a day after tomorrow I'm going to start a new journey!
I want to be happy for this!!
"Aren't you happy??" Liza asked me.
"N-No it's not like that.. I'm just nervous. Don't worry." I explained myself. I'm hardly audible. Even I not able to hear myself.
Liza just nodded with a smile. I also nodded. Just nodded.
Every thing is going straight until I pour hot no very hot kohlrabisuppe on Leo! I'm just serving myself and I accidentally thrown it to his shirt.
"A-Ahhh... WHAT THE HELL!!!" He screamed. My ears are just fall off.
This is not possible that I don't creat any trouble. This is obvious because bad luck is my sibling.
"I'm sorry...I don't mean to do this!" I explained myself again."relax Leo it's just a shirt." I want to assure him but...
"ARE YOU FREAKIN' KIDDING ME!! YOU ARE SUCH A CLUMSY BAKA!?!! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU ARA??!? TODAY YOU SPILL SOUP ON ME, WHO KNOWS TOMMOROW POUR HOT BOILING OIL ON SOMEONE!!!?!" he is screaming on me. I'm afraid of his voice.
I want to cry but I don't want to show this to him. I'm trying to pull back my tears!
"I DON'T WANT YOU HERE!! GET THE HELL— OUT!! GO BACK TO GERMANY OR NEW YORK FOR YOUR BUSY MOM OR WHEREVER YOU CAME FROM!!! YOU ARE JUST LIKE YOUR FATHER YOU BASTARD!!!!––"
WAIT!! FATHER?!??
Before he says anything else uncle slap him!
"Leo! Language!! Don't dare to say those words in future to your sister!!" Aunt snapped.
I'm started crying! Not because leo use profanity to me, because of that word he used– FATHER.
does he knows anything??!?
"I'm done." I announced before heading towards my bedroom.
"Ara, relax! just relax!!" I assured myself. I lay down on my bed and I don't even notice I fall asleep.
On the next day I tried my best to ignore that monkey.
"Ara we have to go to your orientation today. It's a last minute plan so please get ready." Uncle suddenly said during breakfast.
"Okay.." I said and after finishing my breakfast I took a shower and get ready. Everything is so messy outside. The environment is filled with awkwardness.
Nobody is talking about yesterday, even leo looking so cool like nothing happened!
I attended orientation along with uncle and aunt. Just me, only me! No other single child is there.
After orientation they buyed my uniform and my brand new books. Ones again I saw someone who is familiar to me! I ignored this time also and headed towards the parking lot.
What happens Tomorrow I just want to see.
I know I'm the sister of bad luck but still..
Please planets be with me!!! I'm nervous as well as happy for my new life starting from Tommorow.
