Chapter 98 - chapter96 "The Silent Moment"

Scene – Present Day

Location: Bedroom

Lighting: Soft, warm light

Sound: Quiet breathing, occasional rustle of the curtain swaying in the wind

Alia and Victor sit across from each other, eyes locked—between them float the warm reflections of the moments they've left behind.

A moment of silence. No words spoken. Only the sound of breathing and the soft rustle of the curtain moving with the breeze.

Alia (in a soft voice):

"Do you ever wonder… if those days really happened?"

Victor (with a faint smile):

"I believe if they hadn't, we wouldn't be sitting here now."

Alia (exhaling slowly):

"That old library… that shadowy corner… I can still see it clearly."

Victor:

"So can I. Every time you smile, I'm back in those afternoons again."

Alia slowly takes Victor's hand.

Victor gently kisses her forehead.

Alia (whispering):

"Time froze there… and sometimes, it still does—when you look at me like that."

Victor (with deep tenderness in his eyes):

"Because we're not just a story of the past… we're writing the present and the future too."

Scene – Rainy Day (Past Memory)

Location: Rooftop of an old building, cloudy sky Moscow Russia

Sound: Heavy rain, distant thunder

Lighting: Gray sky, raindrops gliding down Alia's face

Scene opens slowly—

Rain pours relentlessly. Alia stands in one corner of the rooftop—her wet hair plastered to her forehead.

She's holding a gun.

Tears and raindrops mingle on her cheeks—indistinguishable.

Victor stands in front of her.

His clothes are bloodstained. A gunshot wound on his left shoulder—but no fear on his face.

Alia (trembling voice, slowly):

"I remember… that rainy day.

I was standing on the rooftop…

There was a gun in my hand.

You were bleeding, your clothes torn…

And still, you stood right there in front of me.

I had the gun aimed at you…

And you…

There wasn't an ounce of fear in your eyes."

Victor (breaking the silence, calm voice):

"Because I knew…

You wouldn't shoot me."

Alia (eyes downcast, whispering):

"I couldn't…

You wanted me to see the truth.

But by then… I had already lost so much."

Victor:

"You didn't lose, Alia.

You just opened your eyes.

And from that day, we truly started seeing each other."

Sound: The rain begins to ease.

Camera: Slowly pans—Alia lowers the gun.

Victor steps forward.

Alia breaks down in tears, and Victor embraces her.Scene Cut – Back to Present

And I still do."

Alia and Victor walk hand in hand.

A couple of bodyguards trail behind them, alert eyes scanning their surroundings.

Dim street lights and neon signs flicker behind them.

Alia suddenly leans her head on Victor's shoulder, smiling:

"You know, I'm the Godmother… and you're my Mafia Lord."

Victor smirks:

"You're right—we're the king and queen of this city.

And in this kingdom, no one survives without us."

A maid stands near the door, startled, wanting to enter—

But no one stops her.

Alia (clutching her chest, crying):

"Will I ever get you back?

Dad... Mom… my brothers and sisters…

What is this life without you?"

Victor bangs the door from outside, trying to get in.

Alia stops him, hiding her face, crying harder.

Victor (softly):

"Alia, I'm here… you're not alone.

We'll face everything together."

Alia doesn't respond—just weeps harder.

Scene ends:

Victor sits beside her, tears in his eyes.

He kisses her forehead, silently offering strength.Setting: Moscow, Russia – Present DaySilent Transition"

"I've lived through three lives.

Now I'm in the fourth—

No room for mistakes.

I'm no longer that naive diplomat… or CIA agent.

Now, I'm… the Godmother."

"Are you sure?

Alia (cold tone):

"I'm sure.

Because whoever I give a port to… breathes with my permission."

"And if someone doesn't follow your word?"

Victor presses a device under the table.

A massive explosion is seen outside—the Turks' warehouse blows up.

Alia (screaming through sobs):

"Where did you all go…?

Everything I've become… it came from emptiness.

I became strong for you…

But I still break down..."

The maid quietly places a cup of tea nearby.

She too stands silently, tears in her eyes.

Victor walks in, holds Alia's hand, kneels beside her.

Alia (grinning, playful challenge):

"If you lose, you're cooking dinner tonight."

Victor:

He signals back—"Try catching me!"

They both pull up at the next turn—together.

Raise their hands in mock victory.

"We tied!"

Victor (laughing):

"Then we're both cooking dinner."

Alia (winking):

"And dessert? That's outside the kitchen."

They step out of the cars.

In the snow, they hold each other tight.
