Chapter 221 - Chapter 221: Evil Soul Beasts, Intolerable by Heaven!

Chapter 221: Evil Soul Beasts, Intolerable by Heaven!

As for the renowned Sea God Island, in Bai Xiuxiu's eyes, it wasn't truly a part of the human world. That place was merely a faction composed of people who worshipped the Sea God, constantly praising and glorifying him. Although Bai Xiuxiu had grown up under the influence of her mother and the people of Sea God Island, knowing that both Sea Gods were incredibly powerful and regarded as saviors, she herself wasn't truly a believer in the second Sea God. After all, she had never received any benefits from him nor witnessed any miracles.

Suddenly, Bai Xiuxiu felt hunger creeping up inside her. She immediately thought about filling her stomach and began searching for nearby sea soul beasts. As one of the top predators of the sea, the Demon Soul Great White Shark clan naturally considered many weaker sea soul beasts as their food. Soon, Bai Xiuxiu found a group of sea green shrimp. These creatures were weak, numerous, and lived in groups. They had tough, cyan colored shells and were categorized as water attribute soul beasts. However, in Bai Xiuxiu's eyes, their most important trait was that they were delicious. So, whenever she encountered them, she wouldn't hesitate to hunt them down for a meal.

"Become my food!" Bai Xiuxiu eagerly launched her attack. A wave of chilling air spread from her body, rapidly expanding outward. In an instant, the surrounding seawater froze into solid ice, and as the cold spread, more and more ice formed, enlarging the frozen area. Moments later, an entire cluster of sea green shrimp was encased in ice, appearing like a giant cyan glowing frozen mass.

Bai Xiuxiu happily flicked her tail and swam toward her frozen feast, ready to indulge. But just as she was about to take her first bite, a male voice suddenly echoed from behind her.

"Demon Soul Great White Shark, you dare oppress other soul beasts for your own selfish gain? You are truly evil, intolerable by heaven!"

Bai Xiuxiu was startled. She immediately turned around and looked toward the source of the voice.

It was a man clad in a black robe, his entire body exuding a cold and eerie aura. The seawater around him subtly shifted with his presence. Behind him, numerous sea soul beast corpses floated, their bodies shriveled, their eyes glowing red with a sinister light, and their entire forms radiating an ominous, murderous intent. It was clear that this man was not to be trifled with.

"Wait… Are you the Death God's Envoy?" Bai Xiuxiu's mind immediately recalled a recent rumor circulating among sea soul beasts.

According to the stories, an evil soul master had appeared in the ocean recently, claiming to be the "Death God's Envoy" and vowing to purge the sea of all "evil soul beasts." Reports indicated that any sea soul beast that did not worship the Sea God was labeled as evil and mercilessly slaughtered.

At first, Bai Xiuxiu had suspected that this Death God's Envoy might be connected to the Sea God, but she quickly dismissed that idea. After all, the noble, righteous, and broad minded Sea God would never associate with an evil soul master. However, this so called envoy was undeniably strange. As a human, he could move freely through the ocean without ever needing to surface. Even ancient sea soul beasts with tens of thousands of years of cultivation couldn't match his speed. It was as if he were truly blessed by the Sea God himself.

But what did his words mean? She was just hunting for food how did that make her an unforgivable evil? Soul beasts naturally lived by the law of survival of the fittest. How could that be considered evil? It wasn't as if she were a notorious sea beast like the Deep Sea Demon Whale King.

Growing increasingly confused, Bai Xiuxiu spoke up. "I am not an evil soul beast. I am simply hunting because I'm hungry. This is the natural way of life for soul beasts. Do you expect me to starve to death instead?"

The Death God's Envoy let out a cold snort and declared righteously, "Do not try to twist the truth! Today you bully the sea green shrimp, tomorrow you will invade the human world and oppress human soul masters, bringing disaster upon humanity! I, the Death God's Envoy, will not tolerate even the slightest trace of evil! I can see through your vile intentions with a single glance! Now, I shall put an end to your wicked deeds, kill you, and turn you into my corpse puppet.

"A savage soul beast like you, violent and unruly, would only wreak havoc if left unchecked. But if I take control of your power, I can turn it into a force for good!"

From the perspective of the Death God's Envoy, he had undergone a transformation under the subtle influence of Sea God Tang San's divine seal. He had reformed and now understood the difference between right and wrong while also establishing his own double standards.

The Sea God was supreme and righteous, beyond question!

And this Demon Soul Great White Shark was blatantly oppressing weaker soul beasts before his very eyes. Such evil had to be eradicated!

Although he knew that the Demon Soul Great White Shark clan had ties to Sea God Island, the fact remained that every group had its own outcasts. And outcasts needed to be eliminated.

Of course, as a hero purging the seas of evil soul beasts, it was only natural for him to gain some benefits along the way. He was already a Soul Sage just one more soul ring and he would become a Soul Douluo.

Not only that, but he could refine this shark into a corpse puppet, ensuring nothing went to waste.

Typically, an evil soul master could progress at an astonishing rate before reaching the Title Douluo level. However, the threshold to becoming a Title Douluo was an enormous obstacle. Once surpassed, an evil soul master's power would surge dramatically. But too few could cross that threshold. The Death God's Envoy was determined to break through as quickly as possible after all, doing so would allow him to better serve the Sea God.

Bai Xiuxiu was utterly dumbfounded. She felt this human was unbelievably shameless. He was clearly after her soul ring and her body, yet he refused to admit it and instead spouted self righteous nonsense to justify his so called justice.

She wasn't going to sit idly by and wait for death. Without hesitation, Bai Xiuxiu launched an attack. Since this man wanted to kill her, she wouldn't hold back either.

Moments later, a heavily wounded Bai Xiuxiu fled in desperation, leaving a long trail of blood in the water. Although she was an eighty thousand year soul beast, she was no match for the Death God's Envoy's army of corpse beasts, soul beast wraiths, and his unique technique Corpse Explosion. Against such relentless attacks, she found herself completely overwhelmed.

"Hngh… It hurts so much… Ugh, if only Mom were here…" She was now painfully aware of the immense gap in strength between herself and the Death God's Envoy. With no other options, she could only escape for her life.

"Help! There's an evil soul master killing soul beasts! Someone, help!"

As she fled, she cried out loudly, hoping to attract the attention of a passing expert. Anything was better than falling into the hands of the Death God's Envoy.

Warm sunlight shone on the deck of the ship.

Huo Yuhao sat in a chair, gazing into the vast blue sky. The salty sea breeze ruffled his clothes as he basked in the warmth of the sun, feeling as if he were soaking in a hot spring completely at ease.

All the students on this voyage had successfully completed their second martial soul awakening, becoming the first group to benefit from this initiative in the Sun Moon Empire. Huo Yuhao had been the last among them to complete the process, as his potential far surpassed the others.

Of course, this didn't mean the ship would return immediately. In the coming days, Jing Hongchen and the others would also attempt their own second martial soul awakenings. If these powerful Title Douluo could awaken their martial souls a second time, their talent ceilings would increase significantly, making them far stronger than before an exciting prospect for these top ranked Class 9 soul engineers.

A smile slowly crept onto Huo Yuhao's face as he contemplated his next moves.
