Chapter 206 - 206. Not so deserted

Teveli had just stepped out of the small hut, because when nature calls the hegin, the hegin has no choice but to listen to the call. He just didn't expect that when he went back to the hut, he would feel someone's eyes on him. The youngest Teike descendant of the Koál tribe had always easily sensed when someone was watching him, so he realized that someone was watching him now. That's why he immediately turned around and glared at the stranger.

The first thing Teveli noticed about the man was that the stranger was wearing clothes in the same style as him and the group, the second was that based on his appearance, the man was at least three stars strong. And the last thing was that behind the stranger was a group of nyiumgyi, who seemed to have no intention of hurting the man.

This was one of the reasons why Teveli immediately caught himself and ran into the small hut, but he slammed the door behind him so that everyone was startled. Which of course resulted in poor Teveli being scolded for giving everyone a heart attack. In vain he tried to tell them what he had seen. He only finally got to speak when Razvan motioned for everyone to be quiet.

"You say you saw someone out there?" Asked the leader of the Athamanas, whereupon the ghost summoner began to nod his head.

"Yes, and there was a group of nyiumgyi on his heels, but he didn't run away from them..." Teveli hadn't even finished the last sentence when there was a knock on the door of the small hut. The group inside turned as one towards the wooden structure.

Kamu immediately went into assassin mode and raised his index finger to his mouth, then nodded at Razvan, who returned the gesture. That was enough for the ghost-man to take on his ghost form and disappear from the sight of the living. Razvan, meanwhile, stretched himself and walked to the door and opened it with one hand clasped on his sword.

"Good morning! Oh, there are more than one of you." The stranger blinked in the door. "May I know what you are doing in my hut?" The man asked, when Kamu appeared behind him and held a dagger to his throat.

"Who are you and how did you end up on the island?" Ishán of the Immortal Mist asked in a serious voice. The stranger swallowed hard and his eyes widened when he felt the blade at his throat.

"My name is Llyr, I am the Foreign Minister of Oltyhar and..." The man began his answer, narrowing his eyes, and Kamu immediately took the blade from his throat.

"You came from Oldüjár? What is an undersea-walker doing on Cannibal Island?" The ghost-man asked coldly and narrowing his eyes, as if expecting the stranger to lie to him.

"I can ask the same thing, what are you doing here? It's not strange that I'm here at all! I've been coming here for centuries. I just don't usually find living people on the mountaintop." Llyr's courage came for a few moments, but when Kamu raised his dagger, he got frightened again. The Foreign Minister of the undersea-walkers was not exactly used to being threatened with a blade.

"We are looking for a way under the sea. Now will you tell me what you are doing here?" Razvan asked the question in a much kinder tone, and with that he managed to make Llyr turn towards him.

"I'm studying the nyiumgi." The undersea-walker said proudly and even pulled himself out.

"Studying?" Rahul stuck his head out of the hut over Razvan's shoulder. The hegin who grew up in the west had a look of pure incomprehension on his face and looked at the new figure as if he had grown another head.

"Yes." Llyr gave a slightly uncertain answer. "I mean, I'm more of an experimenter. Why do you want to go under the sea?" He asked, looking at Razvan and Kamu.

"We were sent from Floating Air Barracks to investigate the cause of the strange sea movements. That's our mission." Citar suddenly spoke up as his head appeared over Razvan's other shoulder.

"Oh, you're from Floating Barracks school. Why didn't you go through the passage?" The undersea-walkers' foreign minister scratched his head.

"Believe me, we tried, but they wouldn't let us through." Kamu rolled his eyes.

"They wouldn't let you through? Interesting." Llyr pondered. "The full lockdown wasn't supposed to start until next week." He held his chin. "What could have happened in Oltyhar that they brought it forward?" The man asked, but even the idiot knew he wasn't waiting for an answer to the question.

"Either way, we need to get under the sea and now that the gentleman is here, we also know that we can actually get down and it wasn't in vain that we came to Cannibal Island. So the gentleman could really show us where to go down." Kamu grinned too.

"But I've only just arrived here!" Llyr became bitter.

"When would you go back?" Razvan surprised everyone present with his question.

"In three days. I still have one day to get back to Oltyhar from the Black Coral Mountain." The inquisitive minister explained.

"Then what would you say if we followed you on your way back? We really wouldn't be a burden to you." Razvan smiled kindly.

"Well, I really couldn't take strangers down..." Llyr began, but when Kamu started playing with his dagger he swallowed hard. "But I think I can make an exception this time." He finished the sentence, then took a deep breath, as if trying to compose himself. "May I know who my guests are for the weekend?" He asked, thanks to which Razvan stepped out of the hut and offered him his hand.

"I'm Zaukán Razvan, call me Razvan. We are hegins from beyond the Karrabata." He said, which made Llyr blink.

"I've never met hegins before." He noted. "It's an honor." He nodded. After Razvan, the Athamanas introduced themselves one by one to the undersea-walker, and after them Tele Tete and Physalis Alkekengi also made their introductions, so that only the two assassins of the Mist remained.

"I am Szotradoki Ajtony. I would shake your hand, but believe me, you don't want to try it out." The poison-mixing sword ghost chuckled. Thanks to his words, the undersea-walker researcher swallowed again.

"I understand." He nodded firmly, then turned to the last figure. "And you?" He asked the question, still looking worriedly at the dagger in the ghost-man's hand. However, the weapon was quickly put away, as Kamu stuck it in his belt, then stepped in front of the foreign minister and with that edge of a smile on his lips, he extended his hand towards him.

"The owner of Floating Barrack's, at your service, I'm Mukei Vietryk." As soon as these words left Kamu's lips, poor Llyr immediately began to tremble. For a few moments, he just stared at the figure that formed the basis of horror stories, then timidly accepted the hand extended towards him. "Ah, I guess, you've heard about me. Don't worry, I don't bite." Kamu said, but when the undersea-walker exhaled the trapped air, he and Ajtonny continued at the same time.

"Big." And with that, the two assassins managed to make Oldüjár's foreign minister faint in fear.
