Inside Belle's room in the Dawson's house, where Lady Louisiana was knocking from outside, Rohan muttered a curse as he took the rope from Rav and began to tie the imposter to the bed swiftly. His voice was low but sharp when he told Evenly,
"Keep them out however you can manage. We can't afford to let them meet the imposter before my wife returns."
Even before Evenly could reply, the struggling imposter, who was being held down on the bed by Rav, opened her mouth, intending to scream so the people outside, those they didn't want her to meet, could hear and come in to help her. She didn't care what kind of life she would live as long as she owned the body and remained alive. If she had to expose the truth that the vampires were planning to kill her, she would do it. As long as someone outside believed her, she could keep this stupid girl's body forever and find some way to run away with it, where they would never find her.
