Chapter 320: The Silver Dragon King Appears
At the bottom of the Lake of Life, in the core region of the Star Dou Forest.
After discussing matters with the other fierce beasts, Di Tian arrived alone, knocking on the barrier of the space where the Silver Dragon King was healing, waiting for her to awaken so he could report everything to his master.
Due to her injuries, the Silver Dragon King had remained in an independent space, sleeping. Even the other fierce beasts had only seen her once or twice, spending most of their time acting as guards in the outer layers.
After a long while, a portal appeared before Di Tian, and a cold, clear female voice echoed from within.
"Come in. It's not time yet, is it? What's happened?"
Di Tian didn't hesitate, stepping in quickly and respectfully bowing in the direction of the voice.
"Master, something unexpected has occurred."
"I was discovered. Not only that, but he knows of your existence. I dared not hide this from you, so I had to wake you early."
"Furthermore, that person claims to be the Plane's Master and has proposed a collaboration with us…"
Di Tian was precise with his words, and in just a few sentences, the Silver Dragon King, who had just awoken, became significantly more alert.
"Oh? Explain in detail."
Silver light flickered through the space as the Silver Dragon King shifted slightly, her interest piqued.
"Yes, Master."
Di Tian's expression grew even more respectful as he recounted everything about his interaction with Han Li, down to the smallest detail.
…
"This man is suspicious. There's no way he could have known of my existence."
The Silver Dragon King didn't interrupt Di Tian, waiting until he had finished before calmly making her statement with absolute certainty.
It was reasonable for him to have learned about Di Tian and the others from that Ice Silkworm, but acquiring information about her from the so called 'Plane's Will' was sheer nonsense.
Since escaping from the Divine Realm, she had taken extreme precautions to hide her presence. Back then, Douluo Planet had no awakened will, so there was no way anyone could have detected her. The fact that this person not only knew of her but was also aware of her identity and condition was a glaring problem.
Di Tian had been too distracted by the other shocking aspects of their conversation. Otherwise, he should have noticed this obvious flaw.
Was this person an agent of the Divine Realm? Or was there another possibility? Even the Silver Dragon King wasn't entirely sure.
Meanwhile, Di Tian, now realizing the oversight after his master's reminder, felt cold sweat soaking his back. He had completely missed it.
"Master, I…"
Di Tian's expression was grim, and he was about to admit his mistake.
"Enough, no need to blame yourself. Since he knows this much, even if you had noticed, he would have found another way to cover it up."
A gentle, silver glow flickered as the female voice interrupted him. Then, a woman appeared in the space.
"Give me the cultivation technique he called 'Xuan Tian Gong' I want to see it."
Her voice carried less authority than before, making Di Tian sigh in relief. He quickly retrieved the technique Han Li had given him.
Without needing to move, a silver light flashed, and the technique vanished from Di Tian's hands, appearing in hers as she flipped it open.
The only sound in the space, filled with vibrant life energy, was the rustling of pages. Di Tian remained standing respectfully at the side, not daring to disturb her.
He had no idea how long had passed perhaps only a moment, or perhaps a long while before the book returned to his hands.
"Interesting. He is most likely the Plane's Master he wasn't lying to you."
The woman wrapped in silver light spoke calmly.
Within this so called technique, she could see traces of rules based cultivation. Though faint, they differed significantly from the rigid methods human soul masters had been using for eons.
Based on Di Tian's account, that human had yet to reach the Titled Douluo stage, which meant he shouldn't have had any access to this kind of knowledge. Even the strongest humans, constrained by the rules of this world, only had a vague understanding of it.
Moreover, the concepts in the technique were exceptionally intricate, spanning multiple disciplines something beyond the capability of mere genius.
Given these factors, the claim that he was the Plane's Master became much more credible.
"Then, Master… should we cooperate with him?"
Di Tian asked cautiously.
"Cooperate? Of course we will. But before that, I must meet him myself."
The silver radiance around the Silver Dragon King dimmed as she fully assumed her human form.
"Use the method he gave you to contact him. Ask where he is we'll go together."
Her voice was soft but carried an undeniable authority. It was clear that her decision was final.
"Yes, Master."
Di Tian immediately straightened his posture, a sense of purpose returning to him.
As for concerns? There were none.
Even heavily injured, his master was still a peak first rank god. If he could freely roam the Douluo Continent, then she certainly had nothing to fear.
Following the Silver Dragon King, Di Tian stepped out of the secluded space. He retrieved the jade token Han Li had left him, inputting a message and waiting for a response.
Admittedly, it was a bit embarrassing aside from when he delivered the soul bones to Han Li, during which Han Li had intentionally left traces of his aura, Di Tian hadn't been able to sense his presence at all.
Tian Dou City, Han Li's new residence.
After sending off the three members of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, Han Li resumed his cultivation. At the moment, his primary focus was analyzing the rules of the world. His physical and spiritual growth was supported by his soul core, and with his ability to directly harness the power of faith to convert it into immortal energy, he didn't need to worry too much about those aspects.
Compared to god trials, creating a divine position from scratch was more challenging in terms of rule comprehension and faith accumulation. However, Han Li lacked neither he only lagged slightly behind the rewards granted by god trials, which provided large percentage based boosts.
Fortunately, he had started studying this long ago, and with the fragmented divinity of the Ice Fire Dragon King that he had absorbed, his progress wasn't slow. It simply required time.
In the middle of his cultivation, he suddenly opened his eyes and glanced at a jade token placed nearby.
This was a special token he had crafted for his close associates most were made from soul bone fragments, except for the one given to Di Tian, which was jade.
Using soul bone fragments had a somewhat provocative implication.
A message?
Han Li stopped cultivating and picked up the token, channeling his spiritual power into it to read the contents.
Upon seeing the message, his eyebrows raised slightly. Oh? The big boss was finally making a move?
He didn't respond immediately, instead taking a moment to think before composing his reply. Di Tian wouldn't know there was a delay in communication anyway, so there was no rush.
Considering that both of them were essentially reclusive "stay at home beasts," Han Li thoughtfully attached a map along with his response. The final destination? The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
After sending his reply, Han Li wasted no time. He stepped out of his room, informed a few people of his departure, and left the residence.
Uncharacteristically, he activated the spatial ability of his Evil God Hook, creating a passageway between the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well and his current location.
Although he had ways to suppress his spatial abilities, he rarely used them.
For him, traversing space wasn't impossible, but currently, he could only achieve it by relying on soul bones, which came at a considerable energy cost. Moreover, since he usually traveled with others, there was rarely a need to use it.
But considering his upcoming guests one capable of spatial manipulation and the other an elemental master traveling for them was far too effortless. This reminded him of Qian Daoliu why was he still relying on wings to fly?
With that amused thought, Han Li stepped into the passageway and arrived near the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. He veiled the surroundings with the power of rules, making no move to dispel it.
He had not brought Qian Daoliu. Since the Silver Dragon King was personally coming, his presence wouldn't make much difference, and it might even provoke hostility. After all, the Angel God had been one of those involved in the original battle.
Their efficiency was, as expected, quite impressive.
Han Li had only waited at the outer perimeter for about half an hour before sensing a spatial disturbance nearby.
Suppressing his mischievous urge to have his Evil God Hook rupture the space in response, he turned his gaze toward the source.
Unlike the dark space rift that appeared when Di Tian traveled, what unfolded before Han Li was a radiant silver portal. From within, two figures stepped out.
Leading the way was a woman, while Di Tian followed closely behind her.
Her silver hair cascaded down her back, reaching her ankles, shimmering like liquid crystal. Her skin was pale, with deep violet eyes that were clear and piercing.
She carried a contradiction an air of fragility like a sickly beauty, yet exuding a natural majesty. It didn't diminish her beauty; rather, it enhanced it. That was Han Li's first impression of her.
"Silver Dragon King?"
Seeing both of them looking at him, Han Li deliberately asked, though he already knew the answer.
"Mm. You may also call me Gu Yue."
The Silver Dragon King nodded, examining Han Li as well. The divine energy within him was unfamiliar, just as Di Tian had described.
"Alright. Let's head inside first. The area within will completely block any prying eyes from the Divine Realm."
Gu Yue? If she was giving herself a name, shouldn't it at least include "Dragon"? Silver Moon would have been a better choice than Gu Yue. Han Li thought of a certain artifact spirit who had also called herself "Yao Fei."
Shaking off the random thought, he took the lead and stepped into the poisonous mist.
As for providing them with protective measures? Please. If the Silver Dragon King could be stopped or poisoned here, then there was no point in discussing a partnership. What a third rate version of the Ruined Immortal Emperor that would be.
Gu Yue and Di Tian said nothing and simply followed behind him, disappearing into the mists.
Standing atop the elevated platform within the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, the three of them overlooked the area.
"Master, this place carries the aura of the Ice Fire Dragon King."
Di Tian instinctively blurted out, his gaze filled with excitement as he turned to the Silver Dragon King.
"A burial site, nothing more."
Gu Yue's eyes flickered briefly upon arrival, but she quickly regained her composure.
Aside from a faint residual energy, there was no lingering consciousness here. It was nothing more than a graveyard, irrelevant to them.
However, both of them turned their focus toward Han Li.
He had brought them here was there a deeper purpose?
