"I didn't expect you to actually find this place. How did you locate me?"
At this moment, Tang San seemed like a completely different person. His expression was dark and twisted, his once calm demeanor replaced by overwhelming hostility.
His scarlet eyes were bloodshot, filled with a terrifying and eerie aura.
Across his arms and exposed skin, countless black, sinister markings rapidly emerged, like a corrupted network of veins.
His face bulged with thick veins and pulsating muscle, making him resemble a complete and utter demon.
Chrysanthemum Douluo stared at Tang San, his lips trembling in disbelief.
He never would've imagined… Tang San was one of them too!
What has this world become?
Chrysanthemum Douluo gasped for air, nearly choking on his own panic.
Why is it that everyone else who transmigrates into another world lives a smooth-sailing life—but me? I end up in this madness?!
Each so-called "chosen one" is more ridiculous than the last. He had thought everything was under control… but in the end—
He was the biggest fool of all.
Lin Fan looked at Tang San's twisted form and shook his head, mocking him coldly.
"Look at you. Not quite man, not quite monster."
"It would've been better if you had just died back then. Why drag things out like this? Zerg Overmind, this world no longer belongs to you. There's no place left for you to hide."
Tang San glared at Lin Fan with venomous hatred.
"If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be reduced to this!"
"I was supposed to be the one in control!"
"Still clinging to your delusions… but this time, your luck's run out," Lin Fan said flatly, waving his hand.
A crimson cage surged from the ground, instantly encasing Tang San within.
Lin Fan then turned his gaze toward Chrysanthemum Douluo, who stood nearby, and gave him a faint smile.
"So... how should I deal with you?"
Chrysanthemum Douluo forced a friendly smile and spoke carefully,
"Let's talk this out, buddy. I can tell you all about my golden finger. I'll even let you be the boss—I'll follow your lead. How about it?"
Lin Fan raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Then tell me—what's your cheat ability?"
"I've got a system. It awakened right when I transmigrated into this world."
A glint of interest flashed through Lin Fan's eyes, and his heart skipped a beat.
A system, huh?
If you were to rank the golden fingers given to transmigrators, systems would always make the top three.
From minor abilities and black-tech gadgets to full-blown cultivation techniques from mythological realms—even fragments of cosmic power—systems could include it all.
Some systems were so overpowered, they even sold Pangu's bloodline for points!
A system was like a massive bug, embedded deep within the logic of the host world—granting the transmigrator tools far beyond the realm's current power level.
It could upgrade abilities, provide materials, and turn its host into a world-breaking anomaly.
Even Lin Fan, the current Zerg Overlord, felt a hint of apprehension when it came to systems like that.
Still outwardly calm, Lin Fan asked, "Tell me more. What does your system do exactly?"
"It's called the Destined Villain System. It only activated recently. It randomly gives me missions, and as long as I complete them, I get rewards."
Chrysanthemum Douluo laid everything out honestly.
He knew that lying now was pointless. The man before him could end his life at any moment with a flick of the wrist.
Lin Fan nodded slightly. "And what's your current strength level?"
"Ninety-sixth rank, Title Douluo."
So he had gained one rank.
Apparently, this system wasn't one of the overpowered ones.
Lin Fan exhaled in relief. On second thought, it made sense—if Chrysanthemum Douluo truly had that kind of power, he would've already attacked him.
Why else would he be here flattering him instead?
Lin Fan wasn't naive enough to believe that transmigrators would naturally join hands and become sworn brothers just because they shared the same origin.
In reality, most transmigrators wished they were the only special one in their new world.
Many wouldn't hesitate to eliminate the competition.
With that in mind, a bold idea surfaced in Lin Fan's heart.
He silently asked the Hive Mind:
"Can we extract another person's energy and convert it into Zerg biomass?"
[Confirmed. As long as Zerg genetic material is implanted, the subject will never betray the Overlord.]
Lin Fan's eyes gleamed slightly—he now had a plan.
Looking at Chrysanthemum Douluo, he smiled more kindly and asked,
"Would you like to join us? Control this vast army?"
As he spoke, he gestured to the countless Hydralisks and Zerglings crouched in rows beside him.
Chrysanthemum Douluo eyed the strange creatures. He didn't know what they were…
But remembering their ferocity in battle, he swallowed nervously and nodded. "Yes… I'd like that."
Lin Fan's smile widened as he beckoned.
"Come here. I'll share some of my essence with you. Once it fuses with your body, you'll gain command authority."
Chrysanthemum Douluo hesitantly walked forward, though his mind was on high alert.
If anything seemed off, he was ready to summon his Martial Spirit and strike back immediately.
One step... two steps...
He approached slowly, his gaze fixed warily on Lin Fan.
"Hey!"
Suddenly, a voice interrupted him.
"What?"
Startled, Chrysanthemum Douluo instinctively turned to look—relieving a sliver of tension from his mind.
Xiao Wu's eyes lit up with a crimson glow, firing a tangible beam straight into Chrysanthemum Douluo's pupils.
"Queen's Gaze!"
Xiao Wu had launched a sneak attack using one of her soul skills!
"ARGHHH!!"
Chrysanthemum Douluo screamed in agony as his mind spiraled into chaos. His consciousness was fragmented—he couldn't focus at all.
Lin Fan's eyes flashed sharply. He lunged forward, gripping Chrysanthemum Douluo's arm.
A dark light surged from his palm as a set of organic Zerg armor wrapped around his hand, and an energy blade materialized.
Shhk!
With one vicious slash, Chrysanthemum Douluo's left arm was severed, hitting the ground with a dull thud.
"AAAGHHHHHH!!"
"You bastard! I'll never forgive you—AAAH!!"
Chrysanthemum Douluo stumbled back, clutching his bleeding stump and squeezing his eyes shut.
The mental anguish and the raw pain of losing his arm sent his nerves into sheer torment.
He had never experienced pain like this before. Cold sweat poured down his face like rain.
Lin Fan sneered and waved his hand.
Instantly, the ground surged with Creep, which spread rapidly and devoured the severed arm—dissolving it completely.
Then, Lin Fan kicked Chrysanthemum Douluo to the ground, pressing a foot on his chest. Slowly, he drew the energy blade across his face.
"So tell me... which part should I slice off next?"
Chrysanthemum Douluo screamed, thrashing beneath him.
"YOU'RE INSANE!! I swear, I'll never rest until you're dead!!"
