Chapter 613 - Chapter 613: The Dragon Phoenix Origin Fruit!

Chapter 613: The Dragon Phoenix Origin Fruit!

Under Wu Tian's explanation, Qing Lin quickly grasped the purpose of their journey and curiously analyzed the situation.

"Hmm!"

Wu Tian had anticipated this reaction, nodding slightly.

"Let's go!"

With that, they pressed on deeper into the seemingly endless forest...

As they stepped into a particular area, everyone suddenly noticed that the surrounding aura had completely vanished.

Their expressions changed slightly as they sensed an overwhelming yet fleeting presence of ferocious energy.

Qing Lin tensed, her face filled with caution as she asked, "What was that? That aura just now... it was incredibly strong!"

"Don't worry, it won't cause any trouble."

Wu Tian gently patted Qing Lin's head, his voice filled with warmth.

To outsiders, Qing Lin was a merciless demoness, but in front of him, she was still the timid little sister from before.

Perhaps it was this innate contrast that made Wu Tian particularly protective of her.

After all, a single strong willed woman in his life was enough if every woman around him were the same, wouldn't that lead to utter chaos?

The group soon arrived at a clearing, a vast stretch of lush green grass, standing in stark contrast to the dense medicinal fields they had passed through.

However, the emptiness of the area only confirmed its significance just as kings stand alone, while the masses flock together, true treasures were never found in crowded places.

Zi Yan and Feng Qing'er gracefully descended from the treetops, their steps landing lightly upon the grass.

The moment their palms extended forward, a golden glow flickered into existence in the empty air before them.

"This is..."

Mu Qingluan's eyes widened in shock.

"A Beast Spirit Barrier! Only a truly powerful magical beast, upon its death, can leave behind such a phenomenon."

She took a deep breath and continued, "I never expected to find a Beast Spirit Barrier here... This means that the force calling to Zi Yan and Qing'er belongs to a deceased magical beast!"

"But..." Mu Qingluan hesitated, frowning in confusion.

"Why would this aura attract both a Taixu Ancient Dragon and a Heavenly Demon Phoenix at the same time?"

Wu Tian's lips curved into a knowing smile.

"Because this place contains traces of two different bloodlines."

Feng Qing'er's beautiful eyes widened in realization. "Wu Tian gege is right! There are both Taixu Ancient Dragon and Heavenly Demon Phoenix bloodline remnants here! But..."

Her voice faltered as she focused intently on the aura before them.

"This Phoenix aura is different... It's purer... More ancient..."

Zi Yan's eyes sparkled as she suddenly exclaimed, "It's an Ancient Sky Phoenix! I can't believe this bloodline still exists here! Qing'er, this is an incredible opportunity for you!"

Though their respective clans were eternal rivals, their bond as sisters was far more meaningful.

Between them, there was no hostility only shared excitement.

And, of course...

They wouldn't dare fight when standing beside a certain man who commanded absolute authority.

"The Beast Spirit Barrier can only be broken by those of the same bloodline..."

Before anyone could react

"Crack!"

Wu Tian casually waved his hand, effortlessly shattering the barrier and revealing a doorway.

"Wu Tian gege, you're too brutal!" Zi Yan pouted playfully.

"Oh? You should have said something sooner."

Wu Tian replied indifferently, already stepping forward. The others quickly followed.

Behind them, the four elders and other disciples of the Cai Lin Pavilion wisely remained outside.

Some secrets were not meant for everyone to witness.

Even though Wu Tian trusted them, they knew better than to overstep.

The less they knew, the safer they would be.

Upon entering the space, the scenery shifted drastically.

A vast desolate plain stretched before them, its soil a deep gray red, as if drenched in ancient blood.

At the center of the plain stood a massive altar, at least a hundred meters tall, exuding a faint yet overwhelming presence.

The pressure radiating from the altar made everyone's Dou Qi tremble, but

"Whoosh!"

A red energy barrier suddenly enveloped them, shielding them from the oppressive force.

Mu Qingluan inhaled sharply. "What a terrifying aura..."

Even feeling it from a distance had been enough to make their Dou Qi stagnate.

What kind of terrifying existence had left this aftershock?

Zi Yan and Feng Qing'er ignored the pressure completely, their gazes locked onto the stone altar.

The next moment, their figures vanished, moving swiftly toward it.

Wu Tian and the others quickly followed, arriving at the altar moments later.

And then

Everyone froze in shock.

At the center of the altar stood a golden purple stone pedestal.

Within the pedestal's hollow core, a tiny sapling grew, its delicate vines twisting like a dragon's body.

At the very top of this sapling

Hung a single, resplendent golden purple fruit.

"That's... the Dragon Phoenix Origin Fruit?!"

The group stared in disbelief.

Upon the surface of the fruit, two tiny creatures could be seen

One was a miniature Taixu Ancient Dragon, coiled majestically around the fruit's side.

The other was a Heavenly Demon Phoenix, its wings outstretched in an elegant pose.

However

Unlike Feng Qing'er's clan, this Phoenix appeared even nobler its body exuding a primordial aura, unlike the modern Heavenly Demon Phoenix bloodline.

The sight of the legendary Dragon Phoenix Origin Fruit left everyone speechless.

How had Wu Tian known about this fruit's existence in the ruins?

Even Cai Lin and Zi Yan were stunned.

After all, the only known information about the Dragon Phoenix Origin Fruit came from years ago back in the Black Corner Region.

That had been long before they met Wu Tian.

So how had he from the distant Central Plains already known about it?

The only logical explanation...

Was that he had been here before.

But that was impossible.

This ruin had been sealed for countless years.

Unless

Was this ruin... his doing?

Cai Lin's heart shuddered.

And then, she remembered

The Heavenly Demon Puppets.

Could it be that this long deceased Dou Sheng was yet another of Wu Tian's old acquaintances?

Perhaps...

Another one of his "Little Tian" nicknames?

Except... this one was dead.

Even after spending so many years together, she realized

She still didn't fully understand this man.

Her own husband...

Was a mystery beyond comprehension.

Zi Yan, however, had no patience for overthinking.

Her eyes sparkled with excitement, and she practically bounced in place.

"It's real! It's real! You weren't lying after all, Wu Tian gege!"
