Chapter 4 - Chapter 004: Living Together in One Room

"Wait until dawn to leave." the boy said again, his voice urgent and irrefutable.

At this time, both the man in the suit and the boy's father began to persuade Sheng Tang.

"We will guarantee your personal safety. You two stay in the living room, and if you get tired, you can rest on the sofa." the man in the suit said, "Judging by your school uniform, you must be from Huishi High School.

Huishi is an enterprise under our group, we can find your address faster than the police. We can inform your family to assure them. You can go home tomorrow morning."

The middle-aged man also looked at Sheng Tang: "Student, please help us! My son is quite afraid of the dark!"

Sheng Tang was quite shocked at this point, her mind probably numbed.

Because she heard herself say: "Alright, I won't leave today. Please help me find my home."

If her mind were functioning normally, she probably wouldn't agree to such a request.

The boy led her upstairs.

Sheng Tang had trained in sanda before; this boy might not be able to take advantage of her. If his family wanted to cause trouble, Sheng Tang could control him as a hostage, making walking with him the most suitable choice.

There were no other options available at this point.

She followed him upstairs.

The whole villa was brilliantly lit, the lights far brighter than elsewhere.

Sheng Tang followed him to the room.

His room was extremely large, with a big bed, a wardrobe set, a balcony overlooking downstairs furnished with leather chairs and a tea table; the room was carpeted in light brown, footsteps inaudible; a painting hung on the wall.

Sheng Tang couldn't identify the painter, deliberately taking a closer look: "Who's the artist?"

The boy completely relaxed, no longer restrained and domineering, his voice now gentle: "Mine."

Sheng Tang: "..."

Besides that, his room had no other features.

Someone knocked on the door, and after three knocks, the door was pushed open, it was that man in the suit.

He held a set of female pajamas, a bath towel, toothpaste, and a toothbrush.

Sheng Tang saw that they indeed intended for her to sleep here, but felt no uneasiness, only confusion.

From start to finish, she hadn't felt any danger.

Her sense of crisis was quite strong, yet she wasn't completely unaware.

Too many bizarre things had happened, she was too tired, carrying the toiletries she asked the boy: "May I go shower first?"

The boy nodded.

His handsome face was so calm, all traces of previous trembling gone, leaving only serenity.

Sheng Tang glanced at him, then turned around and left.

In the bathroom, she carefully saw another completely unfamiliar face - a very fat face.

Perhaps she was too tired, she calmly showered, brushed her teeth, and dried her hair.

When she came out, the boy had already showered in another bathroom and was in neat pajamas, sitting at the edge of the bed.

Sheng Tang came in, stood before him and asked: "How do we sleep?"

"You sleep on the bed, I'll sleep on the floor." the boy said.

Sheng Tang: "..."

Alright, nothing surprises her anymore.

She fell onto the bed: "Then I'll sleep first."

If she wakes up, maybe she'll find this was just an absurd dream? She drowsily drifted into sleep, quickly falling into a deep slumber.

The boy took the bedding out, spreading it on the ground.

He watched Sheng Tang, looking for a full half minute, seeing her sleeping serenely, all his anxieties dissipated.

After lying down, he also slowly fell asleep.

The next morning, Sheng Tang was sent back home.

As she left, the boy stood in the morning sunlight, watching her go.
