Chapter 92 - We weren’t Real

The library's fluorescent lights had been burning into Harper's eyes for hours, the pages of her textbook blurring until the words made no sense anymore. She rubbed at her temples, stacked her notes together with more force than necessary, and finally gave up. Her body ached from sitting too long, and the weight of exhaustion pressed heavily against her shoulders.

Stepping out into the night air was like surfacing after being underwater. The quiet was sharp, almost too still, the kind of silence that made every sound echo louder. Her boots crunched against the gravel path, and she pulled her jacket tighter, stifling a yawn as she headed toward the dorms.

And then she stopped.

He was there.

Logan.
