Despite my best attempt to get this over with as fast as possible, I had only killed 8 of the 20 goblins for my mission, and I hadn't even begun with the sand crawlers. I would need to stay a while longer, as it seemed my actions hadn't gone unnoticed. I watched a horde of goblins searching for me. I was just glad I had found an empty box, hidden well, with some soft materials inside, so I made myself comfortable. I would need to wait.
But as the hours passed, I grew concerned. Liv, Kusina, Mom—they would be worried. Fuck. I wouldn't be able to go out without being caught. Fuck, fuck, fuck.
System: Hey bud, chill. They'll be fine. After this mission, I'll drop you off a few minutes after I took you, so take a nap and focus on the mission.
When I heard that, the stress left my shoulders and seemed to escape me in one big breath. "Thanks. I guess you're not so bad after all." I laid back and got comfortable. With less to worry about, I could sleep just a little more easily. For now, this would be my home for just a little longer. I closed my eyes, and finally, I could get some sleep.
When I woke, I took some time to stretch before looking through the hole in the box to see if foot traffic had slowed. It seemed to have slowed a bit, but not as much as I had hoped. This would make things difficult. Maybe it was time I found somewhere else to finish my mission. I would need to find a way past the group of goblins that seemed to never leave the exit.
