Chapter 204 - Chapter 204: Audacious! Traitor Tang San, You Are Doomed to Die

Chapter 204: Audacious! Traitor Tang San, You Are Doomed to Die

Outside the illusion, Han Li was nearly laughing himself to death he admitted, he was being a little unethical.

In Tang San's mind, this was his dream. But in reality? This wasn't a dream at all it was a high level illusion controlled entirely by Han Li.

When he didn't interfere, the scenario progressed based on Tang San's subconscious. But the moment Han Li took over, the administrator rights naturally shifted from Tang San to him.

If Tang San had remained in control, the Buddha Fury Tang Lotus in his hands would have been the real deal fully functional and capable of detonating.

But unfortunately for him, Han Li was now the true controller. So, the so called Buddha Fury Tang Lotus had become nothing more than a lifeless prop not even as effective as a firecracker.

And to make things worse, Han Li had taken full control of the elders generated from Tang San's memories, delivering the ultimate psychological attack

"This was nothing but a dying fantasy of yours."

A devastating phrase, one designed to completely break his opponent's mind.

Judging by Tang San's reaction, the effect was clearly working, though definitely not in his favor.

"No, I'm not wrong. It must be the ancient texts there must be an error in the records. I followed every step of the blueprint exactly!"

"Yes… yes! That must be it!"

Tang San clung to this belief like a drowning man grasping at straws, bursting into crazed laughter. He was the most talented person in Tang Sect's history past, present, and future. Failure was impossible.

"As expected, Tang Yin was right. You're not just a thief you're a lunatic."

Tang Da looked at Tang San with disappointment, shaking his head.

"Tang Yin?"

Tang San froze. Who? He had no recollection of such a person.

"Come forward, Tang Yin. Show him what a real Buddha Fury Tang Lotus looks like. Let him die without regret."

"From this day forth, you will become my personal disciple and gain full access to all Tang Sect techniques."

Tang Da turned toward a seemingly unremarkable gray cloaked outer disciple.

"Yes, Sect Master."

A vaguely familiar voice responded as a figure stepped forward.

Finally, the so called Tang Yin stood before Tang San.

"Father?!"

Tang San blurted out instinctively as he stared at the young man's familiar face.

"I'm not your father. My name is Tang Yin."

Tang Yin's expression twisted in irritation. "Tang San, just because we live in the same quarters doesn't mean you can spout nonsense. We're not close at all. Everyone knows you were picked up off the streets."

Tang San realized his mistake the moment he spoke. This is the Tang Sect. How could Tang Hao be here?

Though, admittedly, Tang Yin did look exactly like a younger Tang Hao…

"Tang Yin, no need to explain. We believe you."

One elder spoke coldly, his eyes filled with open contempt as he gazed at Tang San.

"Yes, even if you were related, he should despise you instead. After all, if you hadn't reported Tang San's treacherous behavior, who knows how much of our sect's secret knowledge he would have leaked!"

Another elder stepped forward, patting Tang Yin's shoulder in praise before turning to sneer at Tang San.

"It was you who reported me?"

Rage erupted in Tang San's heart as he glared at Tang Yin with pure killing intent.

In his past life, he never knew how he had been exposed. Now, in this dream, he had unintentionally uncovered the truth.

In his previous life, he had spent all his time immersed in research, rarely interacting with other outer disciples. He barely even remembered their names.

Now that he thought about it, it must have been one of those lowly, talentless outer disciples jealous of his natural gifts who had ratted him out.

And this Tang Yin? He was the most likely culprit.

Otherwise, why would he dream of someone like this?

His subconscious must have been trying to tell him this Tang Yin was the one who had betrayed him all those years ago!

And why did he look like Tang Hao?

Simple. Because Tang San had an immense admiration for his father. Since he couldn't recall Tang Yin's true appearance, his mind had projected the face of the man he respected most.

Not that it mattered.

A cold, venomous glint flickered in Tang San's eyes.

Even if he could never return, even if this was just an illusion, Tang Yin would die.

"What's wrong? Are you planning to attack him in front of all of us? Do you even have the strength to do so?"

"Or are you planning to use that little toy of yours and hope to make us die laughing?"

An elder stepped protectively in front of Tang Yin, his face filled with mockery.

"Tang Yin, don't be afraid. Show this traitor what a real Buddha Fury Tang Lotus looks like."

"Let him see with his own eyes why you are being promoted to a personal disciple and why you may very well become the next Tang Sect Master."

The elder glanced at Tang San with disdain before gesturing toward the edge of Ghost Cliff.

"Yes, Elder! I, Tang Yin, will forever remember the Sect's kindness and bring honor to the Tang Sect!"

Tang Yin's voice trembled with excitement.

"Good! Good! With Tang Yin, the future of our Tang Sect is bright!"

"Tang Yin, I have high hopes for you! You will be the key to our sect's resurgence!"

One by one, the elders praised him enthusiastically.

The elders all voiced their satisfaction with Tang Yin. Their gazes, however, frequently drifted toward Tang San, though their expressions carried entirely different emotions.

Tang San ignored them, his eyes locked onto Tang Yin's every move.

"Elders, please observe. This is the Buddha Fury Tang Lotus I crafted based on our sect's ancient records."

Under Tang San's intense scrutiny, Tang Yin retrieved from his robe a golden lotus identical to his own so similar that even the engravings matched almost perfectly.

Tang San's eyes widened as he spotted a particular marking on one of the petals. That mark wasn't part of the forging process; it was his personal habit, his unique signature.

"You thief! That Buddha Fury Tang Lotus was stolen from me! My personal mark is right there!"

Tang San shot up from his seat, pointing at the lotus in outrage.

"This is my exclusive mark!"

He raised his own golden lotus high, trying to make everyone see.

"What mark? I don't see anything."

"Why bother arguing with a lunatic? I get it now anytime he sees something impressive, he just claims it as his own. If you bring out another valuable item, I bet he'll say you stole his work."

"Exactly! It's in his nature he's a thief through and through."

"Be careful if you keep talking, he might even claim the words you just said were stolen from him too."

Before Tang Yin even had to respond, the elders had already dismissed Tang San's accusation.

"Tang San, I understand your desperation, but stay calm. This is the Buddha Fury Tang Lotus I meticulously crafted it's nothing like your toy."

Tang Yin finally spoke, delivering a single sentence that sealed the verdict.

"Are you all blind? My mark is right there! It's on every hidden weapon I've ever made!"

Tang San was more furious than ever. The proof was right before their eyes, yet they all pretended not to see. Not a single person believed him.

Tang Yin he was the real thief, the one who had stolen his greatest creation.

"Your mark? Do you have any proof?"

Tang Yin remained composed, looking at Tang San with an expression eerily reminiscent of how Tang San himself had once scrutinized the sect elders.

"What proof do I need? I displayed my Buddha Fury Tang Lotus before you did!"

Tang San was seething, ready to tear Tang Yin apart.

"Just because you showed yours first doesn't mean it's yours. Maybe your toy is just a failed imitation of mine your attempt at recreating something you saw but couldn't fully grasp. Maybe you modified it yourself, only to ruin it completely. That's why you can't even figure out what's wrong with it."

Tang Yin's righteous tone was utterly convincing, and the elders' gazes toward Tang San grew even colder.

So that's why… No wonder his so called Buddha Fury Tang Lotus never exploded it was just a useless trinket.

"You…"

Tang San was shaking with rage when had he ever been humiliated like this?

"Tang San, watch closely I'll demonstrate just once. This is a real Buddha Fury Tang Lotus."

Tang Yin's smile widened as he tossed the golden lotus off the cliff's edge.

Though the lotus was golden, the moment it left his hand, it radiated a deep crimson glow.

That brilliant red came from the core of the Buddha Fury Tang Lotus the ruby like heart of the weapon, shining with dazzling light.

A crisp ding rang through the air.

The explosion of a Buddha Fury Tang Lotus was distinct sharp, yet mesmerizing, like the clash of fine metal.

But that single chime became the focal point of all attention.

In that instant, a golden red vortex of flames erupted, enveloping the entire cliffside.

Even the howling mountain winds stilled, as if making way for its brilliance.

Crack!

Within the swirling inferno, a section of the cliff shattered and crumbled into the abyss below.

"Did you see that, Tang San? This is the true power of the Buddha Fury Tang Lotus."

Tang Yin turned to him, barely able to contain his smug satisfaction.

"It was you. Not only did you betray me, but you stole my Buddha Fury Tang Lotus! Tang Yin, you despicable thief!"

Tang San could suppress his fury no longer he lunged at Tang Yin.

Only by personally killing him could he quell his seething hatred.

"Audacious! Tang San, you traitor! Not only did you steal our sect's techniques, but now you dare attack the future of Tang Sect?!"

"In accordance with Tang Sect law, your death is decreed!"

The moment Tang San moved, four elders burst forward from the crowd. Powerful inner energy surged from their palms, striking toward his vital acupoints from all directions.

Tang San attempted to dodge using Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, but these were Tang Sect elders they knew the technique far better than he did.

In mere moments, one of them had seized Tang San's wrist. With a slight twist

Crack!

His entire left arm was shattered.

Agonizing pain, amplified tenfold, surged through his body. Tang San convulsed violently.

"Aaaghhh!!!"

His agonized screams echoed across the peak of Ghost Cliff, carried far into the night by the wind.
