Earlier at 00:45 AM
A random stray orphan was walking the streets of Arx Polaris, and at that moment he just gave up on life, he then started looking at the moon, it was full and it's light was utterly beautiful especially because the moon was full.
While the kid was aimlessly starring at it, he saw someone infront of it who have apeared for a very short moment and disappeared, the kid then felt something deep within him, as if that person who have apeared for a very short time will offer him a second chance in this awful world, and obviously it will be better to look for this man because he had nothing else to do other than to sit at his place to wait for death to come and take him,
And so the child started looking everywhere trying to find where that person have gone and who is he.
He kept searching for an entire forty minutes on where that person was, but because he didn't have any places to start searching at, he decided to open his eyes and look for any evidence and luckily for him, he saw an absurdly large yellow lightning spear that could be seen from any corner of the city.
So the child went there in hopes he finds anything that could lead him to the man he saw earlier, but when he arrived there, he was shocked from what he saw, there was no one on the streets, but the entire street was near completely destroyed and there's was corpses of other people on the street.
the corpses weren't normal, it was as if they were statues of ash, some were fallen on the ground while others already died while standing, but one thing they all had in common was the fact that they all had a screaming face on their last moments.
The child then heard some heavy foot steps that were coming from a building nearby so he quickly ran and hided behind another building, the person that was responsible for these heavy footsteps have apeared and he was no ordinary human, when the child saw him he lost his mind because of how horrific and large that thing was.
That thing then proceeded to get rid of all the corpses and fixed the entire street as if nothing have happened in the first place, that gaint thing then left and the child just realised that there's no hope anymore if there are things like these are roaming the streets.
so he thought that instead of risking his life to search for someone and maybe in the process he will get killed, he thought and knew that it will be better for him to just get back to his old spot and watch the moon on his final moments, at least he will be doing something he loves.
When he was back to that spot the time was 01:35 AM, his stomach was starting to hurt because it started to digest itself, but he didn't mind the pain, and said to himself:
"If that's how death feels like, then just be quick, i don't want to be of this world any more."
And he starred at the moon for thirty seconds and closed his eyes afterwards, his eyes were closed for another thirty seconds and after that he heard someone says:
"Hey kid, i know you have been through some shit but i guess life could get better, can't it?"
The child thought he was hearing some voices from his head until he felt a hand that was large enough that it covered his whole chest, at this moment he understood that these are not hallucinations so he opened his eyes and so the exact same thing from earlier, the childs facial expressions were horrified so that thing pulled back and said:
"Ok ok, no touching, but damn you are skinny as hell!" That thing then smelled a meat pie in the building they were at and entered the apartment while no one noticed him, took the meat pie and went back up to the kid and said:
"Here, eat this, lil guy." The child not having the enough energy to run away or scream, had no option but to do as he was said to do and started eating the pie, the thing ghen said:
"By the way, my name is Yhormngan, or you can just call me Yhorm, how about you? What is your name?" The child hesitated for a moment because he didn't remember it very well but after a moment he remembered it and said:
"Solarian, that is the name i remember my parents called me before they passed away..."
"Sorry to hear that,...but can i know why you were there, when i fixed the street i felt something was wrong and when i see you now, i feel damn sure that you are the one who was there, am i wrong?"
"No, no you are right."
"And why were you spying on me? And don't think much of the corpses that were on the street, they were already some degenerate group of criminals who were going to kidnap a child to get money from its family, and i dealt with them."
"...well, i was...searching for someone i have seen jumping high into the air,...i felt like, my life will change if i followed him, he apeared like my last hope infront of the moon, as if he is an entire sun that have covered the light of the moon and was telling me to rise and not give up yet."
After two minutes, the kid have finished the pie on his own, Yhormngan then said:
"How about i take you to his house? I do know him as i fight and work under his command and he was the one who sent me for you!"
"*gasp* you are!?!?"
"Mmhhmm, now let's get moving because, hooooo, is going through some insane shit in the concilium right now, let's just get back earlier." Yhormngan then had Solarian get on his chest and summoned roots that will grap Solarian tightly on him so he wouldn't fall.
They have been running through that storm for quite some time and suddenly a severe pain have gone through Yhormngan at 2:00 AM, and he had to stop and drop the child, started talking in agony and said:
"LI-SSIEN UP HEEE---REE, SOOMEONE, WI--LL COME A AND GET YOU, STA-A-AY IN HERE AND DON'T MOAUUVE-" and then Yhormngan withered away due to that claw that landed on Ahab's face, at that moment Solarian stayed in the storm trembling for fifteen minutes stright until Albert have picked him up, who still didn't know why Solarian was here but still did as how Ahab have said.
