Accompanied by "Fischl's" furious roar, the adventurers, seeing her twisted and terrifying appearance, collapsed to the ground in fright, muttering over and over:
"Fischl? Are you still Fischl? Why… why do you look like this…?"
"Lowly wretches! Who gave you the right to address me by name? You shall call me Her Highness the Prinzessin der Verurteilung!!!"
"Fischl" shouted in rage.
Without hesitation, she drew her bow, conjured arrows with Electro energy, then cloaked them in a dark, blood-red Eerie power, and fired directly at the adventurers!
They had no time to react to the swiftness and ferocity of her assault—the arrows pierced straight through their heads, exploding them into pieces.
Dead beyond any doubt…
"This… is the Thunder of Sacred Judgement… This… is the Arrow of Punishment…"
Looking down coldly at the lifeless adventurers lying on the ground, "Fischl" spoke in an icy tone:
"Those who dare show disrespect to the sovereign of the Immernachtreich shall pay with their very lives!"
At that moment, Oz flew back to "Fischl's" side.
Gazing at the adventurers' gruesome deaths, he felt a pang of guilt…
But the next instant, "Fischl" suddenly raised her hand, seizing Oz tightly by the throat, gritting her teeth as she snarled:
"Oz… you are supposed to be my most loyal servant…"
"Yet just now, when those people defiled the dignity of the Prinzessin der Verurteilung, not only did you refrain from helping me punish them, but you even spoke such words to aid their escape…"
Hearing her cold words, Oz felt his heart sink into ice…
Was his life truly about to end here?
When "Fischl" first underwent her eerie transformation, he had instinctively flown back to her side…
But now, looking back, the wisest choice would have been to leave at once and report to the others that she had been corrupted by the Eerie force…
Now, however, it was far too late…
Oz had once imagined he might one day die protecting Fischl…
But he had never imagined that he might die by Fischl's own hand…
Closing his eyes, Oz resigned himself to fate, ready to embrace death…
Yet in the very next moment, he felt the grip around his neck suddenly loosen, as "Fischl" spoke:
"Oz, for the sake of your many years of service to me, I shall grant you mercy this once…"
"But do not test me again!!!"
Having clawed his way back from the brink of death, Oz did not feel the slightest relief or joy…
Right now, he was pondering a question—how could he deliver the message that "Fischl" had already undergone Eerie state to the others?
And furthermore, since "Fischl" was now under the control of Eerie force, how could she possibly be restored from this corrupted state?
Still, Oz knew clearly that the most urgent matter was to figure out what "Fischl" intended to do next…
"Esteemed Prinzessin der Verurteilung, I shall forever remain your most loyal servant…" Oz spoke slowly.
"Then, may I ask—what shall we do next?"
"I will not allow anyone to stand higher than I. All must kneel beneath the feet of the Prinzessin der Verurteilung!"
"Fischl" declared bluntly:
"Come, Oz! Let us turn our blade toward that Albetwo upon the snowy summit. Let him taste the Thunder of Sacred Judgement, let him tremble before the terror of the Immernachtreich, let him kneel at the feet of the Prinzessin der Verurteilung!!!"
This outcome was somewhat beyond Oz's expectations…
Though admittedly, in a way, it was for the better…
He hadn't expected that the current "Fischl" would immediately set her sights on Albetwo…
But at the same time, Oz felt a gnawing worry—why would Albetwo, who should have remained hidden, suddenly appear at the peak of the mountain?
Such abruptness, such strangeness… could it be a trap?
Yet "Fischl" clearly had no intention of considering such questions, nor did she grant Oz the time or chance to think them through…
Without hesitation, "Fischl" marched directly toward the summit, and spoke to Oz:
"Oz, hurry and follow me…
I have already granted you a single reprieve. There will not be a second time…"
"If you dare stray more than five meters from me, I will regard it as your betrayal…"
Hearing this from "Fischl," Oz quickly caught up with her pace…
At the same time, Oz thought to himself: hopefully, if they could so easily eliminate the threat of Albetwo, "Fischl" might return to normal—nothing would be better than that…
If not, then he prayed that Su Yuan, with his vast abilities and wealth of information, would surely notice Fischl's abnormal state and prepare in advance…
Meanwhile, on the other side of the snowy mountain, Su Yuan suddenly sneezed three times in a row:
"Achoo—Achoo—Achoo—!!!"
"Su Yuan, are you all right?" Aether asked with concern.
"Could it be that the cold mountain weather has given you a bit of a chill?"
"Brother Su Yuan, are you cold? Should we gather some branches, find a place to light a fire, warm ourselves up, and rest for a while?" Klee added.
"It's nothing, really, I don't feel sick or uncomfortable." Su Yuan waved his hands and smiled.
"I don't even know why I suddenly started sneezing—maybe someone out there is talking about me…"
He glanced at the snowy scenery nearby and sighed.
"I wonder, with so many adventurers dispatched this time, will we be able to find Albetwo's whereabouts?"
The group continued searching along the mountain, but still found nothing…
Just then, they suddenly saw several anxious adventurers hurrying down toward the foot of the mountain.
"Fellow adventurers, judging by your anxious expressions, has something happened?" Aether stepped forward to ask.
"Ah! Traveler, it's great we ran into you!" one of the adventurers said.
"Fischl's squad suffered casualties! We must return to the base camp and report this to Guildmaster Cyrus immediately!"
Hearing that there had been casualties, everyone's hearts sank.
Could it be that Fischl's squad had encountered Albetwo, and been harmed by him?
"Casualties? How bad is it? What about Fischl and the others, are they safe?" Aether asked urgently.
"Ah, the scene was just too gruesome, too unbearable to look at…" one adventurer said, his face twisted with discomfort.
"Their heads—completely blown apart…"
"But… we didn't seem to find Fischl's body among the remains…"
"Still, aside from Fischl, everyone else perished…"
