Chapter 462 - Ch 462 : Prinzessin der Verurteilung, Fischl

Under Jean's arrangements, everyone went together to Mondstadt's Adventurers' Guild.

At the entrance of the guild, they saw many elite adventurers, fully armed and ready for action.

Among the adventurers, they also spotted Fischl.

"Fi—"

Paimon had just wanted to greet her as usual, but then remembered the condition that could trigger Fischl's eerie state.

She quickly swallowed the words she was about to say and instead spoke:

"Honorable Prinzessin der Verurteilung, I didn't expect to meet you here."

Hearing Paimon's voice and seeing everyone, Fischl turned and said:

"Oh, so it is Paimon, the familiar of the Traveler whose fate is intertwined with mine, both beings from another world!"

"To behold you here fills my heart with joy, like sweet dew appearing in a barren wasteland!"

"My lady says she is pleasantly surprised and very glad to see you," Oz added helpfully from the side.

Hearing Oz's explanation, Su Yuan and Aether suddenly had a bad feeling—wasn't this basically undermining Fischl's act?

However, Fischl carried on as usual, showing no abnormal signs.

That let Su Yuan and the others breathe a small sigh of relief…

Perhaps… Oz was a special case?

Maybe his words didn't count as breaking Fischl's role-play?

"Your plea, I have already understood. That wretched Albetwo dares to threaten the land and subjects I, the Prinzessin, protect? Naturally, I shall not let him go unpunished!"

Fischl continued:

"No matter if Albetwo hides within Dragonspine or flees to the ends of the earth, I shall find his trail and bring down upon him the sacred thunder of judgment!"

"With Her Highness, the Prinzessin der Verurteilung, taking action, it will surely be extraordinary!" Su Yuan chimed in, "Any evil shall eventually be brought to justice!"

Hearing Su Yuan's words, Fischl nodded in satisfaction.

Then she turned a slightly curious gaze toward him and said:

"Your face, I do not recall beholding before…"

"But I, the Prinzessin, acknowledge your praise of the sovereign of the Immernachtreich!"

"So then, tell me your name!"

"Honorable Prinzessin, my name is Su Yuan—Su as in tiramisu, Yuan as in ruins and rubble," Su Yuan replied.

"I am one of the close friends of the Traveler, your sanctified companion."

"Yes, Your Highness can place unconditional trust in Su Yuan. He and I are both flawless allies of the Prinzessin," Aether added beside him.

Fischl looked at the scene before her with some doubt.

Why did it feel like everyone was being unusually cooperative with her today?

"Your Highness, please remain true to your own heart. Do not let yourself be swayed by these external forces of corruption," Aether continued, "We will forever follow by your side."

"'Oz, the Raven that severs day from night,' please grant me a word in private. There are some matters I wish to discuss with you alone."

Right after that, Aether spoke up, trying to pull Oz aside for a talk…

Honestly, keeping up that tone and logic while speaking with Fischl was quite strange and exhausting…

But they had to tell Fischl about the cause of her eerie state somehow…

Now, Aether figured, perhaps they could convey all the information related to Fischl's potential eerie state to her through Oz.

That would not only be more convenient, but also clearer in meaning.

"Traveler, what's going on?" Once they reached a quiet corner, Oz asked directly.

"You're all acting strangely today—actually going along with Fischl in this kind of dialogue…"

"Oz, I'll keep it short. I'll leave this to you to pass along to Fischl."

Aether then explained to Oz about the existence of the Eerie force, as well as Fischl's possible eerie state condition.

"So that's how it is… I understand now," Oz nodded.

"Based on Su Yuan's intel, the key may lie in the words 'speaking out loud'…" Aether reminded him.

"So the moment you notice something wrong, you must stop that person from speaking further—don't let them finish their words…"

"It might be a little impolite, but it's better than letting them face the threat of death…"

After that, Oz and Aether returned to Fischl's side.

Oz leaned close to her ear and relayed everything Aether had just told him.

After listening, Fischl spoke directly:

"The matters you speak of, I, the Prinzessin, already comprehend."

"Mortals are foolish—there will always be those who cannot accept my true identity. But that does not matter in the slightest…"

"After all, those of noble standing are destined for solitude. As long as I, the Prinzessin, do not lose this exalted heart of mine, all shall be well…"

As Fischl was speaking, Cyrus, the branch master of Mondstadt's Adventurers' Guild, stood upon the platform and began addressing the crowd:

"Brave adventurers, today we have accepted a commission from the Knights of Favonius—to head together to Dragonspine in search of Albetwo's whereabouts!"

"This is a big job, with a very generous reward!"

"Everyone, be careful out there, and when we return tonight, let's all drink together at the tavern!!!"

After delivering his impassioned speech and rallying the adventurers, Cyrus stepped down from the platform and came over to Fischl's side.

He had just opened his mouth, managing only a "Fi—" when Oz stuffed a crumpled tissue into his mouth with his claws.

"Guildmaster Cyrus, though you may hold a lofty position in this mundane world as the branch master of Mondstadt's Adventurers' Guild…"

Oz spoke slowly:

"Before you now stands the sovereign of the Immernachtreich, she who observes and weaves the threads of fate—the Prinzessin der Verurteilung!"

"In simple terms, your tone when speaking must reflect respect toward Her Highness," Oz added quietly at the end.

Cyrus looked at Oz and Fischl with utter bewilderment, completely at a loss for what was happening…

In his memory, talking with Fischl had never been this troublesome.

Even if he didn't understand something, Oz could just translate in between and communication went smoothly…

But now what was this? Had Oz gone on strike?

Was he refusing to translate and instead insisting Cyrus speak these strange lines himself?

"That's right, Guildmaster Cyrus! This is Her Highness, the Prinzessin der Verurteilung—you'd better show some respect!" Paimon quickly joined in, playing along.

"If you wish to converse with Her Highness, you must abide by the rules she has set," Su Yuan added from the side.

"Otherwise, you'd best step away."

Meanwhile, Aether, though he didn't speak, gave Cyrus a meaningful look—basically telling him: just go along with it.

At this point, Cyrus was completely dumbfounded.

Fischl having her own chuunibyou delusions was one thing, but he had never heard of chuunibyou being contagious.

Why did all of them suddenly seem infected too???
