"He fully supports me dating," Yun Shifei curved her lips slightly. She definitely wouldn't tell Cheng Lie about Yun Tiancheng's criticisms of him.
She knew Cheng Lie had been through so much; his heart must be sensitive.
Just hearing Yun Tiancheng say those things made her feel sad, let alone telling the person involved.
Cheng Lie was wonderful. It wasn't that he didn't deserve her—it was her who was reaching above her station.
Hearing this, Cheng Lie's heart eased slightly.
"I haven't told him about us yet. Next time, if he wants to meet you, I'll bring it up," Yun Shifei continued.
Cheng Lie responded with an "okay": "When the time comes, I'll make a good impression."
Cheng Lie spoke naturally, but perhaps it was this very naturalness that caused Yun Shifei's cheeks to flush.
"My dad liked you before, and I'm sure he'll like you in the future too," she told Cheng Lie.
Yun Tiancheng wasn't an unreasonable person; he simply hadn't seen the good in Cheng Lie yet.
