1 year went by.
During that time, I've had my own share of memories and enjoyment.
Today is a day of importance.
The Renowned Entrance Examination of Immanuel Academy.
Entrance exam is an infamous arc that appears in almost every fantasy manhwa. The day where the protagonist and side characters gather and compete. There will also be the event that the protagonist shock everyone with any of his overwhelming ability.
The moment I arrived at the center of examination, what met my eyes were the abundance of students gathered.
When I walked in some gazes are directed at me as I am a prodigy that are always the mouth of conversations. Attentions were focused on me and a few other people.
The side characters. I'll introduce them one by one when I see them.
I looked around as I'm walking, to see if I can recognize any if the faces I saw on the tablet the angel gave me.
Surely enough, I've noticed one already. On my far right a student with blonde long hair, tall stature and redeeming face.
She is an easily noticable person.

Name: Romanov Seraphine
Background: From the Romanov Family. The head is known to be the right hand man of the King Percival akin to a Grand Duke. She is easily the one with the highest family background here. Typical blonde nobel in medias. Nice, reserved and innocent.
Story: One of the significant side character in the novel. A genius in Magic. Love interest of the Protagonist. Places 2/3 in the exam.

Noticed the word Emperor? You might think this country runs on monarchy.
Yes and No. The country is ran on Constitutional Monarchy. The government is split into Monarchy and Parliament. With the Parliament running on Democracy, with the power of ruling the country is heavily based on the Monarchy. But the catch is that, it only goes from the King to the Duke. If I'll display the hierarchy, it'll be as it goes:

Grand Duke/Prime Minister
Duke/Minister
Rest of Parliament
The distribution of power is The King governs the whole country. Then, the country is split to two territory: The Monarchy based and The Democracy based.
Federals ran on Monarchy based are overruled by the Grand Duke with the Dukes running one federal. While Federals ran on Democratic Parliament is headed by the Prime Minister with the Ministers handling each federal. The rest if the parliament however, is scattered around the country managing smaller territory of each federal.
Though, let's just say that the Monarchy has more power than what is practiced on Earth. That's why everyone is the Parliament is practically nobels.
My family, Vivienne belongs to the Democratic Parliament. I've said earlier, my dad has the power akin to the Minister, it's because he is the Minister. Gwen's father? I actually searched his name. He is in the Parliament which actually manages the territory under my Father. What fate it is.
I digressed.
With such a person of background, it is no surprise that she is the center of attention leaving even me behind the dust. Her talent? It's no joke.
Well enough about her. I eyed around again and saw another Character.
Dark blue hair. Height similar to Seraphine and a face that falls slightly short to her. One of the center of attention.

Name: Laurent Evelyn
Background: From the family Laurent. The head of the Guild 'Blues'. His father is the 2nd head of the renowned guild passed from her grandfather. The guild is the leading organization in the Ascendants Industry in another federal. She is talented in both magic and combat albeit not the best.
Story: Rival of Seraphine and the Protagonist. Supposed to be heavily acquinted with Eugene. Places 4/5 in the Exam. A crucial character with lots of information in the Ascendants Industry.

Later in the academy, I'm supposed to be related to her as we are rivals of the main characters. Though, how I choose my path is up to me. I have not much interest in relying on the predetermined story.
But being acquinted to her might be much help. I'm not that reluctant.
Hmm.. two of side characters are found. Now where am the Protagonist and 'him'?
'He' is not supposed to be that eyecatching. But I'll find him for sure. I've memorised his face.

Dark hair. Average height. Ordinary looking.

Name: Louis Isaac
Background: From a normal family. Louis is his Father's name. Originally from Earth. An avid reader of this novel. Has lots of information about this novel. Basically a Protagonist of his own novel.
Story: The reader of this novel. Became a character of this novel possesing an extra with somewhat niche talent. Becomes heavily related with most of the other Characters throughout the story. Places 2nd in the Exam

I've never told this but I'm about to now. This is basically a novel inside a novel. The original novel 'Return of the Prodigy Swordsmage' only included me, the first two characters mentioned and the Protagonist, yet to be seen.
The novel I've been transmigrated to however is not the original work. Instead I'm in the novel 'The Reader's guide of Apocalypse'. A loyal reader of the original work was transmigrated into that novel and became a significant character. He is the Protagonist of the second work.
Since there are now two protagonists. I'll be referring this protagonist as it is. While the other protagonist of the first novel as 'Main Protagonist'.
You must've realised that I put a slash beside the exam placement for Rose and Seraphine. That is due to their different placing in the first and second novel.
Anyhow, he must also be looking around for significant characters. And since he was a complete reader, he must know a lot more character here. While I'm supposed to only know 4 including him. He is a cheat code.
I am thrilled to see him in action. I don't know much about his journey in the novel as I rejected the idea of reading it.
The existence of me must be such an Anomaly in his plan as I've no set action. Even I don't know how I'm going to act in the future so how could he?
Oh and in the original work I placed 3rd but changed to 4 in the second work.
I'm looking around once more..
Sure enough, I spotted the Main Protagonist. The main character in [Return of the Prodigy Swordsmage].
Tall figure but might be a bit shorter than me.
White hair. Striking face as you'd expect in most manhwas.

Name: Julius Thaddeus
Background: From the Julius Family. The current head of Julius is the Duke of a federal in the Monarchy side. Similar authority to mine or might be more powerful. Exceptional talent, especially combined with his previous experience and knowledge before reincarnating into that body.
Story: Main Protagonist.

No further explaination is needed for the Main Protagonist. Thaddeus is such a powerhouse that naturally almost everything goes in his way. Same as the protagonist of power fantasy literacies.
But in the second work, he does have some flaws pointed out due to interference of Isaac. Such as lack of knowledge of cheat items. Naturally that is only known for the Protagonists.
His excellence is proven by the fact that he still placed 1st even when Isaac existed. Or it might be that Isaac deliberately didn't want to place 1st. That's trivial to me.
Alright, I've met all the important characters. Next is to focus on the Entrance Examination.
