Harper blinked away the daze, trying to steady her breathing. Her chest still rose and fell too fast, her lips sore from the kiss that refused to leave her mind. She swallowed hard and fumbled for her phone, screen light flashing against her flushed face. Her fingers trembled slightly as she typed to Tyla to pick her up.
She hit send before she could change her mind. The weight of the night suddenly pressed down — Logan's touch, his words, that look in his eyes. She sighed shakily and waved at the bartender. "One more," she muttered.
The glass slid toward her, condensation cool against her fingertips. She lifted it, took a long sip, and tried not to think about him — but every burn of the liquor only reminded her of the warmth of his lips.
"Stupid."She muttered to herself,she wasn't supposed to kiss him.
