I was hanging out with Melody when I noticed that she was acting unusually off. So I asked her what's wrong sensing something wrong but she was evasive in answering the question. For the next few days I noticed that Melody's movement became more sluggish, until I heard later that she passed out during class.
When I heard that Melody passed out, I immediately went to the school infirmary to check up on her. Arriving at the infirmary I saw that she was surrounded by friends also trying to check if she was alright. So I waited for them to finish and entered the place to ask the same thing as the others. She replied with an answer that she was alright but I was not convinced by looking at her complexion.
Giving Melody a judging stare and spoke in a tone to show that I was not convinced. So I pressed on what was really going on to try help her the supposed problem. With a sigh she told she has a terminal illness and that she only has a until the end of the semester to live in others words until graduation. Which left in shock that it left that it took me a while to snap out. I asked why, why didn't she tell me? Why didn't she tell anyone? She answered with "I'm sorry" and broke down in tears saying that she was scared of dying and was not ready for it among other things. So I let her pour her heart out and listened to her cry.
