(POV – Yuki Rito)
[Heaven – First Heaven – Entrance Gate]
VRUUUUUMMMM!
The clouds parted like curtains of cotton, revealing the celestial splendor of the First Heaven. Angels with glowing wings patrolled the skies, their lances of light shimmering like falling stars. Rito, with a calm expression, observed everything with curious eyes.
— "Wow... this is... impressive," Rito murmured, marveling at the grandeur around him.
Gabriel appeared at his side, beaming with childlike enthusiasm.
— "Daddy! You came!" she exclaimed, throwing herself into a hug so tight it knocked the wind out of Rito.
— "G-Gabriel... less force, please," he said, trying to gently free himself.
She laughed, releasing him reluctantly.
— "Sorry! I just get so happy when you come visit!"
[Second Heaven – Star Observatory]
The environment was wrapped in a soft twilight, with stars shining brightly all around. Angels observed the cosmos, their expressions focused.
— "This is where we monitor the stars and keep records of cosmic events," Gabriel explained, pulling Rito by the hand.
He gazed at the constellations, awed by the universe's vastness.
— "It's incredible to think of how many worlds are out there..."
[Third Heaven – Paradise]
As they entered the Third Heaven, they were welcomed by lush fields, grand trees, and flowers of indescribable colors. Radiant souls walked peacefully, emanating serenity.
— "This is Paradise, where the souls of the righteous rest," Gabriel said reverently.
Rito felt a deep calm wash over him, as if the weight of the world had been lifted.
— "It's... wonderful."
[Fourth Heaven – Garden of Eden]
The Garden of Eden was a spectacle in itself. The Tree of Wisdom stood majestically, its golden leaves whispering ancient secrets.
— "This is where it all began," Gabriel said, admiring the tree.
Rito approached, touching the trunk gently. A sensation of ancient knowledge coursed through him.
— "It's like it's alive..."
[Fifth Heaven – Research Labs]
The environment was modern, with advanced equipment and angelic scientists working diligently. Gabriel led Rito through the corridors.
— "Here we develop new technologies and study the universe," she explained.
Rito observed with interest, impressed by the level of advancement.
— "You're really ahead of your time."
[Sixth Heaven – Zebel]
Arriving at the Sixth Heaven, they were greeted by a massive gate, guarded by majestic Seraphim. Gabriel waved to them, and they respectfully stepped aside.
— "This is the core of Heaven, where the Seraphim reside," she said.
Rito felt the intensity of the energy around him, like standing in the heart of the universe.
— "It's... powerful."
[Seventh Heaven – Sacred Gear System]
The Seventh Heaven was a realm of pure light, with golden gears turning in perfect harmony. At the center, God's System pulsed with divine energy.
— "This is where everything is kept in balance," Gabriel explained.
Rito watched in wonder at the complexity and perfection of the system.
— "It's like Heaven's heartbeat..."
[Back to the Third Heaven – Flower Field]
Sitting in a flower field, Gabriel leaned her head on Rito's shoulder, sighing happily.
— "Daddy, will you come back soon?"
Rito smiled, gently stroking her hair.
— "Whenever I can, I'll be here."
She smiled, closing her eyes.
— "Promise?"
— "Promise."
And there, under the starry skies of Paradise, father and daughter shared a moment of eternal love and peace.
(POV – Ajuka Beelzebub)
[Ajuka's Private Laboratory – Sublevels of Lilith City]
CLANK! VRRRRRRM!
Gears turned with millimetric precision as data danced across the screens like enchanted fireflies. Ajuka Beelzebub — the demon of logic and invention — reclined in his swivel chair, eyes gleaming as he watched a floating projection of Heaven.
But not the physical sky… Heaven with a capital "H."
— "Heh… what a marvel," he muttered, lightly tapping a crystal interface. Data waves vibrated in bluish tones, like mathematical symphonies in motion.
With each rotation of the celestial matrix, new patterns emerged. Magical waves, dimensional resonances, doctrinal interactions between circles of sacred power and Heaven's defense systems. All of it… in harmony.
— "They've finally awakened, those little angels…" he said with a smirk — half mocking, half in awe.
Ever since the rumors of spiritual rebirths, reconstructions of the Seven Heavens, and the purification of kidnapped souls began to spread, Ajuka had barely slept — not out of concern, but from sheer fascination.
Paradise was evolving.
And that was… exciting.
— "Zebel's been reinforced with a new defensive protocol… hmm… And the Tree of Life's flux was recalibrated… this is just beautiful," his eyes nearly glowing with the delight of seeing a cosmic puzzle fall into place.
He slid his fingers across the magical controls, cross-referencing Third Heaven energy with Fifth Heaven activity. What he saw almost made him laugh out loud.
— "They're building something hybrid… a living, self-healing, magical and conscious system? Hah! Which enlightened lunatic thought of this?"
His thoughts raced. With every reading, a new theory. With every heartbeat of Heaven, a different melody enchanted his analytical senses.
— "For the first time… I feel like I'm not alone…" he whispered.
Because the most impressive thing wasn't the sacred technology. Not the anti-invasion barriers, nor the spiritual transmutation systems in the lower realms.
It was the philosophy.
Heaven was starting to think like him.
Fusion. Innovation. Audacity.
Ajuka, who for centuries had felt isolated — a creator in a world that only sought to maintain order — now saw, across the celestial divide, a mind as creative as his.
Perhaps even more.
He didn't yet know who was behind the latest changes. Was it Michael? Gabriel? Or maybe some new architect hiding among the choirs?
But one thing was certain:
The symphony was changing key.
And he wanted to dance to that music.
— "Maybe I should send a message… or an invitation," he murmured, opening an experimental communication channel.
Then paused.
— "No. Not yet…" he smiled, leaning back. "Let them surprise me a little more."
Ajuka was never a man of faith.
But before this living celestial orchestra, even he considered…
Maybe something divine — or someone — was playing with the gears of reality in a way only he could truly appreciate.
And that… was enough to make him genuinely happy.
(POV – Rias Gremory)
[Night – Cloudy Skies Above Sainan City]
Rias Gremory stood atop an abandoned building, the night wind whipping her red hair — not that she cared. Her crimson eyes were locked on a house below. Too ordinary. Suspiciously ordinary, for someone harboring a Sacred Gear user.
— "So this is where she is…" she muttered, arms crossed. "Asia Argento."
Beside her, Akeno wore an enigmatic smile, with sparks of lightning softly crackling at her fingertips.
— "Do you really think this girl is being protected?" Akeno asked, raising an eyebrow. "Or is she being used?"
— "I'll find out," Rias said coldly. "And if this so-called 'Rito' is playing with her… I'll destroy him with my own hands."
Flashbacks of Riser Phenex's smug face flooded her mind — that vile tone, saying "Let's have sex!" on the very day they met. Like she was a trophy.
Never again.
No one else would treat another girl like that. Not Asia. Not under her watch.
— "Isn't mobilizing the whole peerage a bit much?" asked Kiba, watching their entire group hidden in the shadows.
— "This isn't just about her," Rias replied firmly. "If someone is meddling in the territory of a High-Class devil, I have every right to intervene. Even if that someone is just a human… or pretends to be."
She leapt gracefully from the rooftop. Her heels barely made a sound as they touched the ground. She was resolved. With or without permission, she would get answers from that house.
And if she had to break in? So be it.
[Moments Later – Front Gate of the Yuki Residence]
The gate creaked slightly as she touched the intercom.
— "Hello…?" A gentle girl's voice came through. Probably Asia.
— "Good evening. This is the student council president of Kuoh Academy. I'm here regarding a matter involving one of our students. Is Asia Argento there?"
Silence. Soft footsteps. Muffled voices.
Then… the door opened.
Asia.
— "Miss Gremory…?" the nun's eyes sparkled with confusion. "Why are you here…?"
— "To take you back," Rias said, stepping in like a polite hurricane. "You've been deceived, Asia. They were going to use your Sacred Gear. But don't worry — you're under my protection now."
— "But… I haven't been used," Asia replied, clutching her rosary. "I was saved."
Rias froze.
— "Saved…? By who?"
And then she heard it.
Soft footsteps.
A presence that defied description.
Not a devil's. Not an angel's.
Something else.
She felt it — far more overwhelming than any Sacred Gear could ever be. She remembered what her mother once told her: When the true savior appears, even the world itself holds its breath.
And in that moment… Rias knew.
This boy… was not human.
If she hadn't been trained, she might've wet herself right there.
In her earpiece, Akeno gasped.
Kiba said nothing.
Koneko… was frozen in horror.
The boy walked into the room wearing pajamas. Disheveled. Scratching his head.
— "Hi…? Is there a problem?"
Rias narrowed her eyes.
Nothing about him matched expectations.
He was… calm. Kind. Almost uninterested.
But then their eyes met.
And for a brief second — just one — Rias felt something.
Something she couldn't explain.
As if she had just glimpsed something the universe had tried to hide from her.
"No way…" she thought.
"He's just a human… right?"
Or…
Is he?
