Emiya's Hands shook as The bird like abomination's fist came crashing towards him. He was numb, He just watched a bunch of people explode when that thing landed And now he could do nothing. His stamina was gone he was exhausted. He couldn't dodge there was nothing he could do.
All he could do was stare as his life flashed before his eyes. Emotions he had never felt Began to pour into his being. The sting of his failure to protect the rest of the system. The knowledge that None of the other altars would know how they died.
But he had to accept it. There was nothing he could do to change the outcome. He was cornered. Whatever that man in the suit had done, it had Drained him. He couldn't move he was in shock. And as needed before he would have to accept this outcome.
As all of these thoughts flashed through Emiya's mind Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a familiar figure. It was a Ruby Rose. One of his best friends from the part-time agency. "Why was she here? What was she doing? If she saved him now and took this punch, she might die. She has no Physical enhancements. If she takes this punch for him, she'll die!"
Emiya couldn't move. He just had to sit there and watch it. His friend shoved him out of the way and took this monster's punch for him.
Emiya Went flying, flailing across The sidewalk Eventually, he slammed into the side of a building, knocking the wind out of him. As he slowly pulled himself up, he stared back towards where he was a few seconds ago.
He couldn't find Ruby anywhere. After surveying the area, he finally found a bit of her red cloak, sticking out of a pile of rubble. The chance of her surviving that it was astronomically low.
Emiya Felt something inside of him snap But it wasn't just inside of him. It was inside of all of the altars. Immediately he felt their presence flowing through him. They were awake but not Aware. They were Reacting to his emotions. That is until one of them finally opens her eyes. Internally Mordred stared into Emiya Feeling his guilt, rage, despair, And self loathing. He was cracking breaking apart. She felt A sensation a pull, Emiya Needed her. So she gave into the sensation.
Emiya felt A chaotic pool of energy ripped through his body. Conflicting emotions his own mixing with Someone else's. "Mordred what are you doing to use!" Emiya yelled in internal hysteria.
"I'm just following my feelings, OK! I don't know what's happening." The two of them felt a rush as their memories collided. Based on glimpses of each other's experiences and empathize with each other's Origins and tragedies. Until they were perfectly in sync, a singular being for the first times since Izuku's childhood. But not truly whole, they would shatter apart again.
Physical changes began to develop across their body. Their skin Metallicized And began to grow growth crystallizing into a strange Battle suit. Their head was completely developed into a strange faceless helmet. They immediately felt a rush of power. They felt more complete.
Slowly, the both instinctually projected a blade. A singular weapon more powerful than anything in Emiya's Arsenal. Blade made of pure energy with the ability of durability negation. As this new entity Surveyed its opponent it took a sword stance and immediately charged at a speed that the abomination could barely track.
The sword in this new existence's hands slashed across The Abominations limbs completely severing them from its body. As it roared and screeched, some primitive part of it knew something was wrong And you The reader also found something strange. The Nomu's Arms did not regenerate. The energy in the blade seem to be preventing it.
As this new existence stared down at its fallen flow it watched as it screeched and Fled, but without limbs, it could not take advantage of its physical capabilities. After a certain amount of time, the Abomination seemed to calm down before it completely stopped moving. But it wasn't the only one. The new existence, the Midoriya system had transformed into had completely stopped moving. It just stood there silently like a sentinel, watching for danger, but not moving.
POV change: Ruby Rose
Ruby had been waiting for Midoriya for a couple of hours. They were supposed to meet out for a project. They had been working on, but when he didn't show up, she had assumed he'd had another one of His alters hijack their work time.
After picking up a tracking device that she had for her friend, she found out he was near UA High. So she decided to speed over there and pick up the random alter that was wandering the city.
And she bounced across the rooftops she eventually bore witness to The meteorite hurling down from the sky. And she watched it fall down she saw Emiya. Knowing his abilities, she expected him to save the Vehicle full of people, but as she watched, she realize something was wrong. It was clear that Emiya was trying, but he looked exhausted. Like he might collapse any second. She watched a horror as the innocent people inside of that van where blown to bits. She then watched the whole thing abomination stumble out of the wreckage, and immediately tried to kill her friend. She immediately used her cork to get as close as possible and shove Emiya Out of harms way, just barely almost getting hit herself. But she used her quirk to get up on top of the buildings again.
"It feels a little drafty up here." Ruby thought, as she began to realize that her cloak was completely gone. It Must have been Intercepted by that monsters punch.
She immediately realized that she had More important things to think about and looked down towards where her friend was. And bore witness to his pseudo horrifying transformation into a Soulless weapon. She watched as it swiftly dispatched the monster.
Thinking this was probably a new Alter She Zipped down to the new end of his side and tapped it on the shoulder.
"So. What's your name new friend?" She asked with a Friendly smile. The entity didn't respond it just stared forward watching.
Well, she thought it was watching. She wasn't super sure. Other heroes and police showed up and began to Clean up the crime scene. But no one Could get The new entities attention. They couldn't even move it. It was too heavy.
It just stood there like a statue. Eventually, Ruby Called Nezu and explained the predicament she was in. Nezu Told her that he would send someone over to pick them up and bring them back to UA To try to figure out what was happening.
