Tong Keke hadn't expected her biological mother to take her to the hospital. She asked angrily, "Why did you bring me here?"
"Just to have a check-up, Keke. Mom's always worried about you. I want to make sure you're healthy," Han Yan said tenderly, making her intentions seem beyond doubt.
Tong Keke, being still young, naturally couldn't compete with the seasoned Han Yan. She thought it was merely a routine physical, so she pouted and said, "I'm perfectly healthy. I don't need your concern."
