Li Yunjia knew her son well enough to understand that he wouldn't make such a decision hastily.
"Yes, but I can't tell you now. You will find out later." Lu Zhen said.
"Okay, you two keep eating, I'll go get your brother." Mother Zhen replied as she stood up from her seat and left the dining room.
Ten minutes later, she came down, followed by a teenager who was almost the same height as Lu Zhen.
In fact, he was only a head shorter. One could tell that by the time he stopped growing, they would be the same height, and even if there was a difference, he would probably be only an inch or two shorter.
He was a handsome boy, almost androgynous with dark brown eyes, a sharp jaw, and thin lips.
Looking at him, Leng Pan felt that the boy looked at least seventy percent like his elder brother. You could tell they were brothers at a glance.
"Morning brother, morning sister-in-law." Lu Tao greeted the two before taking a seat opposite them at the dining table.
"Morning."
"Morning."
The two placed their chopsticks down and replied in unison.
"Mom said we are moving to the city center. When are we leaving?" Lu Tao asked straightforwardly.
The boy practically worshipped his brother and would never question his decision. So, if his brother said they were moving, then they were moving.
He didn't need to ask why because he knew that his brother had a reason for that.
"Eat your breakfast and pack whatever you want. We'll leave soon because your sister-in-law and I need to go somewhere.
Also, Mom invited my uncle and aunt to come to the apartment this evening for a meal to celebrate my marriage together.
Even if we are not holding a wedding ceremony for the time being, we still need to go through some formalities." Lu Zhen said to his mother who had sat back down and resumed eating.
"Okay, I will talk to him and have him come earlier to help with the cooking." Mother Zhen said in a cheerful voice.
She was happy because her son's marriage was indeed something to be happy about.
Inviting family members to eat together was a simple way to show her daughter-in-law that she was taken seriously and as part of the family.
When Leng Pan heard what Lu Zhen said she immediately understood what he meant.
He had said that he would find a way to get his uncle and aunt to the apartment before the apocalypse started so they could survive together as a family.
Now she knew how he would make sure they stayed together.
The apocalypse would start at around 7:00 pm that evening, which is the time people would be eating dinner.
If it started while they were in their apartment, of course, they wouldn't be able to leave.
Thinking of such a clever way to protect his family, Leng Pan turned to look at Lu Zhen with admiration.
Seeing the look on his wife's face, Lu Zhen was filled with pride. If he had a tail, it would be standing high and wagging to seek praise.
Seeing the looks the two children kept exchanging, Li Yunjia didn't ask anything and just focused on finishing her breakfast so that she could go and pack.
After breakfast, everyone went back to their rooms to pack.
"What do you want to take from this villa? Tell me so that I can put them in the space before we leave. I don't think we will come back here." Leng Pan said as she neatly arranged the clothes, shoes, bags, and jewelry Lu Zhen had bought for her in boxes and suitcases and put them in the space.
Lu Zhen was standing beside her helping her fold the clothes and classify them as she packed.
"I don't have anything of sentimental value here that is worth bringing into the apocalypse. But I would appreciate it if we could take our bed with us.
Upon hearing him mention the bed, memories of what had happened on that bed that morning came crashing back into Leng Pan's mind and her face turned red at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Seeing how she was blushing just from mentioning the bed, Lu Zhen really wanted to throw her back into the bed and dote on her until she couldn't get out of it. But he didn't dare to start because he knew that he wouldn't be able to control himself and stop.
They had a lot of things to do that day and couldn't afford such indulgence. He could always fulfill his fantasies once they settled down.
"Okay, I will take it." Even though Leng Pan was shy, she also felt that the bed on which she lost her virginity of two lifetimes was important and should be kept. So, she agreed.
"By the way, let's drive separate cars today. You go to Uncle Li's restaurant and help pack and load the desserts into his food truck and I will go pick up some food I had ordered from several other restaurants.
Anything else we haven't bought will have to wait. We can always look for more supplies later." Leng Pan suggested.
The truth is, she wanted to go to her parents' villa and get the food she ordered the previous day from his favorite restaurant.
Since it was a surprise, she had to keep it that way.
"Okay then. Once you are done let me know so that I can tell you where I am. That way you can come directly to pick up everything." Lu Zhen agreed immediately because even though he wanted to be together with his wife all the time, he understood that time was limited.
In the next hour, everyone had packed and put things into the two cars they were going to drive.
Forty minutes after leaving the villa area, the two cars parked at the entrance of their building and Lu Zhen and his brother Lu Tao got out first and started taking luggage out of the cars.
They moved the luggage into the elevator, and Leng Pan and her mother-in-law, who had been told to rest, were following behind them leisurely.
