Chapter 377: Tang Ya, What Have You Done!
Wang Dong and Xiao Xiao had been admiring the unique local decorations on the walls of the Ming Yue Hotel, as it was their first time in the Sun Moon Empire. However, upon hearing Beibei's words, they immediately turned their heads to see what he was looking at. The moment they followed his gaze, Tang Ya's figure came into view.
"Teacher Xiaoya! I never expected to find you here! Come back to the academy with us!" Wang Dong exclaimed excitedly. Tang Ya looked almost the same as she had years ago, making it easy for Wang Dong to recognize her at a glance.
Xiao Xiao also called out, "Teacher Xiaoya!" She was genuinely happy to see Tang Ya again. After all, Tang Ya was the current Tang Sect Leader. Since joining the Tang Sect, Xiao Xiao had received the inheritance of the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record, significantly improving her strength. Additionally, Beibei, the eldest brother of the sect, had always taken good care of her. Because of this, she felt deeply grateful toward the Tang Sect.
However, Tang Ya stood still, expressionless. Hearing Beibei, Wang Dong, and Xiao Xiao call her name, she felt an odd sense of familiarity with them, yet she couldn't understand where it came from.
Beibei could no longer contain himself. With a swift movement, he rushed toward Tang Ya. He had so much he wanted to say to her, so many things he needed to tell her. Most of all, he wanted to take her back to Shrek Academy.
It had been years since he last saw Tang Ya. His longing for her had only grown stronger with time. Now that she was right before him, the emotions he had buried deep in his heart surged uncontrollably.
"Stop!" A member of the Holy Spirit Sect stepped forward, blocking Beibei's path and scolding him.
But Beibei wouldn't be stopped so easily. He instantly activated Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, weaving around the obstacle and heading straight for Tang Ya.
In an instant, he was right in front of her. He stretched out his arms, attempting to embrace her, his face breaking into a joyful smile. "Xiaoya, it's been so long."
Tang Ya immediately stepped back. Her once familiar eyes now gleamed with a cold, dark blue light. She looked at Beibei with an icy, indifferent expression, as if he were nothing more than a stranger.
Although Beibei's voice stirred some inexplicable sense of familiarity within her, that didn't mean she wanted any physical contact with him.
The next moment, two dark blue vines burst forth from behind her, whipping toward Beibei's chest. The tips of these vines were razor sharp, gleaming with a deadly edge.
Beibei, caught off guard, had no time to react. The vines struck him directly.
In an instant, two deep wounds tore across his chest, blood gushing out in terrifying streams. The pain forced a cry from his lips, and the impact sent him flying backward.
Before he could hit the ground, Cai Mei'er appeared in a flash, catching Beibei and preventing further injury. She immediately began examining his wounds.
She had been keeping a close watch on Beibei and the others. After all, Elder Xuan's capture had been a harsh lesson. She wanted to ensure the students' safety, so she had been particularly vigilant.
At first, when Tang Ya appeared, Cai Mei'er was pleased. She thought Beibei and Tang Ya's reunion was a good thing, and so she had let her guard down. She never expected Tang Ya to attack Beibei on sight.
This was completely unbelievable.
Everyone knew about Beibei and Tang Ya's relationship. Even after years apart, there was no reason for them to turn against each other like this.
Seeing Beibei wounded, Wang Dong was in shock. "Teacher Xiaoya, that was Beibei! How could you attack him?"
"That's right, Teacher Xiaoya! If something is wrong, you can talk to him about it. Why did you have to hurt him so badly?" Xiao Xiao pleaded, her face full of disbelief.
Tang Ya remained indifferent.
She showed no remorse for injuring Beibei. To her, it was simply the logical course of action.
After all, Beibei had suddenly rushed toward her and tried to make physical contact. What if he had intended to attack her?
As the Blue Silver Saintess, she couldn't afford to take risks. If she were seriously injured, it would complicate the Holy Spirit Church's upcoming matches.
Beibei's well being was irrelevant.
"Tang Ya! What have you done?! Without Beibei, how is the Tang Sect supposed to win the semifinals?!" Cai Mei'er demanded furiously.
Her gaze bore into Tang Ya with overwhelming disapproval.
Even though Beibei's wounds weren't fatal, they were severe. From her experience, there was no way he could recover in time for the upcoming matches.
This meant that Shrek Academy's strength had been drastically weakened.
After all, in terms of personal strength, Beibei, with his Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Martial Soul, was the strongest member of Tang Sect.
Even He Caitou, who had been trained under the academy's Single Soldier Project, couldn't defeat Beibei unless he was given enough distance to utilize his Soul Tools properly.
At that moment, a voice spoke up near Tang Ya.
"It's simple. Shrek Academy should just forfeit."
A second later, Scorpion Tiger Douluo Zhang Peng appeared beside Tang Ya, stepping forward to shield her.
Currently, Tang Ya's strength had grown significantly she had already reached the Soul Sage level.
This was not surprising. Evil Soul Masters always advanced quickly, and Tang Ya's mutated Dark Blue Silver Grass was especially unique, allowing her to grow even faster.
Of course, an Evil Soul Master's rapid advancement wouldn't last forever.
Once they neared the Titled Douluo realm, further progression would become incredibly difficult. Many Evil Soul Masters failed to break through at the Soul Core stage and perished.
Cai Mei'er stared at Zhang Peng, her expression shifting slightly. However, she wasn't afraid of him.
She had the entire Shrek Academy behind her.
But Tang Ya standing alongside Scorpion Tiger Douluo the same man who had attacked Shrek's exchange students was deeply troubling.
Did this mean Tang Ya had fallen and become an Evil Soul Master?
Was that why she had changed so much?
The more Cai Mei'er thought about it, the more likely it seemed.
Otherwise, why would Tang Ya attack Beibei?
She clenched her fists. No matter what, they had to bring Tang Ya back to the academy.
But first, they had to deal with Zhang Peng.
Without neutralizing him, taking Tang Ya away would be impossible.
She took a deep breath and spoke loudly. "Zhang Peng! You dare to show yourself?! You killed multiple Shrek exchange students, yet instead of hiding in shame, you strut around so arrogantly? It's outrageous!"
"Back then, Elder Mu spared your life out of kindness. But now, you repay him with betrayal? Truly, the so called Scorpion Tiger Douluo is nothing more than an ungrateful wretch!"
She didn't immediately attack Zhang Peng.
Instead, she chose to confront him with words.
For now, her priority was protecting Beibei, Wang Dong, and Xiao Xiao.
If a fight broke out, she wouldn't be able to go all out without risking their safety.
Tang Ya had already wounded Beibei.
She couldn't afford to let anything else happen.
