Chapter 254 - Chapter 254: The Shameless Asura God

Chapter 254: The Shameless Asura God

At that moment, far away in the Divine Realm, the Asura God sensed that Tang Chen's consciousness was about to awaken, and he immediately grew anxious. His carefully nurtured Tang San was proving to be a disappointment, still unready to inherit the divine position. That meant Tang Chen absolutely could not regain his clarity!

Without hesitation, the Asura God secretly channeled the accumulated evil aura of the City of Slaughter centuries of condensed malevolent energy and poured it all into Tang Chen's body through the domain.

In an instant, the Tang Chen who had been on the verge of regaining his consciousness was once again thrown into a berserk frenzy, this time completely consumed by the overwhelming evil aura. And now, even the Seagod's purification power was ineffective.

Because the despicable Asura God had mixed his own divine power into the evil aura, completely nullifying the Seagod's purification effect and even further amplifying Tang Chen's strength.

On Tang Chen's forehead, the blood red sword shaped mark glowed ominously, its light growing from dim to blindingly intense. A crimson aura enveloped his entire body, forming a layer of sinister radiance that completely blocked out the divine light of the Seagod Trident.

Bo Saixi, who had been certain of her victory, now looked on in shock. She could clearly sense that the once weakening evil energy within Tang Chen was now growing at an exponential rate, surging endlessly as if there was no limit.

The blood red, sinister glow overflowed from his body, slowly forcing back the golden radiance of the Seagod Trident.

Impossible!

That was the divine purifying light of the Seagod Trident!

Bo Saixi was utterly baffled. Even though she was merely borrowing the Sea God's power and would revert to her normal state once it was depleted, for now, she was undoubtedly wielding the power of a true god.

Yet somehow, the divine light of the Seagod couldn't break through Tang Chen's eerie crimson aura. What was going on? Her confidence wavered slightly, but she knew she couldn't allow him to continue growing stronger.

She had to strike first!

At this point, there was no room for hesitation. If she waited any longer, it would be her life on the line.

Bo Saixi slowly leveled the Seagod Trident forward until it was parallel to the ground. Soul rings materialized around her as she merged with her martial soul, and then like a lightning fast arrow she shot forward, thrusting the trident straight at Tang Chen's chest.

As she charged, the engravings on the trident's shaft rippled like waves, radiating from the end of the long handle to the central prong. The tip of the blade flared like a miniature sun, releasing an intense golden burst of energy.

Her body and the trident became one. She used no complex techniques, no fancy maneuvers she didn't need them. With the full power of the Sea God at her disposal, she didn't need strategy; sheer force was enough.

Bo Saixi's spiritual energy and the divine aura of the Seagod Trident had completely locked onto Tang Chen. She funneled every ounce of the Sea God's power into this single, decisive strike.

Her goal: end it in one blow.

But instead of retreating, the fully corrupted Tang Chen let out a bloodcurdling laugh. His dark red eyes gleamed with murderous intent, and his long, blood colored hair whipped through the air like writhing tentacles. His face contorted into a nightmarish grimace.

Behind him, a blood red spectral figure flickered an ominous manifestation of slaughter itself. With the Asura God's power protecting him, he was completely unfazed by the Seagod Trident's lock on.

A crimson light burst from his palms, condensing into an enormous blood red greatsword over two meters long.

Laughing maniacally, Tang Chen gripped the sword with both hands and charged forward instead of dodging. His entire body was enveloped in seething red energy as he swung the massive sword upward in a devastating arc to meet the incoming trident.

Boom!!!

Gold and crimson clashed in an earth shattering explosion.

A massive wave of energy burst outward. Though its range was only about 300 meters in diameter, within that area, everything plants, rocks, even the very earth completely vanished. Not burned to ash. Not shattered. Just… erased.

A deep crater, 300 meters wide and over 100 meters deep, was all that remained.

No dust, no debris just a perfectly clear abyss. Within it, the once radiant golden light of the Seagod had dimmed, while the foul blood red energy still raged fiercely.

In the battle between the powers of the Asura God and the Seagod, Asura had won.

After all, Asura's strength was at the level of a God King, while the Seagod was merely a First Class God. The gap in divine authority was too vast to overcome.

And in this place the City of Slaughter Tang Chen had the home field advantage.

A Seagod losing here? It wasn't even surprising.

Bo Saixi's body was flung violently backward by the explosion, smashing into the far side of the crater. She crashed into the stone wall with such force that her body carved out a deep cavity several meters wide before the impact finally dissipated.

Despite the divine protection of the Seagod, she had suffered catastrophic injuries. Almost every bone in her body was shattered, and her internal organs had nearly turned to pulp. If not for the lingering Seagod energy keeping her alive, she would have died the moment they clashed.

Even so, she was barely hanging on her breath weak, her body broken, her strength completely drained. She could do nothing but weakly open her eyes and watch as the monstrous, blood soaked figure of Tang Chen strode toward her.

Raising his massive blood red sword, he prepared to strike the final blow.

So this is how I die… at your hands…

Bo Saixi chuckled bitterly in her heart. It was ironic.

She had fought her way back from death, crossed thousands of miles from the ocean to the mainland, all in hopes of reuniting with him. Yet upon arrival, she found him corrupted, lost to evil, unrecognizable.

She had fought to purify him, only to end up sacrificing herself instead.

Perhaps… this was fate…

A weary sigh echoed in her thoughts. As her life flashed before her eyes, she realized her entire existence had been dedicated to others. She had never truly lived a single day for herself.

Even after being given a second chance at life, she had risked everything for love, only to meet this cruel end.

How ironic.

Sighing again, she slowly closed her eyes, waiting for the inevitable.

This time… no one would save her.

"Clang !"

A piercing metallic clash rang out.

Like an electric jolt through her dying body, Bo Saixi struggled to open her eyes. Her vision was blurry, unfocused, but she could just barely make out a figure standing before her a silhouette clad in white, sword raised.

"Who…?"

"They look… familiar…"

Her thoughts grew sluggish. Darkness clouded her mind.

And then she lost consciousness.
