"I'm telling you, Ty… he's the worst," Harper reported to Tyla as they walked down the hallway.
"The absolute, literal worst."
Tyla replied, watching her friend with poorly hidden amusement, sipping on a strawberry smoothie like this was her morning entertainment.
Harper also held hers in hand. She was just feeling too angry to sip it, her hands flying in the air as she ranted.
"He took the book right out of my hands!" Harper continued, voice pitching higher with every word. "Then acted like I wasn't even there! Just sat there flipping pages like I didn't exist! Who even does that?!"
"Don't mind him, girl, he's a dummy!" Tyla spoke.
"Don't worry, I wasn't even going to." Harper rolled her eyes. "Idiot," she muttered, squeezing the bottle in her hand absentmindedly.
Tyla couldn't help but giggle. "Hey, remember, alright? That jerk from the library isn't the strawberry smoothie in your hand," she reminded.
