Chapter 6 - Chapter-06 - Trash-Gambit.

"He is an old friend, and he has no morals. He also has deep ties with the Emperor; he does not mind when it comes to business."

The Overseer's eyes were wide and jaw open.

I ignored this old Overseer.

"And I needed samples to show what kind of weapon standards and equipment, uniform and horses too. Also, it's not like the army is paying for it, so I needed to arrange money too, all for the sake of saving my life."

I snorted.

"Also, didn't I save all your lives? Were you not all heavily wounded? How do you think you all were able to walk in a week after such grievous wounds? I had the life-saving pills with me. I wasted so much precious pills and money on you. If I wanted to get rid of you, I would not have saved any of you."

Commander Venk was highly confused about this, and that's why he was not going all ape shit on me.

"Hmph…if we had died, then you were surely dead no matter what you did?"

"Really? Even if I gift General Garrokh West a 100-year aged FireYolk Wine?"

Commander Venk almost slurped at the name of FireYolk Wine.

"You are bluffing?"

"What if I am bluffing? Would you be able to take a risk? I even have something for the Emperor if you think I cannot sway the Emperor on my way."

"You DARE use Emperor vices to profit for your own cause?"

"May the Emperor live as long as the sun and moon."

"You will not be able to escape with flattery."

"Did I try to escape? You all failed to protect me and almost died. What was I supposed to do? Wait for my death in that jungle?"

"You left us naked, without weapons and armor, our horses or anything."

"I saved your life, tended to your wounds, didn't you brag about that you were an elite force? You can live on land on your own for months without need for proper food and anything?"

Commander Venk had no more arguments against me as he only glared. So I turned to the Overseer.

"What was the price we agreed upon? 1000 gold?"

"What?" The Overseer immediately snapped. "When did I agree to that price?"

"You didn't? Then return the item…I have an urgent delivery for the army."

The Overseer felt the mistake he made.

"Don't waste my time, old fart! Give me the money or my items, or do I have to ask Commander Venk here that you are holding a key army supply?"

"What key army supplies? This is…" The Overseer immediately shut his mouth. This much Succubus Tears would land him in big trouble.

He also thought deeply as he looked at me. I was able to read his mind, what was going on in his mind. "The way this cursed Blackwood is expert is shifting blame, he will definitely blame everything on me."

I smirked, and the Overseer could tell that I am able to easily predict what's going on in his mind.

With glaring hateful eyes, his fingers ran through his sleeve pocket, and then he pulled out a Spatial Ring.

With a reluctant hand, he gave it to me. "This is 14 minus 5 of your debt and one for the price of this Spatial Ring."

I took it nonchalantly, but inside I took a deep breath, a deep relief. Finally, I have money, and now I will never run out of it at all, ever.

"And the delivery?"

The Overseer gritted his teeth as if he was cutting off his own flesh, but again his fingers ran through his sleeve pocket and pulled out a small paper slip.

It was a thick paper slip.

I didn't question it, but I felt the shock in Commander Venk's eyes on the back of my head.

"This is more than 5, how much did my father pay you for this?"

"That's none of your business."

"But the loan paper?"

He pulled it out and displayed it to everyone. "In the witness of everyone here, this document says Cane Blackwood owes 5000 Gold to me, and hereby I am burning it up as I have been paid by his…son…Dane Blackwood."

"Wait…burning it does not prove I have paid off the debt."

"What? What proof do you want then?"

"Another document that says I have paid it, and we both will keep a copy of it."

"A Twin document? Why? It's just 5000 gold. Do you not trust the witnesses?"

"You don't get to talk about trust here."

The Overseer wanted to utterly refuse, but in the presence of Commander Venk, he is now helpless.

He now totally regrets inviting a mongoose to get rid of a Blackwood Snake.

"Fine…follow me."

Everyone followed the Overseer to his office. It was filled with rare items, antiques, and displays.

"Oooh…what's this?" I pointed at a wall filled with rare collections of small skulls.

The Overseer ignored me, he is now completely done with me.

He quickly pulled out a long document and wrote the document two times on one end and the other end the same information.

Then he gave me the ink brush. I copied the same.

Then he pulled out his seal and cut his thumb and used his blood as a seal and sealed on both ends.

I only cut my thumb and thumb print on both ends.

Then he lifted up the paper to tear it in half.

"Wait! I want Commander Venk to seal it as a Witness."

Commander Venk didn't mind, and he did it on both ends.

The Overseer quickly tore it up before I could add or demand more.

"Now get out of my tent!"

I smiled.

As I was walking away from his tent, I noticed something, or rather, I had my eye on that item from the moment I walked into his office.

"What is that?" I asked.

"Just go away! I don't want to make any deal with you ever."

"Really? Not even for this?" I pulled a small vial; it had two drops in it, but it was glowing.

The Overseer's eyes went wide. "YOU!"
