Chapter 28 - The Third

"Before there was right and wrong, there was already a decision."

"Before there was action and consequence, there was The Third."

The Third does not deliberate.

He does not hear testimonies.

He does not construct arguments.

For justice within Him is not the result of debate

but the very form of existence itself.

Among the Four Pillars of the Realms of Godshead,

The Third stands not as a symbol,

but as the law that allows symbols to exist.

The Third is the Supreme Judge

not in the moral sense,

but as the most absolute structure of existence.

He does not enforce law.

He is the law.

Every system of causality

from the laws of gravity to the laws of dharma,

from contracts between gods to the frameworks of mathematical logic

are merely small branches of His root law.

He does not concern Himself with goodness.

He does not submit to evil.

He holds no preference.

He only holds decisions.

When the highest of beings asked,

"Does my existence have meaning?"

The Third did not answer. He decided.

And that decision became destiny.

"Not because you deserve to live.

But because I have decided that life is the meaning you must carry."

In the Realms of Godshead,

where all other things appear as shadows of something higher,

The Third is the hammer of silence

that strikes all possibilities

into a single form of reality.

He does not impose law.

He makes things real

simply by declaring them "accepted."

There is no system above Him.

No council, no god, no appeal.

For even the concept of an appeal or a review

can only exist if The Third first decides that law should allow for flexibility.

If The One is cause,

and The Second is conflict,

then The Third is the line where decisions are made and cannot be undone.

Once, an anomaly from Level Space prayed,

"Is it just to be destroyed simply because I exist?"

The Third gave no answer.

Yet the anomaly vanished.

Not as punishment.

Not as execution.

But because its existence was removed from the register of decisions.

"You exist because I allow.

You do not, because I decide."

The Third knows not time.

His decisions apply before time begins,

and remain valid after time has ceased.

In many forbidden texts, it is written that

even The True the final manifestation of absolute will

only emerged after The Third decided that "truth must be."

"I do not deliver punishment.

I deliver reality."

The Third is the boundary between possibility and actuality

not a barrier, but a perfect filter.

What passes through Him, is.

What He denies even the idea of its existence will vanish.

The Third.

The Third Pillar of the Realms of Godshead.

The Supreme Judge.

He is not law

He is the reason law can be called law.
