Chapter 64 - Doesn’t Feel Fake Anymore

Logan hadn't meant for it to happen.

One moment Harper was demanding answers, her eyes wide and burning, her voice trembling as she said she deserved to know. The next, his restraint snapped, and he closed the distance.

His mouth claimed hers without warning, rough and unyielding, as if punishing both of them. Harper gasped against him, shock flooding her, but before she could think, his hand slid to her waist, gripping tight. Her hoodie bunched beneath his fingers, the warmth of his touch seeping straight through to her skin.

Her body went rigid, but not from fear. Her pulse leapt wildly, her chest pressed to his as his other hand came up, fingers brushing along her jaw. The touch was surprisingly careful compared to the hunger of his kiss, his thumb grazing her cheekbone before anchoring her in place.
