Chapter 27 - Upper Yard

Luca arrived in Birka and headed to the deserted forest. He had intended to go directly to Angel Island, but changed his mind because he wanted to eat the fruit and experience it now.

I was now in the main room of the ship. I pulled out the drawer next to my bed, and three fruits appeared in front of me: the Fire Logia Fruit, the Falcon Zoan Fruit, and finally, my blue fruit.

I took the fruit, got off the ship, and entered the forest. I looked at the fruit in my hand, and a smile formed on my face. "With this fruit, I can join the ranks of the world's powerful."

"Shhhhhh."

I took a bite of the fruit. How can I describe the taste? It tasted like rotten fish, dirt, and everything disgusting you can think of. It was beyond disgusting.

I threw away the remains of the fruit. One bite was enough to gain strength.

I stood up and extended my arms, and a terrifying burst of blue lightning tore through the air with terrifying screams. The nearby trees split in half, their leaves instantly catching fire. "Wow!" I screamed as I aimed another bolt of lightning at a massive boulder, transforming it into molten lava in an instant.

"That's terrifying!"

I tried a new technique, *turning my right forearm into pure lightning* and slamming it onto the ground. The ground split like glass, zigzagging cracks of electrical energy stretching for dozens of meters. The strike was enough to destroy a large area.

"Ha... hahaha!" I laughed madly as I unleashed a *circular lightning storm* around me. Trees within a fifty-meter radius were reduced to ash in a flash. The rising smoke formed a black cloud in the sky.

Now let me experience the speed this fruit gives me.

I took a step back, closed my eyes, and tried to feel the energy flowing through my body. "Speed... I should be able to move like lightning, almost at the speed of light, right?"

I concentrated my energy into my feet, then propelled my body forward with all my might. Just a moment... and then everything around me disappeared. The trees, the ground, the air... just a terrifying hiss piercing my ears as I felt my body ripped apart from the speed.

"Aaaah!!!"

I crashed into a tree, flying at breakneck speed. The ground hit so hard that I rolled like a ball. I felt a sharp pain in my foot. I looked down... two toes on my right foot were twisted terribly.

"Damn, that hurt. I broke two toes... I didn't balance the momentum."

I crawled slowly and pulled myself back up. "It's okay... second try..." I smiled, wiping the blood from my forehead.

I concentrated more this time, trying to control my momentum, and then... boom!!

I took off again, but this time I was faster, and... I hit a huge boulder that suddenly appeared in front of me!

My face slammed right into it, and I heard a loud crack.

I fell to the ground, blood pouring from my nose, everything spinning around me.

"Ah... my nose... damn it!"

I lay on the ground, laughing halfway between the pain and the stupidity. "Controlling speed... is harder than shooting lightning."

After a few minutes of lying on the ground, I began to catch my breath. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. "No need for full-throttle... speed isn't everything, control is."

I sat cross-legged on the ground, calmly focusing my energy, imagining myself as a small electrical current, not a devastating lightning bolt. I felt a slight warmth run through my muscles, raised my head, and smiled. "Let's start with the basics..."

My gaze fixed on a small tree ten meters away. Then, in a split second, I spurted my energy into my feet and took off—not at superhuman speed, but at a lightning speed my body could handle.

"Fuuuum!"

I felt the air ripple around me, and it was all over before I could even blink. I found myself standing in front of the tree, my hand on it.

"I... did it."

I laughed lightly, this time without blood, without fractures. My body was pulsing with life, but without pain.

"This level of speed suits my body right now... I can increase speed in parallel with my physical strength."

I raised my hand, unleashing a small pulse of lightning from my fingertip, piercing the tree trunk with a precise, clean hole.

Looking up at the gray sky above me, the cloud of smoke still rising from the previous storm, I felt the need to test my limits.

"I've tried speed... now let's see how much power I can actually generate."

I took a deep breath, raised my hands toward the sky, closed my eyes, and began to gather energy. It was like piling fire inside a live battery, each spark, each pulse, accumulating in my core and then traveling to my extremities. Electricity began to creep from my shoulder to my forearm, then to my palms, and the air around me began to hum sharply.

"Twenty million? No... let's try thirty million volts."

I whispered as my veins glowed, the skin above my hand began to emit a sharp blue glow, and lightning coiled around my arm like a mad snake.

I concentrated all that energy into my right palm, aimed it skyward, and then suddenly brought it down to the ground in front of me.

"Thirty million volts: Skybomb!!!"

The ground beneath the blow exploded with a terrifying explosion, like a meteor strike. The blue light swallowed everything, and the resulting sound was enough to terrify any creature in the forest.

Trees within a hundred meters of meteoroids were reduced to lumps of charcoal, the ground cracked in a terrifying circular pattern, and the air itself became saturated with ozone and combustion.

I fell to my knees after the blow, my hand still shaking from the sheer amount of energy that had passed through it, and my hearing was distorted from the force of the explosion.

"That... was terrifying..."

I whispered, breathing heavily, a satisfied smile spreading across my face.

"This is as much as I have right now."

I looked down at my hand, feeling a slight tingle.

"Is this what Enel felt all along? It feels wonderful and refreshing. I love it."

"Now, it's time to go to Angel Island."

I climbed back aboard my ship and took the helm. The ship was sailing slowly over the calm sea, while I used my telekinetic ability to fly it above the water, away from any potential danger. The sky was gray, and thick clouds were blocking the sunlight, but the sea was calm, covered in a blanket of clouds.

Just as I was mid-flight, I felt something strange approaching the ship. The sea trembled around me, as if something massive underwater was moving at great speed toward us. I looked down and saw a huge shadow emerging from the depths of the sea.

In an instant, the waters lifted it. It was a huge sea serpent, about 100 meters long, its body black with glowing yellow spots. Its bright eyes raced toward the ship, as if searching for prey.

"Damn... this isn't normal," I whispered as I watched the enormous creature approach.

The snake, with its mouth wide open, lunged out of the sea toward my ship, which was flying near the sea surface.

The ship moved nimbly, dodging the terrifying bite from the monster.

I jumped off the ship and stood in the air. "Okay, I can test my power on this monster."

I aimed my hand at the snake, and a massive blue lightning bolt shot out and struck its body.

The blue lightning swooped down on the giant snake at tremendous speed, slamming into its massive body. Parts of its body exploded instantly, splitting in half, and plunging into the sea in a shattered state.

The sea around me roared with the lightning explosion, as the snake completely disappeared into the sea, leaving behind a cloud of smoke.

"Huh? Is it over so easily? What a terrifying power!"

"Okay, then I continue my journey to Angel Island."

A few days later, Angel Island appeared before me.

The ship landed on a floating platform near the edge of Angel Island, amidst the stillness of white clouds. The city was just as I'd left it, suspended in the sky, gleaming softly.

Her home...

I walked through the stone alleys with steady steps. Finally, I arrived at the wooden door, took a deep breath, and knocked three short times, in a rhythm that echoed her heart.

The door opened quickly, and Inara appeared.

Her silver hair was slightly damp, as if she'd just stepped out of the shower. It cascaded over her shoulders, the cool light of the sunset reflecting off it. Her voluptuous body was not hidden beneath the thin pajamas clinging to her. The sheer fabric revealed more than it concealed, and the look in her eyes was enough to ignite a fire in my chest.

"Luca..." she whispered, as if reclaiming a breath held back for months.

"I'm back," I said, approaching her slowly.

Before she could reply, Jan, her husband, appeared behind her, his face grim, standing silently. His eyes were filled with hatred, but his body was still, powerless to intervene. His fist was clenched on the doorframe, as if to stop himself from screaming.

"You've been gone for four months," he said in a cold voice. "I thought you were dead."

I didn't answer. I looked only at Inara, who turned her back and gently pulled my hand away.

"Ignore him," she said, smiling at me, then closed the door behind me.

I stepped inside. The house was warm, smelling of my familiar cologne. Nothing had changed, except that her gaze was bolder, more passionate this time.

"I missed you," she said, placing her hands on my chest, "and I don't intend to let you go again."

In the back, Yann was still standing by the kitchen, staring at us as if swallowing his anger silently. "Inara, you're too close to him."

Inara moved closer, until her body was almost touching mine. She placed her hand gently on my shoulder and said in a low voice, but meant for Yann to hear clearly:

"Yann… I told you before, Luka isn't who you think he is… He's just a boy who needs me, and I… I'm comfortable with him, that's all."

But her tone was laced with something else. Something Yann knew all too well.

Yann tightened his grip. "Even if he's a child, it's dangerous for you to get so close to him."

Inara looked at him silently for a moment, then sighed. "Don't worry about me."

Inara sat on top of me, her plump ass pressing against me. In a natural reaction, my penis became erect and began to touch her vagina.

"Oooohh ... He could see my erect penis and his wife rubbing it passionately, but he didn't know what to do. He had no power over his wife.

He spoke hesitantly one last time, "Inara, this is... too much."

Inara turned toward him, her face flushed red and her breathing rapid. "Jan, it's almost lunchtime. Could you fix it, and leave me with little Luca? I want to have a good talk with him. It's been a while since I last saw you."

"H... Okay." Jan stomped on his dignity and left the room, heading for the kitchen.

"This is the modern man, it seems," I thought to myself as I looked at Jan.

Inara got up from me and headed to the door, tilting her butt seductively. She closed the door and turned toward me.

"I missed you, Luca," she said, unbuttoning her shirt, revealing a white bra.

She came over and sat back down. Her hands wrapped around my neck and began to devour my lips passionately.

My hand moved from behind and began kneading that ass.

"Inara, I have a question for you. Why is Jan the Great so tolerant of you?" I said the question that came to mind immediately.

"Well, on Angel Island, divorce is considered a sin and its punishment is severe. Also, our marriage was at his insistence, so he's very attached to me. But the most important reason is that he's a coward." Inara stopped kissing me and gave me an answer that brought clarity to my mind.

"Okay, one last question. Why did you approach me when I first came to Angel Island and make it so easy for me to reach you?" I asked her another question.

Inara looked at me in surprise and said, "Look at yourself. A handsome young traveler with a sexy, strong body, traveling the seas alone and pursuing his goals. You're very sexy, unlike the conservative inhabitants of this island."

I wanted to ask her another question, but she covered my mouth with her lips. "I haven't seen you for four months, and when you come back, you fill me with questions."

"I'd rather you fill me with something else." She said as she pulled my penis out of my pants.

What happened next is unnecessary to mention.

------

The next day:

Jan was in the living room, looking over some papers, while Luca entered the kitchen, where Inara was preparing dinner.

He approached her from behind, his body pressed against hers. He placed his hands on her waist and whispered in her ear, "This dish will taste bad if I don't taste you first."

Inara gasped softly, turned slowly toward him, and placed her finger on his lips to silence his impulsiveness, but her eyes were shining with desire.

He leaned closer, placing a long kiss on her neck, and her hands slowly rose until they grasped his shirt.

Suddenly, Jan came in for a glass of water. He found them close together, their faces flushed, and the air thick with a subtle warmth.

Inara spoke softly, without stepping too far away:

"Luca is just helping me move the pot... it's heavy."

--------

The next day:

Inara was sitting on the couch, her legs slightly spread, wearing a light nightgown, reading a book.

Luka entered, sat on the floor directly between her legs, and rested his head on her thigh without asking permission.

She raised an eyebrow at first, but didn't object. Instead, she began gently running her fingers through his hair, as if cradling him.

Jan entered from the next room, freezing to the spot as he saw his wife doing this.

Luka, without looking up, said, "Is this a good place to rest, Inara?"

She laughed softly. "The best place in the house."

Jan said nothing... just endured it.

-----;

The next day:

One night, Jan was in the kitchen preparing something to eat when he went upstairs and passed by the bedroom.

He stopped suddenly, the door half open, the light dim.

Inside, Inara stood in front of Luka, suffocatingly close, holding the hem of his shirt between her fingers, slowly lifting it off his body.

"Luka," she whispered. "I want to feel you tonight."

She leaned closer and began to kiss him slowly on his chest.

Jan stood in the dark, hearing their breathing, seeing shadows moving on the wall, and his hand trembling.

But... he didn't enter.

----

The next day:

The steam filled the bathroom, the dim light reflecting off the white walls. Inara stood under the shower, her silver hair completely wet and clinging to her body, drops of water slowly sliding down her skin.

Luka entered from behind, silently, without saying anything. She turned towards him with a small smile and whispered, "I knew you'd come."

He approached her, and she stood behind him to slowly wash his back, running her hand over his shoulders, then wrapping her arms around him and pressing her chest against his. He whispered, "This is the most peaceful bath I've ever taken."

She turned toward him, slowly kissed his neck, then placed her forehead on his chest, the water pouring over them like a curtain concealing everything.

Luka's hands didn't stop, exploring every corner of her body.

The two of them were immersed in the moment, but what they didn't know was that the wooden door hadn't been closed tightly... Jan was passing by from the nearby corridor, catching a glimpse through the small opening of the shadows of two bodies touching each other underwater, and a silent swallow of jealousy.

-----

The next day:

The three of them sat around the table, the atmosphere. Inara sat next to Luca, too close, her arm occasionally touching his, without her making any effort to hide it. Her gaze was warmer than the atmosphere of a family lunch could bear.

Her voice broke the silence with a soft, yet meaningful tone:

"Luka... It's been four days since I returned, and you haven't told me anything about the Thunder Fruit... Wasn't that your intention when you left?"

She looked at him with shining eyes, demanding an answer.

Luka smiled confidently, simply reaching out and placing his hand on top of hers on the table, right in front of Yan's eyes.

"I got it."

Inara's eyes widened, and she was silent for a moment before whispering, "Really?... I knew you'd do it."

As for Yan, he remained staring at them. He didn't speak, but put his spoon aside and lowered his eyes to his plate, as if something inside him was being quietly crushed. He sighed deeply and thought to himself without looking at them:

"Do I have to get used to this kind of conversation during lunch?"

------

A few days later:

In the sky, above the Sea of Clouds

The ship Luca commanded was flying above the sky, shrouded in thick clouds. His target was clear: the Holy Land. After hours of flight, the island began to appear on the horizon, its details becoming more apparent, from its ridiculously huge trees to its tall, luminous towers.

Since obtaining the Thunder Fruit, he had planned to take control of the situation here, but his involvement with Ainara had put him off. But it didn't matter. Since obtaining the Thunder Fruit, I no longer had to rush through everything; I enjoyed it.

Luka was determined to seize his opportunity to seize power here. The Holy Land had been torn apart by war and conflict between the Shandians and the Skybians for 392 years, and he was now in a position of power.

His ship landed on one of the island's floating platforms. He looked at the enormous island. The island was the subject of a conflict between the two warring factions, and everyone was waiting for the moment when the winner would become clear.

In the City Center

Luka walked confidently through the giant trees, his eyes shining with clear determination. He knew his power wouldn't come easily, but with his newfound strength and skills, he could control the situation here.

He encountered the first group of Skybian soldiers standing on the bridge. They looked at him strangely, not recognizing him at first. But then they began to speak in a cold tone: "Who are you? What are you doing here?"

Luka smiled faintly, took his hands out of his pockets, and said confidently, "I am Luca, and I am here to become the new god."

As soon as he said his name, he slowly raised his hand and unleashed a wave of lightning, striking the soldiers and sending them flying into the air. They fell to the ground, unconscious.

As the soldiers fell to the ground, loud sirens blared through the overhanging trees and cloud platforms, signaling an emergency. Within minutes, new units of Skybian soldiers armed with spears and javelins rushed in, surrounding Luca on all sides.

Luca smiled as he advanced towards them, lightning dancing on his fingertips. "Do you think you can touch me?"

One of them pounced and aimed his spear straight at his chest... but it pierced through his body and exited the other side without causing any effect. The injured area turned into sparks before his body re-formed. Faces around him paled in horror, disbelieving what they were seeing.

"I am Lightning, you are nothing more than dust beneath it," Luca said, then unleashed a wave of lightning around him, sweeping through the front ranks and knocking them to the ground.

As he crushed the Skybian units, a group of Shandians emerged from the direction of the forest, confidently running towards the battle, unaware of what lay ahead. They tried to surround him, swinging their axes and swords, but every strike flew past him without effect, met with an electrical blast that sent one of them flying.

"How frustrating it is to fight an untouchable body..." Luca muttered as he reached out to one of them, only to be enveloped by lightning and fall motionless.

Ten minutes of fighting were enough for the arena to become a land of smoke and scorched lightning. Luca stood amidst the rubble, his eyes shining amidst the scattered clouds, his body spitting with sparks.

Suddenly... a deep voice boomed in the sky:

"Enough!"

An elderly man descended from the sky on a large, winged bird, celestial armor encircling his body and a crown of feathers atop his head. He held a lance luminous with ancient power, his eyes watching Luca warily. He was Gunfor, the current god of the Holy Land.

Pierre, his bird, stopped in front of Luca, his wings flapping vigorously. Gunfor studied the soldiers lying on the ground, then looked intently at the young man standing immobile amidst the destruction.

"You did this?" He asked in a quiet voice, yet filled with weight and awe.

Luka looked up with a slight smile and said, "Yes. I am Luka... I have come to become the new god of this land."

Gunvor remained silent for a moment, then slowly lowered his spear and said in a stern voice, "Then let's see if you can force me."

Gunvor's voice echoed in the distance:

"Then let's see if you can force me!"

The old god lunged at Lucca with his luminous spear, swinging it with a sweeping motion that usually intimidated his enemies. Lucca didn't move until the metal tip was close, then exploded his body into lightning, leaving Gunvor to strike only the air.

He appeared directly behind him, his voice low and mocking:

"If you were blind, you might have hit me."

Gunvor quickly turned, but Lucca disappeared again in a flash, then reappeared above him, his feet glowing with electricity, before delivering a lightning kick that landed like a small meteor. It exploded beneath Gunvor, sending him flying several meters, but he managed to catch his breath and land beside Pierre, his winged bird.

"Oh... you're still standing?" Lucca said, walking calmly toward him, his hands in his pockets as if taking a stroll.

Gunvor took to the air, mounted on Pierre, and began hurling a series of energy spears at Luca. The spears repeatedly pierced his lightning-like body, to no avail, while Luca stood still, not even bothering to move.

"I think I saw a turtle attack faster than you," he said, then suddenly leaped into the sky, appearing directly in front of Pierre. He struck him with a lightning-covered palm, causing the bird to flinch and fall out of the air, rolling onto a platform.

Gunvor regained his balance with difficulty, raising his spear to stab Luca in the chest... but his body vaporized like sparks.

He appeared beside him and whispered in his ear, "You can't even touch me... How do you plan to stop me?"

He pushed him away with a flash of electricity, sending him rolling to the ground, and stood over him. But he didn't end the fight. Instead, he stepped back and let him stand, then said, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "Come on, fight me. Prove you're worthy of the title of God."

Gathering his remaining strength, Gunvor struggled to his feet, his eyes filled with humiliating determination. He tried to unleash a wave of energy through his spear, but it was dissipated when Luca raised his hand and pulled lightning from the sky itself, striking him with a single bolt that fell over his head.

Light flooded the area for a moment, and when it cleared, Gunvor was kneeling, his armor cracked, his spear falling from his hand, and Pierre groaning beside him.

Luca slowly approached him, watching him as if he were watching a statue about to collapse.

"How many times do you want me to defeat you before you realize?... You are the past, and I am the future, and you yourself will help me become the new god."

Gunvor didn't answer, just stared at him with defeated eyes, panting, unable even to stand.
