Chapter 30 - Chapter 030: A Dragon's Breath

It didn't take long for the foolish duke to come stumbling over the wall, panting not due to exhaustion but due to shock, after having hurriedly caught the battlements when he fell from the wyrm.

How could he have expected this long unchallenged summoned beast to suddenly be tortured from some strange lightning then chucked away like a pest? Such a scenario obviously left him confused as he tried to put it together in his mind. Trying to make it make some modicum of sense.

While tripping over himself, having to catch himself from slamming face first into the ground more times than he has had to do for the rest of his life, he eventually made it to the edge of the wall. Looking down at the now four people stood on the blood soaked floor. Though that quickly brought more confusion to him.

Quickly peering about to try to find where this new one could have possibly appeared from. Hell, the first girl and wizard boy did not even seem to notice that well dressed figure who stood right behind them while staring up at the duke. A serene smile on their face as they kept their hands in their pants pockets.

Though something about that smile made them no less intimidating than the violet eyed demoness who just threw his summon aside.

Like an inevitable storm you could only watch coming.

From a distance it was beautiful, maybe even calming to view, however there was nothing delightful when its wrath eventually arrived upon them all.

At least that would be his thoughts if he even had that level of literary skill. Realistically it was more akin to calling them a creepy fucker but either one gets his general feelings for the new comer across. Still even that was secondary to the sheer pressure he felt from the newly reformed naked demoness at the front.

Her body was nothing except flawless in its hourglass form yet it was impossible for him to verbally comment on her appearance. Not only because those finely crafted dexterous muscles reminded him of a spring ready to unleash all of its tension. But because she carried something more.

Still he ignored these stupid instincts in favour of looking around to try to find that lesser-dragon while laughing at the two of them.

"Do you think just throwing away my summon will do anything?"

Throwing his arms out in a grand display that got the ignorant demon to raise her brow that currently was left bare as none of her markings were visible.

Something that the demons around her noticed as did she as she began to study her body - lifting her hand in front of her eye while clearly ignoring the duke. Far more interested in the fact that her body lacked the markings. She also noted she lacked the metal spikes that came from her knuckles.

"Can't recreate God Breaker with mere blood."

Speaking in a half mumble but it came out as more of a statement than a grumble; not really seeming to care that her incarnation was not perfectly done. And, honestly, at this point Elizabeth was kind of glad that she couldn't. She had already seen enough to know that the horrors of a full incarnated demoness was far beyond what anyone could actively handle.

Although the goddess appeared to be (strangely enough) a little big smug about her failure to create her supposed internally integrated fist weapons.

Elizabeth silently thought as she watched the demoness & ex-father while wondering who would act first and what the result would be. Unsurprisingly it was the impatient duke who found himself annoyed at being ignored. Driving even more impatient by the underlying fear he strangely felt toward the mere demoness who stood below him.

Nevertheless, on the surface at least, he had his own confidence unaffected by the grand display of power that the strange demoness had done.

"How typical of a demon to show off your power in an attempt to intimidate your betters - unfortunately my gift does not have any kind of cool down. Now that you are out of energy I'll show you just how strong humans truly are. Especially me who is undefeated in this world!"

Providing his words as a light shone as that wyrm reappeared just below the wall he stood upon.

"Want me to take care of this foo-"

Just as that archdemon stepped forward he was met with a finger upon his lips; stopping him instantly as he looked towards his monarch with notable confusion. Glancing at her as she turned towards the creature that appeared, Her vacant expression not letting anyone guess her thoughts.

"Cute as you are… Too dumb and obviously need to work on ability to recognise fellows plus, let me do this, want to play with mortal scum."

The surface wounds were already recovering… However he noticed the damage was regenerating far slower than it usually did - though he decidedly pushed such worries aside. Convincing himself he was merely imagining it since it was irrelevant in the first place.

"What pitiful damage your gambit made has already been mostly healed by my wyrm so now you are left with two choices; surrender to me or die!"

Feeling on top of the world as his struggling heart thumbed so strongly he could hear it in his ears.

Part of him believing he'd be dead if not for the regeneration his gift provided.

That demoness finally turned towards him - her lips constantly parted to reveal her fangs which made him always feel unsettled - her piercing gaze causing him to unconsciously step back. For some reason he found himself hanging onto every action.

"Gordo tonto."

Only problem is that he didn't understand the words she used yet (given the venom both contained) he was pretty sure she threw some strange slur at him.

Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately, her next words were far more understandable.

"World full of weaklings if you sit at top."

Snorting loudly before spitting on the ground - such disrespect caused the duke to go red in the face as he prepared to rebut - her not giving him a chance to reply before continuing.

"A weakling relies on external creatures for his power will never be strong; remind of a certain girl who became summoner. Didn't just rely on gained strength - not in danger just because summons were killed by opponent. Even just make newer stronger ones since do not rely on them."

Her disdain for him only became more obvious the longer she spoke while her body changed with every single word she spat out. That blatant disregard of his "infallible" power while speaking in broken language only made everything all the worse. His body trembling so much he didn't notice what Elizabeth did.

Slowly but surely demonic energy began to seep through the divine demonic vessel, following the potent flow were darkened lines, quickly beginning to pain those familiar tattoos across her flesh.

She even got back those black dots that acted as eyebrows.

"If you think you are so strong then see how you deal with an angry wyrm's breath!"

His roar being met with one from his beast that instantly had sparks of fire appear within it's open circular maw as it reeled its body back. Instantly panic filled the human girls mind. At the same time a realisation overcame her as she remembered her thoughts a few minutes ago.

It wasn't the only strange thought she had at the time as the panic practically tripplied before exploding out at the same time the wyrm threw its body forward. A thick beam of orange fire erupting forth to consume those who dared anger its master. Something it indeed succeeded in doing.

"HAHAHA BURN FOR YOUR FOOLISHNESS!"

Meanwhile, within the fire, Elizabeth found her smaller body perfectly shielded by the divine demon as she could only stand there in a stupor while looking around her.

The three powerful demons just looked at each other casually as if they weren't standing within a full powered (although lesser) dragon's breath. That hamster even yawned while looking around only to jump when he finally noticed "Chokin-Bako standing right behind him. Immediately cursing the "infinite bitch".

Hopefully whoever that was merciful & understanding enough to not be mad at her for the archdemons colourful choice of directed language.

"When the hell did you get here?!"

"Oh? I've always been here but just judged it to be best if I wasn't seen as it could ruin the setup that the divine demon had been preparing for."

Nonchalantly answering while pushing their unusual glasses up by the bridge via a single index finger.

"You need to not do that; I could have blasted you!"

"I'm sure I would be quite unaffected by such a rushed attack."

The smile on their face not wavering as they answered calmly - the two arguing being really surreal when their current location was taken into account.

Only broken up when their leader finally spoke up.

"Need be careful who messes with maldito mocoso."

Turning over her shoulder to look at the glasses wearing half-spirit; causing them to laugh nervously while holding their hands up as it to stop a charging beast or at least trying to calm one.

"I certainly meant no harm nor do I wish to ruin your fun, as my desire for your success is high, as I'm sure you already know."

"Keep that way, primer juez."

Their words as well as conversation confused not only Elizabeth but the archdemon.

At the same time neither was going to question Victory, if for very different reasons, whether it be for complete loyalty or fear of more retaliation.

"So what is your plan so I do not step on your toes again?"

Finally someone asked the question they all wanted to know; yet the answer only brought more confusion as the demoness promptly pointed…

Directly at Elizabeth.

"She beat up idiota."

"M-me?!"
