Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Upon hearing the Word.

"Master"

Immediately Ramos blinked rapidly, his vision started getting clearer, he thought he was inside a mention, waiting for his Judgment.

But seeing it properly now he was in a forest—but not like any forest he had ever known.

There were no towering timbers or dense undergrowth. Instead, the trees were strange, their leaves shimmering faintly, releasing a fragrance so sweet it almost made him dizzy.

The air was alive with sounds—the chirping of birds, the rustling of small creatures moving through the underbrush. But something was off.

He wasn't just hearing the sounds.

He could see them clearly.

Each chirp, each rustle formed an image in his mind—clear, vivid, as if he had eyes everywhere. And yet, what disturbed him most was that the animals—the birds, the rabbits—were keeping their distance. Far away. Watching, but he could still see them.

'What the hell is this?'

Ramos freaked out in his head. His pulse quickened. Just as panic set in, a voice called out, sharp and urgent.

"Master!"

Another call.

"Master Ramos!"

At that moment his head snapped toward the voice direction.

Through the trees, a figure approached.

A woman, no not just any woman.

She was young, stunning beyond words—so beautiful that for a moment, he wondered if he was looking at a goddess.

Her beauty was unlike anything he had ever seen in his life.

He thought his mother was a goddess, that was the real his step father got married to her undermining she had a son before, but this particular lady was

10 times better than his mother.

Her hair was a striking shade of red, flowing down to her back like silk. She wore a red crop top that revealed her smooth, fair stomach, and a matching red mini skirt.

But something was off.

The fabric of her outfit—Ramos had never seen anything like it. It didn't look like the clothes from his world. There was something unnatural about the material, something strange.

And why were tiny diamonds scattered all over the fabric, glistening like stars?

At that moment the woman stepped closer, her voice carrying an urgency that sent shivers down his spine.

"Master!"

The moment she spoke again, Ramos felt a sudden shock explode inside his head.

It was like lightning striking his brain—searing pain, unbearable and relentless.

Then a scream tore from his throat as he clutched his head, his vision started blurring.

His knees buckled, and he would have collapsed if not for the girl rushing forward and catching him in her embrace.

Immediately tears spilled down her cheeks as she held him tightly, her voice trembling.

"Master Ramos!

Master Ramos!"

But the pain didn't stop. It surged, wave after wave, consuming him.

With desperation flashing in her eyes, the girl lifted her hand and activated a spell.

At that moment a brilliant green light enveloped the entire area, its glow pulsing like a heartbeat. The moment it touched him, the unbearable agony in Ramos' head began to fade, dissolving like mist in the morning sun.

A few moments later, Ramos regained himself. His breathing was now steadied, his vision cleared, and the pain that had nearly torn his mind apart finally faded.

What he had just experienced wasn't random pain—it was memories.

Not his own.

The memories of the body he now possessed.

It all made sense now. He had died in his previous world. But instead of going to heaven as he had expected, God had brought him to this world, placing him inside the body of a Primordial Vampire Lord.

Perhaps, just like in his past life, this vampire lord had been betrayed—betrayed by his own subordinates and ultimately slain by a demon.

His body had been destroyed, shattered into countless pieces. His enemies must have believed that was the end of him.

But they were wrong, little did they know that before his death, the vampire lord had cast a powerful spell—one that preserved a small fragment of his existence. A tiny spark of life had survived.

That fragment was this body.

A mere teenage form, stripped of its former strength.

It had been nothing more than a shell—an empty vessel without consciousness—because the spell had been incomplete. The vampire lord's desperate attempt to preserve himself had nearly failed.

Nearly.

But now, things had changed.

Ramos had taken over this body, bringing with him his own soul, his own consciousness.

And now, this body would no longer go to waste.

"Master Ramos, I just can't believe you are alive!!"

The woman—Cecilia—wrapped Ramos tightly in her embrace, her arms trembling as she clung to him. Ramos could feel the warmth of her body pressing against him, but his thoughts were elsewhere.

'One year.'

Today marked exactly one year since he had died.

He wasn't just a vampire lord. He was the balance of this world, the force that kept the realm stable—the being everyone here once worshiped as a god.

His presence alone had kept the gates of hell sealed.

But now, with his death, the balance had crumbled.

For an entire year, this world had likely been suffering. Strange gates must have begun opening, spewing out horrors that had long been trapped behind the veil.

And this was only the beginning.

It would get worse.

It would continue—until the strongest demons clawed their way out.

Until the demon king himself returned.

The same monster who had killed him.

The same monster who had slaughtered his disciples.

He had managed to kill the demon before he died.

But there was a problem.

What he had slain was only half of the demon's existence. The first half. The second half still lurked in hell, waiting. And once the gates absorbed enough energy, it would break free.

If that happened, this world would be over.

"Doomed."

Unfortunately for him, because his resurrection spell had failed to fully complete, his power was only at one percent.

Just one percent.

The good news was that it would grow. His strength would gradually return.

The bad news?

It would take a month.

And if he had to wait a month for his power to recover while the gates kept growing stronger…

This world might not survive that long.

"Master Ramos!"

At that moment Cecilia's voice snapped him back to reality.

Ramos finally looked at her—really looked at her.

That was when he noticed something.

Her whole body was pressed against his.

His face instantly turned red.

Before he could even open his mouth to say something, Cecilia spoke first.

"I have to inform the others."
