Chapter 94 - chapter 92 4Years later

The room was steeped in a dim, murky light. A faint breeze wafted in through the window, making the curtains sway softly. Alia sat at her desk, sifting through old files—remnants of her past self. At one corner of the table, an envelope lay discarded, and at first, she paid it no mind.

But then, her eyes fixated on it. The envelope was old, and her name, "Alia," was written on it in shimmering ink.

Slowly, Alia reached out and picked up the envelope. For a moment, she just stood there, as if she knew what was inside, but was afraid to find out.

Finally, she opened it.

A single white sheet of paper. A few words, yet they seemed to cry out with emotion.

"I will see you in a day.

Don't think I've forgotten… I was just silent.

Viktor"

Alia clutched the paper tightly. Her eyes went blank, and no sound escaped her lips… yet her breathing grew heavy, and a tremor ran through her.

Alia (whispering softly): "Viktor… are you still… alive?"

She rose from her chair and walked over to the window. In the moonlight, her shadow fell across the floor.

Maria entered the room, a cup of coffee in her hand. But she stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the paper in Alia's hand.

Maria (in a hushed tone): "…A letter?"

Alia (slowly, without turning her eyes): "Yes… He's coming. Tomorrow…"

Maria said nothing, knowing that this meeting would not just be a reunion—it would be the day Alia's fate was decided.

"Tomorrow… past and present will meet.

Will she choose love, or the war within?"

The Road to Viktor's Safehouse

Scene: Road to Viktor's Safehouse – Night

Alia sat in her black Ferrari 812 Superfast. The roar of the engine seemed to echo the fire within her. The old mask of the Mafia Godmother was back on her face, but her eyes held a strange softness.

Lightning flashed across the sky. The road was slick with rain, but she didn't slow down. She drove at a blistering pace—towards Viktor.

Scene: Viktor's Safehouse Gate – Continuous

At the end of a winding mountain road stood a white stone house. The surroundings were shrouded in darkness, with motion sensor lights flickering on and off.

Alia's car screeched to a halt in front of a massive steel gate. The gate remained shut.

Two large bodyguards, masked and fully armed, stood in front of her.

Bodyguard 1 (in a grave voice): "I don't know you. You don't have permission to enter here."

Alia slowly removed her gloves and stepped out of the car. Her eyes held a cold fire, and her voice was laced with confidence.

Alia (in a cold voice): "By the time you find out who I am, it'll be too late, kid. Tell Viktor—the Godmother has arrived."

Bodyguard 2 (in a mocking tone): "Well, then tell her he's chosen the wrong time—Mr. Viktor isn't seeing anyone right now."

Alia was silent for a moment. Then, she slowly pulled a silenced Beretta from under her blazer.

Alia (coldly): "I waited 4 years for Viktor. Today… a gate will stop me?"

Bodyguard 1 flinched, readying himself, but then…

Voice from the Intercom (from inside): "…Let her in."

All eyes turned to the intercom. It was Viktor's voice. The bodyguards froze. Slowly, the gate began to open.

Alia lowered her head and started walking inside.

The Reunion

Scene: Viktor's Safehouse – Front Hall – Night

Alia entered slowly. She wore a thin, flowing black dress that resembled a nightgown. Water from the wet road dripped from her heels onto the floor. Lightning occasionally flashed through the window, catching the glint in her eyes.

But what she saw next… stopped her breath for a moment.

Cut to: Viktor's Appearance – Revealed

Viktor stood far away, in the middle of a vast living room. His face was devoid of expression, his eyes filled with a silent solemnity.

His hair now reached down to his waist—it was a silvery-white, as if a snowstorm had touched him.

His eyes—a sky blue, and his eyelashes and eyebrows—were as white as frost.

After so long, Viktor's face looked as serene as an angel's, yet within that peace was a terrifying darkness.

Alia knew—this man was her husband, her past, her love, and the heir to a Ukrainian-Russian legend.

She knew—behind this face was the old war that had broken Viktor, but not killed him.

Scene: Viktor's Safehouse – Main Hall – Continuous

Alia slowly walked through the doorway. Her eyes fell on Viktor—who was standing with a bloodied knife in his hand.

He grabbed the man by the throat and then, suddenly—

"Crunch!"

Viktor slit the man's throat with the knife, tearing it to shreds. Blood gushed out, splattering all over the floor.

Alia's eyes widened, and her heart pounded in her chest. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.

Alia (in a slight, shaky voice): "You… are you doing this?"

Viktor didn't reply, he just looked at her with a cold, blank stare.

Scene: Viktor's Safehouse – Main Hall – Moments After

Viktor slowly advanced toward Alia. He took his blood-soaked hand and pinned her against the wall. Alia's eyes widened, her chest tightening.

With that bloody hand, Viktor touched Alia's face. His cold lips exhaled a soft breath on her neck.

Alia (in a light, shaky whisper): "Viktor… why are you doing this?"

An eerie darkness flickered in Viktor's eyes. He spoke very slowly:

Viktor (in a cold voice): "This blood… is now only for you. No one else exists for me, Alia."

Viktor slowly reached for her throat, then suddenly dropped the bloodied knife to the floor. His eyes were a strange mix of emotion and ferocity.

Viktor abruptly pulled Alia into a tight embrace. She was shocked for a moment, then her lips met his—a soft, gentle kiss.

It was a kiss between two lost lovers whose distance had not been erased over the years.

Alia (whispering): "You are the biggest deception of my life, Viktor."

Viktor smiled faintly, then slowly kissed Alia's forehead.

Viktor (in a soft voice): "Yet, I can't live without you…"
