After their painting session was over, Belle had woken up in their chamber alone, and when she had asked, she had been told Rohan had gone out without saying where he was going to anyone. She had wanted to see the finishing of the painting, but when she went back to the art room, that particular painting of her was not in the room. He had probably hidden it like he had said he would.
And for some reason, she was relieved to know that a painting of her with nothing on was not left on display in the room like the others, despite the fact that she was dead curious about the finishing.
She spent the evening of the day anticipating his return, but even after the sunset, he wasn't back. She stood on the front porch, pacing the space as a form of exercise, as whenever she sat too long in one place, her back and legs ached terribly, and the doctor had advised that she walk around as much as she could manage.
